Kurt was very professional and really put my mind at ease about the quality of the work that I could expect from his team. He did not supervise the process, but he did arrive with the crew to explain the project with them in a detailed way. His crew has been with him for four years and they are really very competent. I am pretty picky so I was happy to see that they were careful about masking and ensuring that the walls were free of imperfections. They also were very good about cleaning up afterward. I have already told Kurt I want him for another project!

Kurt the owner met with me, asked very specific questions about the job, offered his ideas and recommendations and then provided me with a bid within 24 hours. He sent two painters who did excellent work that was very detail oriented. The head painter Craig had an excellent eye for color and made perfect suggestions and was able to match colors with the existing areas that saved both time and money. They were very clean, friendly and also let me know where they were at with the work. Kurt checked on them regularly as the project progressed. The end result was very excellent and we are very happy with the results. We highly recommend HomeTransformations.

The project went very well. Kurt and his crew were a pleasure to work with and I was extremely happy with the result. His crew is very detail oriented, which is necessary with older homes. Kurt is very knowledgeable of old homes and spent some time with me reviewing my home and giving me recommendations on a variety of projects, many of which he does not handle. I never felt like I was getting sold, more like a neighbor stopped by that knew what he was doing and gave me a few ideas. Kurt came out several times after the job for touch-ups and made sure I was completely satisfied before sending me my final invoice, I really appreciated this level of professionalism. I would highly recommend Home Transformations and hope to use them again in the future.

It went very well - the crew showed up several days earlier than planned (though this could be a negative but it worked out just fine), worked 3 very long days, executed on everything I asked them to, and then cleaned up and disappeared.

They did a fantastic job and they did so without additional cost! Very pleased. I will definitely call them for drywall work next time.

My husband found Kurt's information on AngiesList and called him for an exterior paint job. Kurt was short on the phone and threw attitude when my husband talked about the price. Anyway, we thought he would do good work based on the reviews and scheduled an appointment for Friday April 20th. Not only did he not show up for the appointment but didn't care to call that he had to cancel.After an hour elapsed, my husband called him to ask why he was a no show. He replied back saying that his previous appointment ran longer and that's why. I'm a working professional and I understand that appointments runs longer at times but in this day and age you have a cell phone to call a client and tell them that you won't be able to make it. It was highly unprofessional of him and I wouldn't recommend him if you need to get your job done on time.

Kurt actually came out to give me a bid on a building a deck. We decided not to build the deck but because I could tell he was a good guy and had serious attention to detail I decided to have him paint the house. Kurt's team did an amazing job. He followed up with me a few times to make sure everything was perfect. Upon Kurt's inspection of the house after the project was complete, he noticed something on one side of the house due to the paint, not the labor. He called the paint rep and repainted that entire side of the house for free. Mind you, I didn't even notice anything and never would have, but since Kurt is so detail oriented, he noticed. Our house looks BETTER than when it was new. The crew was kind, courteous and efficient. I would hire Kurt do any kind of work in my home. He is not the cheapest, but he is reasonably priced and you get what you pay for. I probably won't have to paint my house again for 10 years.. I can't say enough about the quality job that Kurt and his team performed.

In renovating my bathroom, the wallpaper stripped easily but there was still a lot of gunk left on the walls. Kurt visited and explained that he and his crew would skim it before painting. Painting was scheduled before new cabinets were installed. Originally we thought we had a whole week to do the prep and painting--then we found out the cabinets were being delivered a week early. With about 1 day's notice, Kurt brought his crew out to do the prep work on a Saturday, so the painting could be finished on Monday. When there was some damage to the paint job during cabinet installation, Kurt re-painted at no charge. The paint job looks great, we hardly knew the crew was there, the crew left the workspace spotless. I found it easiest to contact Kurt by e-mail--I always had a message awaiting me first thing the next morning.

We were impressed from the start with Kurt. "Uncommon Courtesy" is his company motto and it was a pleasure dealing with him through every aspect of the project. Our job was a little tricky from the start as we co-own part of our fence with our neighbor. We had the entire fence power-washed but our neighbor wanted to stain his side himself. Kurt was fine with this arrangement and even offered to get us the stain at his discount for him to use. Kurt himself came out to power-wash our fence. He did an excellent and thorough job. His crew followed up with the staining several days later. I consider myself very particular about jobs like this and I have fairly high standards. Kurt's crew did an amazing job. We were thrilled with the care and attention to detail they demonstrated. I even contacted Kurt several months later to ask a stain related question for something I was going to do myself. He was generous with his time and knowledge when he responded.

We were very happy with them. They came out and figured out good colors for the house which was very helpful. They picked out period appropriate colors, and colors that we liked. They used paints that we approved. The people who came out did a wonderful paint job, they were really perfect. There were no little spots anywhere. It probably took them longer because they were painting very carefully and they were using a lot of paint brushes when they painted, way more than you would probably expect. They were probably around for a couple of weeks and they had five guys out here. They painted the house in five different colors. It is great. It is an old fashioned bungalow and we have got all kinds of wood in the house and the way he figured out the colors you can really notice all the different parts that make up the roof and everything with it. It is a neat way he has figured out the colors. Price wise I thought they were very reasonable.

Kurt is extremely pleasant to deal with. Provided a timely estimate, and very carefully explained work to be done, and provided a thorough itemization of costs to be incurred. His crew was outstanding; polite, and very hardworking. Very easy to have around. No disruptions. Beautiful job, thorough cleanup. Carpentry repairs were expertly done at a very reasonable cost. Only negative, and not really a negative, is that Kurt's company is in high demand, particularly for these older, somewhat difficult homes, and when a surprise problem is uncovered at the project before you, (as it often is--100 year old homes have lots of hidden troubles!) your project's start date may get pushed back. Kind of like a wait at the Drs. office--though if you are the problem patient, you're most grateful for the extra time.) But then again, we assured Kurt that we were in no great hurry, and we weren't. He eventually got to our project and he and his crew did a superb job. Would recommend with hesitation, and would absolutely hire again. A true pro!

It was a smooth process from quote to completion. Home Transformations was prompt and professional, and the painters had great attention to detail and prep work. This is the third time I've had my house painted, and this was by far the best experience and result.

They did a very good job and were attentive to my needs. They also had alternative and suggestion that allowed me to stay in my budget. I feel very secure with my choice. They are professional, friendly and clean up after themselves. They are as closed to ideal as you can get in this world. Also, it should be noted that their price wasn't cheap but it was fair.

Although they are not done, they have been totally great with a very quick response and are totally organized. They are really fast and very professional. I will use them again in the future.

From the very first meeting with Kurt Meyer, the owner, to the last conversation at the completion of the project, Kurt and his crew completely lived up to their motto of ?Fine Housepainting - Uncommon Courtesy". Seeing the results of their work, I would add 'unsurpassed quality at a competitive price'. Kurt was a pleasure to work with; a consummate professional who offered creative ideas and was a true partner in addressing every challenge that came up. Dan, the crew chief and his entire team were knowledgeable, skilled, focused and hard working. They were faced with a very challenging paint peeling problem because the previous owners of our home did not prep properly when they painted the house just before selling it. Home Transformations was one of the few painting contractors we spoke with to offer a real solution: Peel Bond. This not only stabilized the existing paint that was not peeling or could not be scraped off ? it gave the whole house a very smooth, professional look even in those areas that had extensive peeling. We were so impressed with their thoroughness of scraping, which took several days, and their attention to detail. From the primer coat, to the peel bond and final coats, to finishing off our cupolas with a faux copper treatment (thank you Marco!), Home Transformations delivered high quality workmanship throughout. Even when we adjusted the trim color mid stream, Kurt and his team were very patient and understanding and worked with us to get it just right. This project truly represented a home transformation for us as we were switching from a very monochromatic low luster color to a much brighter and multi textured approach. We couldn?t be more pleased with the final result. Thank you Kurt, Dan, Marco and the entire crew for doing an excellent job!

Home Transformations did a nice job cleaning up the paint on the front porch and in limited sections in front of our house. The overall result looks great. The contract said that they would strip paint, and I mistakenly assumed that meant that they would strip all paint. Instead they stripped only the loose paint and painted over chunks of old paint, leaving an island effect. This is not noticeable unless closely inspected, but was nonetheless surprising. Apparently unwritten and unspoken was that only the clearly peeling paint would be stripped - not all paint. I would definitely ask Home Transformations to do more work on the house in the future and would be clear what is in and out of scope.

He cleaned all nooks and crannies on my stucco house and left no evidence that he had been here, except the house was clean

Excellent! Kurt and his team were great. Kurt arrived on time for the estimate, got back to us quickly with a quote, and scheduled the work in a timely manner. Everything went very smoothly and we were thrilled with the result. The crew was courteous and respectful and left everything very clean when they were finished. The final result is perfect.

Kurt came a few hours after his crew on the initial day and came back one more time during the work. He never saw the finished work. His crew worked quickly and did a nice job. They painted a ceiling that I had not included in the project. There were some paint drips on hardware, baseboards and carpet. Overall it was a good job. The initial invoice did not include the Angie's big deal that I had already purchased. Kurt deducted the amount of the coupon but not on the hourly basis that was stipulated, so the second invoice was also incorrect.

Kurt from Home Transformations called the next day after I bought an Angies List deal. He provided a very reasonable bid and told me approximately when work would start. I had a large basement and stairwell to be repaired and painted. It took 5 gallons to paint it. It had not been painted for 22 years. There were a lot of wall cracks to repair. In addition to the basement, they fixed a drywall mess in a bathroom, cracks in a living room, cracks in two offices and a sunroom. Carlos was the head of the painting team and he was great - very responsive and professional. They did two coats of paint and fixed all the cracks and painted the large basement , two walls of the living room and one wall of the sunroom. Before painting they fixed all the wall issues. They did it all in one day which was wonderful. We are very happy with the result and work. My husband is hard to please but he was thrilled too. I would definitely hire Home Transformations again.

Kurt arrived promptly with his crew. They immediately got to work, being careful not to track in snow or mud into our home. Kurt followed up with me throughout the day by phone. On the second day, they finished up and left our home in exceptional condition. It was hard to believe that a work crew had been in our home at all. There were several areas that needed touching up, plastering, etc. each repair was completed with great attention to detail. In addition, Kurt's crew was able to cover up the "suede" paint we had in our bedroom, restoring it to smooth walls once again. We are very happy with our results and would do business with Kurt again as well as recommend Home Transformations to our friends and family.

The whole process went very well. Kurt shopped around for the best price in materials, and his crew was very punctual, courteous and professional. When the project ran into problems caused by ice dams, we were given options for the best and least expensive ways to mitigate further issues. We were informed every step of the way of any changes or problems, and we definitely received quality work and materials for a very good price. We will be using him in the spring to paint the fiber cement siding based on our experience and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.

Home Transformations Inc did an incredible job helping us scramble to get a house ready for sale. They squeezed us into a tight autumn schedule; the painters worked 12 hour days for over a solid week painting inside and out, all the while maintaining high levels of professionalism, courtesy, punctuality and tidiness. Not only did they do what they said they would do, they helped us solve some unexpected problems we discovered along the way and carried on, unphased. We wanted to have the project done as soon as possible, because I am pregnant and need to repaint the nursery and the other two bedrooms before it gets too cold to open the windows. Kurt was responsive to my phone calls and managed to arranged the project a week after we first met. The painters arrived on time, were very polite and did a flawless job. Overall, we are very happy with the result, the rooms look so bright and airy with the new paint, and the low VOC product did not leave too much smell.
