First the good: 1. The irrigation system price and delivery was excellent. In this case the gentleman doing the irrigation system was outsourced but I do not recall his company name. My overall experience was poor on two key points: 1. When things went south the customer service went south as well. In the end my calls we no longer returned and we were left to repair some of the more shoddy work. 2. The fence repair has several issues: a. The fence is constructed with pressure treated horizontal members and posts and cedar shadow box face. The horizontal members are of the standard 2x4 variety; however, near jobs end the crew ran out of this material and decided to substitute a very visibly different material with consulting me. I immediately noticed the problem before they completed the work and rejected it so they reworked it with the correct material. Their attitude about having to do this was very bad and in my mind they very fact they they would consider using such visually different material spoke volumes about their attention to detail. b. There were several other onsite issues which we reported to the President and Owner, Kevin Nowak. As a show of good-will Kevin offered to stain the fence once it was seasoned if we would provide the stain. It took several phone calls to make good on this promise but they did stain the fence. Unfortunately, the person doing the staining sprayed the vinyl siding on both sides of my home and on the brand new paver patio walkway. My wife and I discovered this after returning from a Labor day trip and spend the evening frantically scrubbing the house. After complaining again to Mr. Nowak he did send someone to the house for further cleaning. Again, the very fact that the siding was left in that condition speaks volume about attention to detail. c. A short time later one of my gates began falling off its hinges and another was unusable as the post on once side twisted and bowed to one direction and the opposing post twisted and bowed in another. I asked Mr. Nowak to my home to review the problem and he attributed to "kids swinging on the gate." My children at the time were in middle and high school and the gates in question were the least used of my three gates. At this point Mr. Nowak stopped returning my phone calls. d. The job suffered from other quality issues such as: gate hardware installed sloppily, (not level or otherwise mis-alighted), bolts driven in at odd angles, etc. Since the installation I have had to replace nearly all the fence hardware with quality parts, I've had to reattach boards which have fallen out and had to pay another fence company $300 to replace the gate posts described above so that I had a working gate.
Description of Work: Replacement 6' privacy fense, installation of a new irrigation system and mulching
