Good experience. David was very thorough, had the logistics down perfectly, and was always responsive to our concerns. He had good suggestions, but didn't push his ideas on us. The bathrooms are both beautiful and functional.

He managed everything from selection to installation. He had installers come and do it and they did an excellent job. I also had a couple of electrical problems and he had someone come and help me with those. He listens, understands what you're saying, and is very good about working with us to keep costs down.

My original plan was to replace the tile and carpet but water and old termite damage was uncovered when the old tile was removed. The subfloor as well as the front door frame was severely damaged and had to be replaced. Everything turned out beautiful, much better than I imagined.

Very well. Installer was on time, his workmanship was exceptional. Trim outside and inside of door was also replaced and painted. Entire job beautifully and skillfully done. Professional and excellent price.

David was wonderful. My wife and I have a unique kitchen and hearth room space and we needed guidance with how we might begin formatting a plan to design and remodel the space. It is obvious David knows what he is doing. If you ever watch those design and decorating shows on any TV channel and wondered, "How do I find one of those people to help me?" then look no further. David got us thinking about things we would have never thought about before. We plan to use him to help us design and manage the project, however, the initial consultation was well worth the money.

David Schneider - the owner - has worked with us on each and every project. David understands our taste - which are not the norm in this area - and has done a great job of exposing us to a wide range of products that we would have never found. The floor we installed in our main living area is beyond beautiful, unusual and totally fits our decor and lifestyle. We have a large dog so everything has to be selected with this fact in mind. David manages to find us high style materials, finishes and furnishings that perform great and are beautiful. David is a man of his word. When we call our needs and desires are promptly addressed. David listens to us and is genuinely concerned with our needs, goals and desires. Other than wanting it to be perfect he does not come to the work with a huge ego like some designers. My husband and I are both mature adults, empty nesters and work in service industries. Our experience with David and all the people he has working with and for him is that these are people of high integrity. Contractors are notorious for their unreliability and slip shot work - Not SKD. David is a perfectionist. He manages all his sub-contractors and suppliers like they are working in his home. I've often heard him say "I want it done like you are working in your Mother's house" to his people. When David tells us something will be done, delivered or taken care of - it is done. The schedules we get for work are adhered to and my home is not torn up for days while the workmen disappear. Before I was referred to SKD/David by a friend I had to deal with flighty, unreliable people and dishonest people. Thank goodness this is no longer the case. This company - this man - is exactly what I hope for as a home owner for the past 40 years - creative, bright, customer focused, quality conscious and fair. In terms of cost, you get more than what you pay for. If you value service, knowledge and quality then you cannot go wrong hiring these people. Payment terms are fair and cost are always reasonable. The cherry on the top is that David is an excellent designer. He has helped us to make our home a place of beauty that reflect our style and taste. It is not unusual for David to call and say he has just return from some industry show and found something wonderful for us. Working with David is like having a personal style consultant, lifestyle consultant and contractor all balled up into one person. SKD is a novel company that can manage any project from start to finish inside and outside your home. We have even used SKD to assist us with our landscaping needs. We could not be happier to have found this company!

Wonderfully! David is very interested in who you are, and does not force his taste on you. He surveyed both myself and my husband to get to know us better and found common ground on the coloring of our main floor kitchen and bath. We absolutely love our bathroom and our home is beginning to "flow". We are very pleased with David and his attention to detail and he has been very fair with his price.

We were very impressed with David. After spending time with us and learning what we wanted in our kitchen, he was able to provide us with very good design ideas and made us think of things that we would never have thought of on our own. Our kitchen has turned out fantastic, and I would highly recommend Dave for any design or remodel project. Once we moved in, we hired Dave to do some things that the builder just charged too much for.....his prices were very competitive and saved us a significant amount of money compared to others we got bids from.....

I've hired this company to do a number of projects in my home, including basement remodeling, replacement of flooring, exterior painting and this bathroom remodeling. Work has gone smoothly, contractors they work with have been nice, reliable and provided me with good results. The bathroom turned out beautiful!

David and his people are very professional and dedicated to delivering the highest quality possible. From the beginning I felt David was very attuned to my needs, taste and budget. The final results were better than I had imagined. I have subsequently used Schneider Kennedy Design to assist me with many additional projects in my home. Additionally, I have recommended SKD and David to several of my friend and relatives.

We had a problem getting hot water throughout our very large house. It would take as long as 4-5 minutes to get the shower running at the right temperature. I consulted David about the problem and he suggested some modifications to our home's hot water system. He had the plumber install recirculating pumps in a couple of locations. Now, when we turn the faucet, within 15-20 seconds, the water is hot. This is better for us, better for the environment and better for our budget. Additionally, one of our bathrooms was badly designed so that water had damaged the tub/shower enclosure and the walls underneath. David worked out a re-design of this part of the bathroom and got the work done. This involved removing the old tub, installing a new one, repairing the water damage to the walls and door jamb, replacing the existing ceramic tile to go with the existing tile and getting a new glass shower enclosure. It was important that the new part go with the existing part; not an easy task.

Two Representatives from the company visited our home and evaluated the proposed projects. They were very helpful and friendly. We appreciated their time and suggestions. They explained the process thoroughly. In the end, we decided to hold off on the project and weigh our options due to the complexity of the job and the costs involved. David and his associate were very professional and we may procure their services in the future.

SKD met with me in late December and we signed a contract. All work was completed while I was living out of state, and required only two trips back to discuss progress. Communication was done via email with professional and prompt reports, photos and billings. The entire process went extremely well and was much easier than I had anticipated. Working with SKD was a pleasure in comparison to other house building projects that I had undertaken in the past. Any questions or changes in plans were handled quickly and professionally. I was very happy with the amazing design and creative concepts that were presented and then produced in my home. I would without a doubt look forward to working with SKD again and highly recommend their work.

We have found him to be exceptionally detail oriented and takes the time to research our interests and needs before making a recommendation. He was on the job site daily and would communicate with us frequently regarding the progress of the job. We found SKD's proposals to be not only very comprehensive, but also very competitive with other established companies. We are very pleased with the level of involvement that David gave all of our projects. The outcome of all of our projects with SKD has been very positive!

From the moment we contacted Schneider Kennedy Design, we knew they were going to get these jobs done with professionalism and quality. Once the work was started, it was completed in a timely manner and to our exact, original discussions. This company will be performing all of our home improvement and design needs in the future.

Excellent. I needed a very special, only to do as a custom job, dbl shower door with transom. checked with several shower door fabrication & installation companies, but they did not understand, what I needed. David understood the problem immediately & found necessary hdwre to get the job done. The shower door & transom window about it is elegant & beautiful. job was completed over a period of about 1 yr because I kept adding things to the list. Each time David helped to choose something, I decided I wanted to do more. started out just wanting to buy a new bed & SKD was really great at helping me choose. once the bed came in, I knew I wanted the armoir & other pieces. David had vision & suggested that I recover some pieces I already had & these turned out fabulous. Then, he suggested some art & wall decor & an area rug. knew exactly where to go to get just the right fabrics & furniture to match my taste & the things I already had in my home. also saved me a fortune on the draperies.

HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE COLORS FOR THE WALLS AND TOOK LOT OF TIME TO FIGURE OUT THE BEST COLOR WITH THE LIGHTING IN THE ROOM. AS WELL AS THE CARPET AND FURNITURE. WE ENDED UP GOING WITH THE COLORS THAT HE CHOSE FOR THE WALL EVEN THOUGH WE DID NOT END UP GOING WITH HIM. I DID GET CHARGED FOR THIS EVEN THOUGH IT WAS AN ESTIMATE. I WAS NOT TOO HAPPY ABOUT THAT. HE DID GIVE US SOME OTHER TIPS AND OTHER THINGS WE COULD USE, LIKE THE COLORS AND THERE'S A LITTLE CUBBY HOLE ABOVE THE FIREPLACE AND HE GAVE US AN IDEA OF WHAT TO DO WITH THAT WHICH WE WILL PROBABLY GO WITH DOWN THE LINE.
