Stubby's Firewood

WE CALLED THEIR MAIN NUMBER AFTER BURNING OUR FIRST FIRE WITH THEIR WOOD AND WAS TOLD BY HIS SON MAT THAT STUBBY WAS KILLED IN A CAR ACCIDENT. WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED BY THEIR SERVICE AND QUALITY AND ARE VERY SORRY FOR THEIRLOSS.

It was the first time we used Stubby's and couldn't be happier, Thanks guys!! I called, Mat answered and took my order and schedule delivery. They arrived on the scheduled day on time, stacked the wood in the garage very neatly, and sweep up when finished. We had a fire that night and totally enjoyed it; the wood is very dry and clean. We will use them again and refer them to friends and family.

I called on a Thursday, and they delivered our firewood on Saturday. They gave me a prompt call back, and also called on the day of delivery. They were very friendly, stacked the wood nicely and also cleaned up after themselves. You can save a little bit of money with other companies on Angieslist, but the great customer service that Stubby's provides is worth it.

Second season with Stubby's and couldn't me happier. Mat calls back right away to confirm my order as well as set up a time for delivery. There is also a follow up call the day before our agreed upon delivery date. I store the firewood on my deck in the rear of my home where they stack it neatly and sweep up when finished. A bag of FatWood Kindling is thrown in as well. Very prompt and professional, high quality dried firewood; will use again and refer to friends and family.

Great. The wood was delivered as arranged. I was not home, but left a check. When I returned from work, the wood was neatly stacked, probably more than I paid for, in the area we discussed over the phone. The tarps were pulled down over the wood, nice touch. I have done business with these fine gentlemen before, and will again.

We had used them before, had a great experience and this one was fantastic as well. They continue to do a great job.

I spent $185 on that job. They specialize in dried firewood. They were a little higher on cost but they were responsive, on time, very professional and courteous.

I loved working with Stubby's! Mat was very responsive to my calls and was willing to stack all the wood delivered, in a difficult place and through all this snow we have had. The wood burns fantastic! Easy to light and very clean! Thanks so much! We will be calling again soon for more wood! When it is this good of wood and that easy to get it, we have been having fires every day!

On time and professional. Stacked solid one generous face cord with a free bag of kindling. Cleaned up afterwards. They didn't mind that my 3 year old wanted to watch and "help". Wood burns great!

Called Stubby's on Thursday evening to place an order of firewood and they delivered the firewood the following day. A very good variety of large pieces, for long burns, and smaller pieces, to get your fire started. All consistently cut, easy to stack and very well seasoned. The Stubby's crew unloaded and stacked the firewood, then cleaned up the debris afterward. Overall, they are very responsive and professional and have a high quality product.

Service was prompt and professional, from the time I sent the email to the completion of my order. The quality of the wood is great, it was neatly stacked, and Mat was very accommodating regarding delivery time and offered to call ahead so that I could plan ahead to be home for the delivery. I'm very impressed with this company and will definitely use them again and refer others to them.

This is how I wish all businesses operated! I phoned Mat early in the week to place an order. He shared with me he would be in my area on Saturday and would call me Thursday to confirm a time for delivery. Mat called me Thursday evening to confirm an 8:30am delivery for that Saturday. Mat and crew showed up right on time and transported a cord of firewood (a mixed bag of mostly oak, with some birch and ash mixed in) to the rear of my home. Mat stacked it on my deck inside my firewood rack, and swept up after. Will certainly use again.

Matt and Stubby arrived within their time estimate. They were polite and friendly. As they got to work, I noticed Matt and Stubby knocking the loose debris from the wood as they transferred it to the stack, a nice touch. The wood stack was actually over standard dimensions. The ends were boxed, and the rest of the wood was straight stacked without large gaps. Random measurements of about 40 pieces showed all were between 15.5 and 17"; most right around 16". I did not find odd shaped pieces, i.e. stumps and crotches. The wood seemed well seasoned, although I did not attempt to burn any yet. About halfway through, things appeared to be fine, so I paid Matt, and went back inside to let them finish. Matt came to the door after he was finished to let me know he was done. The area where they had been working was cleaner than when they had arrived. Matt and Stubby, in my opinion, are hard-working, fair, honest men. Based on my experience, I would recommend them to anyone, and will buy from them again.

I called Mat on Friday afternoon. He called back hours later and said "I can deliver it tomorrow morning." Wow The wood was delivered and stacked at the minute they said they would show up. Personable and friendly. Just the amount they said it would be. What else could toy want?

I called Matt and he called me back within an hour. We scheduled the delivery the following weekend when I could be home. We agreed on 8am and he arrived at 7:50am. His crew wheel-borrowed the entire stack about 30-yards to my crib. They were in and out in 40-minutes. They were very nice and pleasant, and swept my patio before they left. I intend to acquire at least two more cords before winter and intend to use Stubby's again.

This was our second round of using Stubby's. Neighbor had recommended. They deliver superb, dried, wood, brought it through our garage/basement to stack in our wood room, were punctual and responsive when I set up the delivery.

Mat responded right away, and I had the wood by the next week-end (which was when I could be home). Mat and his father were great, the wood is split into various sizes, which I like because there are pieces for starting and bigger pieces for longer burning. I used it last night and it burns beautifully--the wood is well seasoned. It is clean. They strive to please.

Stubby is taking over from Chris Taylor and was very professional.. When I suggested that the wood was not stacked tight enough, he said they were just really learning and immediately corrected the situation and appeared to appreciate my comments rather than becoming upset... We chatted a bit when they were finished and I think his service will be as good as Chris Taylor's was prerviously. I would recommend his service and would use him again.

The company has changed and the person who answered the phone did not inform me of this. They arrived on schedule and were very polite. The wood looked dirty and scrubby but I said it was OK as long as it burns well. As it turns out the wood does not burn well unless you bring it in the house for almost a week. It has apparently been soaked and then frozen which makes "dried" wood very hard to burn. It is also more dirty than I thought and leaves much dirt behind in the area of the fireplace.

Chris and his Dad arrived right on time and stacked the wood right where we wanted it. They ended up with extra wood, which they offered to sell me. They brought it over to my house and stacked it for me. I have to tell you that this wood is beautiful. I have ordered from Chris many times and ma always pleased.

He is very nice, but the wood is dirty and the price is a little higher. He's very prompt and I have NO complaints about his service. The wood was just not the quality I was looking for and it just seemed too expensive. The wood was a good hard oak.

As always they provided good mixed hardwood that is well seasoned.

These guys were great! I called them on Friday and they delivered on Saturday! They arrived right on time and stacked all of the wood free of charge! On top of it all, they were extremely nice and great to work with. I'll definitely be calling them back up to order more!
