I kept calling the guy, he was a little difficult to get a hold of. He was nice but the Big Deal and his service didn’t include everything that I thought it would.

Due to the size of our house we were supposed to pay additional for the service. We had just had our driveway seal coated. The crew parked their truck in my driveway and it leaked oil on our newly sealed drive. He was responsive, came out to look at it and tried to scrub it off himself. He went over the top in fixing the issue and never billed me for the additional costs for pressure washing.

The walls were 46 years old and had seen some wear and tear. After sealing, sanding, priming and painting they looked like new. A very professional job at a fair price!

Overall, my wife and I were delighted with the job that Kurt and Home Transformations did on our house. We have a large house, with over 75 windows. The house was in really bad shape and hadn't been painted in many years (honestly, we had planned to paint it when we bought it 9 years ago!). As a result, the house needed a LOT of scraping. The crew did an amazing job of scraping and prepping the house, and they were extremely careful with the potential for lead contamination. They covered everything in plastic and the workers looked to have the proper gear as well. My dad was a professional painter, and I spent about 5 years working with him as a painter, so I know a lot about what it takes to do a great exterior paint job. These guys absolutely exceeded my expectations. After scrapping the house very carefully, they primed every surface with a complete coat of primer. In my view, this is a great way to ensure that the finish coat adheres properly. The finish coat looks great. Kurt even helped us select the colors. Both Kurt and the crew were extremely friendly and professional. They cleaned up everything each day and just generally did a wonderful job. They often worked really long days! There was some rotted wood that needed replacement, and Kurt was able to arrange for another contractor to do that work right on time and do it well, and at a reasonable (though not really cheap) cost. We received about 5-6 other bids and most of them were more than what we paid Home Transformations, so we feel like we also got good value.

Kurt Meyer, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. He arrived promptly at the time we'd arranged for him to look over the proposed job and was very thorough and helpful in making suggestions as to how the work should be done. His written estimate was thorough, well broken down by task and easy to understand. Once the work began, Kurt's crew did an excellent job of prepping and making repairs to the wood before priming and painting. Their work was neat and efficient and they did a great job of cleaning up after the work was completed. I've had this same work done on my home by at least two other companies in the past, but the preparation, painting and service provided by Home Transformations was by far the most professional and thorough of anyone I've hired. I will definitely use them again and have already received an estimate to do some interior work for me this winter.

They pressure washed the deck. Just once washer came out and he was here for the full 2 hours. It went well and he really cleaned the deck. I definitely noticed a difference.

I decided to get the house painted late in the season, many companies were booked up until next year. I did find 3 companies from Angies list who could try and fit my project in this year. Of the 3 bids, Kurt's (president of Home Transformations Inc.) was the one I chose. I work in the trades and know that you get what you pay for. His contract included the most thorough prep and finishing, along with the best guarantee of 5 years. It wasn't the cheapest, but again, you get what you pay for. Scheduling was the one issue all companies had, since it was late Sept. when I finally got to getting the project done. Kurt told me he promised to get me in this year, it wouldn't be all at once, but when he had crews to spare and the weather cooperated he'd send them my way. It turned out the a large project they had was put on hold so, he sent a crew early Oct. and the bulk of the work was done in less than 2 weeks. The weather then turned against me for a while. But Kurt's guys would come one day here, one day there over the next 4 weeks, as the weather allowed and finally got the entire job done. It looks excellent, and the final bill matches the estimate, he even has a couple of discounts available.

My daughter called me and said there are people at the house to do some work. They came out without an schedule appointment when I was in Colorado. I talked to them on my cell and said you are not schedule and I am out of town. I am always at my home when it's being worked on ( cause something always goes wrong and I am not there to over see and then have no recourse) & would never have my daughter be there alone. Of course something did. I have glass and brown aluminum deck railing and scratched the brown railing down to the metal with the metal power washer in many places and left!

I cannot recommend Kurt and Home Transformations highly enough. Hiring Kurt was probably the best choice we made moving into our new home. The house (built in 1990) was in bad need of a fresh look. Moreover, we just wanted it make it feel like " our space." We found Kurt through Angie's list and couldn't be happier. He did a thorough walk-through of our space, listened to my ideas and, most importantly, offered his consultation and opinion when asked. His consultation ended up saving us from some potentially bad choices and truly helped guide us in putting together an overall "look and feel" of our home. Kurt understood that we were working on a budget and not only found some ways to keep the estimate within our range, but he even came in under-budget upon completion. His crew was extremely courteous and very trustworthy -- we gave copies of our house key to Kurt and they let themselves in/out while we were out of town for the week to finish the job. We were on a very tight timeline and Kurt managed to pull off everything we asked him to do, even though I know it was a strain on him and his resources. Our work included: Master bedroom Mater bathroom Guest room Guest bathroom Child's room Kitchen Living room Family den 4-Season Porch Home Office and all hallways throughout the house This work included painting 3 vaulted ceilings, a stairway, and a skylight. It was not easy work and they did an incredible job. Even months after the project, I still remark about the superior quality of their work. There are some areas in our kitchen with such tight angles I have no idea how they managed to do it, let alone do it perfectly. Kurt and his crew are truly masters of their craft. I observed during the first day of painting and watched as Kurt relayed instructions to his crew. I could tell they were well-run and that Kurt was an experienced leader and teacher. He sent me txt photos of certain areas throughout the process and was phenomenal at communicating with me (often taking late night phone calls or responding to e-mails with last minute color changes). We felt like we returned to a brand new house. It looked amazing. When it comes times to paint the exterior of our house and our deck, I will certainly be calling him again. I am so pleased with the job he and his crew did for us. Truly master painters. I give Kurt and Home Transformations our highest rating.

KURT CAME OUT FOR THE INITIAL ESTIMATE, HE WAS VERY THOROUGH AND PROFESSIONAL. .ANYONE MEETING KURT WOULD PROBABLY DESCRIBE HIM VERY MUCH THE SAME: HIS WORD IS GOOD. I THINK THIS SAYS A LOT ABOUT A PERSON. KURT SPOKE HIGHLY OF HIS CREWS. ONCE I MET THE CREW FOR MY PROJECT, I WAS INSTANTLY IMPRESSED! THE CREW WORKED WELL TOGETHER AND WERE COURTEOUS EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. EVERYTHING WAS NEATLY PUT AWAY AT NIGHT AND EVERY PLANT AND BUSH WERE STILL INTACT! MERRICK DID A GREAT JOB SEEING EVERYTHING WAS TO HIS STANDARDS! BRIAN AND DUSTIN FINISHED UP WITH THE LARGE DECK? BRIAN PAINSTAKINGLY SANDED THE MUCH NEEDED DECKING AND I COULD TELL HE DID THE JOB AS WELL AS IF IT WERE HIS OWN. DUSTIN STAINED THE DECK TO A PERFECT FINISH. Made arrangements with Transformations in February 2013, scheduled for August. They contacted me the last week of August and began work the first week of September. They tarped out from the house to secure the lead based paint, hand scrapped the entire job & then sealed it. Tape & paper covered all areas not requiring paint, sealed the previous paint and exposed wood, painted to perfection. Nice crew, cleaned up each night and it's beautiful.

We simply cannot rave enough about our experience with the team at Home Transformations! Kurt was exceptionally responsive in terms of getting us the final estimate and keeping us up to date on the start date of the project (the rainy and cold spring delayed the start of their work). Upon starting, I was introduced to each member of the crew. Everyone was very friendly and very professional. Craig led the team followed by Andrew, Daniel and Javier. Before work began, they set up their lead paint removal protocol equiptment including plastic sheeting on the inside of the windows as well as along the perimeter of the home to catch the paint chips, warning tape to prevent people from entering the work area and donning protective suits and masks. This was very important to us in selecting a painter as we have young children and did not want us or them to be exposed to the harmful effects of lead poisoning. They spent countless hours/days scraping the old paint from our home, vacuuming up any debris that was not caught by the plastic with a HEPA vacuum, and cleaning up everything at the end of each work day. After the scraping was completed, they began prepping the wood surfaces with a peel bond primer, caulking and taping the areas. They simultaneously began the arduous task of reglazing, repairing and priming our very damaged storm windows. Even working 10-12 hour days, this took about two weeks before they began painting. Once every surface was prepared, they painstakingly sprayed and rolled the paint which Craig assured was for best and lasting coverage. We were so thrilled to see the changes before our eyes and couldn't be happier with our own home transformation! Finally, each member on the crew was fantastic, but Craig was so dedicated and passionate about the work. It was a pleasure to see him each day and get the daily update from him. As a side note, the crew also worked very well with and around Grand Gutters who removed and reinstalled seamless gutters for us as well as Pinnacle Carpentry who replaced the rotted areas of our soffits and installed a new garage entry door. We also discovered a surprise (being that our home was built in 1922, we expected something!) that would require a general contractor. Kurt put us in touch with a very reputable contractor who is going to do the work for us in the coming weeks. We have been recommending Hom Transformations to anyone who will listen to us! The project went well. The painters were very professionals and neat with the work area keeping debris to a minimum. They were done in a timely manner and my house looks great!

We obtained bids from three contractors, but Home Transformations was highly recommended from a neighbor who had them paint his house almost 10 years ago. The paint still looks fabulous. Although this was not the lowest bid we received, it was the most professionally presented. Kurt Meyer, the owner, hires a great crew and values his employees. The crew on our house was courteous, timely and did a great job at cleaning up. A pleasure to work with all around!

We got 3 bids. When Kurt came out (in a blizzard!) to see the house, he spent some time describing the company's adherence to EPA lead standards & philosophy on safety/fair labor. I was impressed, but also assumed his bid would be 20% higher than the others. I was pleased to find it was in line with competitors, because after the first visit, I wanted to hire this company. The bid was detailed in such a way that I could easily alter the job to fit tighter budget constraints if necessary. They did a great job. The crew was friendly, courteous and respectful, and worked to be as low-impact for my neighbors as possible. We were moving out of state, and in spite of significant weather challenges (late snow followed by continuous rain), they managed to schedule and finish our project prior to our move without compromising quality. Moreover, they were easy to work with: communicative, personable, and they just handled everything. They contracted with a carpenter for needed repairs. When repairs were necessary, I felt like the range of options given was broad. I.e., "Option A will cost $X and last longer. Option B will be cost $Y and you'll need to revisit this problem in 3 years. Option C is possible, but I don't recommend it." Recommendations were offered, but I never felt pressure to do the most expensive thing. Though the real test of quality will be the house's condition in 5 years, I believe they did thorough, good work. Excellent scraping, window glazing, and painting. The paint job has a longer guarantee (5Y I think) than most companies offer, which is signal of high quality. It looks great! In general I've found contractors to be poor communicators, and it makes me crazy. This company's focus on keeping the homeowner in the loop was really great for me.

We have used Home Transformations for three major jobs in as many years. They painted the exterior of our house, many interior walls, and most recently enameled our kitchen cabinets. We were unsure of what to do with the cabinet project so we asked Kurt (Kurt Meyer, the owner) for advice. He spent over an hour with us in our home discussing options and we agreed with all his suggestions. He has a decorator's eye for color and detail. Timing was important for us so he juggled his schedule to start early. The job was completed within a week and the result exceeded our expectations. The cabinets are impeccable and the cost was exactly as estimated. We can't imagine better service. Kurt returned calls promptly and dealt with issues right away. His crew was friendly and, except for the new color on the cabinets, we wouldn't have known that they'd been here. These guys deserve an A.

Kurt and his team at Home Transformations were a pleasure to work with. I'm a very detail oriented person, and they exceeded my expectations all the way through the project. Kurt's team was friendly, respectful to our property, they didn't smoke or play loud music and they cleaned up at the end of every day. They completed the project within the time frame originally discussed, even with all the bad weather they were forced to work around. This was a very big project with 6+ colors and a lot of very fine detail. They handled it with ease. Home Transformations is one of the few service companies that I've worked with recently that I can recommend without reservation!

Kurt and his team were very professional during our entire project. They were working around us during non-business hours as we were seeing patients in our dental facility during the day. I did not schedule the project appropriately (my fault not theirs) and they made every effort to work around my mistakes and still complete the project on time. The wall paper removal proved to be much more time consuming than was originally though due to differing and incorrect styles of application. Kurt spent quite a bit more time on this project than he and his team had planned and he was able to do a great job with a tough project. Kurt and his team have worked in our home multiple times and we have recommended his services to a number of friends with equally successful project completions. We will not hesitate to call him again!

They did a fantastic job. I scheduled with Kurt which I must say is a fabulous person do deal with. He was very nice and the job was done in a short amount of time. The job was done in couple of days. The few minor things I wanted retouched were no issue and they came back the next day and made everything perfect. I highly recommend Home Impression if you want a job done well.

They show up when they say they will and do quality work. They are a little on the expensive side but it’s worth the extra money for the quality of service. I know they will get the job done right. They are also very professional.
