This was not the lowest bid provided but I appreciated Kurt Meyer telling me that he thought two different stains would do the best job of masking old stain, so I went with his bid. I was very pleased with the look of the finished deck when done. The crew was very careful and meticulous, did a much more thorough job than I would have done, including all the vertical surfaces below the level of the deck. My biggest complaint that it took some prompting for me to get answers to my questions, 2-3 times throughout the whole process. I was very pleased with the outcome, though.

My husband said that he could not be more pleased with the work that they did and with the price. He said they did exactly what he wanted and exactly the way he wanted it done. They were prompt and did a great job cleaning up afterwards.

We paid for & got a top job! Would hire Kurt Meyer's team again. Just can't say enough good about all on crew we had.

In the summer of 2007, after getting feedback from several house painters who told me that before they could do any work, I would need a carpenter to repair many window and door frames and replace curled wood shakes on my house, I contacted Kurt and he was able to coordinate the whole job. He works with Dave Monson, an artist and musician by night, and a carpenter by day. Dave started taking siding off my house whenever there were warm days in January and February of 2008. As soon as he was able, he started working on the wood frames, consulting me about things like replacing the garage windows, putting up a gutter on the garage, filling holes in a particular way, etc. Once he was done, Kurt's painting crew came out and completed the paint job in about a week.

They were on time. They were very professional. They were clean and didn't play loud music.

My father was really pleased, he did the whole house with a big crew in 2 days start to finish. It was amazing.

Everything was perfect! The quality of the craftsmanship was excellent. All of his employees were conscientious. They did a wonderful job.

Kurt's team contracted to fix the living room and dining room in our 1911 Craftsman, including solving the problem of having textured ceilings (previous owner-- grr!) and dramatic cracks due to almost a century of settling. I cannot stress how polite and considerate Kurt and his team are, as well as how the work is as delightful as their attitude. I have two big dogs that don't welcome strangers to our house; amazingly, these guys even took time to make the dogs happy. In the three days to handle the whole job, I received at least three phone calls from Kurt to check in and assure my satisfaction with every detail. The crew also painted both rooms, so I'll leave this note in painting as well. FANTASTIC COMPANY! I've already noted to my spouse that I find myself looking for some of the deep cracks that I hated for years, and it's fabulous to realize I can't find any evidence of them; even better to stare at the ceiling and think about how terrific it looks.

Day 1 was the removal of ceiling texture and wallpaper. They put plastic over everything to protect the hardwood floors. Except for one misstep when they allowed soaking wet wallpaper to collect on the surface of a wood cabinet that was not covered, everything went well. Plaster repair began on day 2. Day 3 involves sanding and lots of dust; they hung plastic curtains in the doorways and the mess was contained as well as is possible during this type of work. The painting was complete on Day 4. I left work early so I could get home before they were finished. The paint scheme involved 3 colors & the area behind the frig was painted the wrong color. They immediately offered to stay and repaint it; I appreciated that they stayed late on a Friday to do it so I could clean and put things back over the weekend.

Kurt and his crew were a total delight throughout the project. Kurt was an excellent resource for advising us on paint colors and other questions that we had. He was always responsive, returned calls immediately and was open to any of our ideas on the project. His paint crew was excellent, always on time, extremely conscientious, particular about site cleanup and extremely skilled in the work that they did. They took great precautions with my flowerbeds, were always friendly and helpful, and so enjoyable to have around that we missed them when the project was completed! Kurt easily went beyond the call of duty, offering to include a wooden porch in the power washing as well as buy and install new dormer windows. We very much appreciated Kurt's professional manner, as well as his honesty and his flexibility, both in arranging a payment schedule and in accommodating all of our needs. I have gladly recommended Kurt's company to others with highest recommendations.

I had colors chosen but Kurt had several suggestions for tone depending on the light in the room. With slight changes in the tone of the paint, Kurt managed to get a consistent feel throughout the house, even though the natural light changes substantially from room to room. Kurt has an excellent eye and worked very hard to get the results that I was looking for. I also asked him to patch up and clean holes in window frames and brick work where I had removed old hardware, etc. Kurt was concerned about making the repairs invisible, but he clearly underestimates his talents. I cannot tell where the holes were in most cases. Kurt's painting crew are nice and polite and the house was cleaned up every evening during the job and at the end of the project as well. They spent a lot of attention to detail going back over their work, cleaning up stray paint etc. Everything was completed on schedule. I am very happy with the way this project worked out.

They did a nice job, were punctual, and used a paint that contained primer. I had them look at my bedroom, which is very small, and the price he quoted was very high!

Kurt came out the day after I called him, I already had two colors in mind, he suggested that I reverse the colors using my secondary color as the main one, he also suggested a different color for my kitchen and bathroom (I am extremely happy with the color choices). The work was done the second week in December and it took only three days - Kurt and 2 painters came the first day, 6 painters the second day and 4 the third day. They were very professional - made no mess at all - cleaned up after themselves every day. They moved my furniture, took down my shelving in the laundry room (I didn't have to remove anything from my walls except breakable). They did all the work and put everything back exactly where it was originally. Kurt even called a few days after the painting was finished to find out if I was happy with it or if he needed to come back and touch up anything. I have already given his name to two of my friends who are thinking about having their homes painted.

Carlos, the painter came. Everything went well at first. He completed the much of project on Thursday. He came back on Friday to finish with the paint that I had selected. He started painting and I kept having to check on the work (the work had been 6 hours at this point). I talked with Carlos, because it did not look like a faux finish. He said that the paint I had selected may have been better than Kurt's, and he said that he would not be able to finish on Friday, and would need to come back. I checked on Saturday earlier this time, and had to tell him how to paint the faux finish. The ceiling looked awful. He had to come back Monday (today), and finally finished. The walls look like I did it. The walls are pretty, but not what I wanted. It took 4 days for a bathroom, I had to help - I am disgusted by all of this, and cannot believe that they are highly rated on Angie's List.

Kurt and his crew were fantastic. They really took pride in their work. Kurt was extremely helpful in picking out colors and treatments (some surfaces were painted, others were stained). I had asked for areas of the stucco to be touched up. However, it became evident that touch-ups were not going to look very good. Kurt was not at all pushy, he offered some very generous alternatives. My house looks wonderful. I would strongly recommend using Home Transformations.

Kurt was honest, fair and delivered as promised. He even gave me a discount (unsolicited) to compensate for delays.

The job went well. Owner Kurt Myer met with us at the outset to discuss our needs and presented a detailed proposal which we accepted after receiving bids from several other companies. A crew of two to five painters (the number varied daily) supervised by Eli, a very affable and skilled foreman, worked steadily to complete the job over a period of roughly two weeks this summer. The painters were fast but careful, attentive to detail, neat and cleaned up satisfactorily after work each day. Kurt and Eli were attentive to our schedule and needs, and went out of their way to make sure the work was done to our satisfaction. Through no fault of the company, the completion of the job was delayed a month or two at the end due to circumstances such as weather and the need to allow repair work to "cure" prior to painting, but this was not an issue.

Kurt and his crew were all very professional. He sent me a very complete package along with his job estimate which included guarantee and insurance information. They moved all the furniture, took down pictures, curtain rods, etc and then put everything back when they were done. They took care in protecting everything while they were painting. The work was done on time, Kurt was even ready before I was. Overall it was a very positive experience. I did not get any other estimates for this job because I really felt Home Transformations would do a very good job, so I don't know how the price compared with other companies.

Excellent. Kurt prepared a very thorough and accurate bid - there were no surprises during the process. Further, we had a crew of 2 - 4 painters at our home virtually every day (and often on weekends). The prep work and professionalism were very professional. The crew was very easy to work with and receptive to changes and suggestions. Easily the best experience we have had with an outside contractor.

Good experience overall. Kurt showed up on time to bid and was involved in the job to insure that we were happy. We have extensive landscaping around the house, including a koi pond that goes right up to the back sliding glass door. One of our biggest concerns was to find a company that could do the job without damaging plants, fish, rocks, and other landscaping components. Kurt said they could do this, and they did as promised. They also were able to fit us into their schedule in spring (important, as there is a jungle around the house after June!). There was no damage to the landscape, the job looks very good, and the crew was pretty professional throughout. Kurt quickly took care of the two minor things that were not completed by the crew. I will use them again the next time I need to stain the house.

Kurt showed up on time to give us an estimate for the work in May and we kept the lines of communication open as to when the work would start in August or September. Once the work began the crew did a great job of cleaning up at the end of each day and worked hard. I would definitely hire this company again to paint the outside or inside of our house. It felt like I was talking to a good friend when I talked to Kurt about painting our house or fishing in the BWCA.

It went very well. Calls were answered in a timely manner. I met with Eli and he went over every thing that needed to be done. Showed me samples of stain and what he thought would work well and look good with the house. He was very nice and professional.

Kurt Meyer was the most professional contractor we have dealt with in the 39 years we have lived at this address. He didn't promise us the moon, but if he had he would have delivered. His crew [from one to three] was here for almost three weeks. They were very careful to avoid any damage to our gardens and landscaping. They cleaned up after themselves completely each day so there was no after hours mess for us to deal with. The issues that arose during the project were addressed to our complete satisfaction.
