We needed skim-coating for most of the ceilings in our 100-year-old house, as well as plaster repair from an ice dam leak. Kurt gave us a detailed line-item estimate for plaster repair and painting each room so we could prioritize the repairs. Kurt and his crew were very professional and friendly, and a pleasure to work with.

Wonderfully! Careful caulking & masking, very professional spray application of primary color and brushing & rolling of trim. Also arranged for some repair carpentry of woodpecker damage. That repair work was completed very quickly & professionaly.

Very well. We gave them some challenges - remove popcorn ceiling, change dark stained cabinets to white. Everything was well done. Ceiling is smooth -not knockdown. Oak grain in cabinets was covered well. Workers protected floors and countertops and cleaned up everyday. Would definitely hire again.q

Throughout the process, Kurt was prompt in responding to my e-mails or calls and he put me on the schedule quickly. The work was completed in two days and the painters did a great job. The transitions from wall paint to ceiling paint are very clean and sharp.

Kurt and his team did an amazing job. We were out of town while the project was going on and loved coming home to a very clean and very beautifully painted house. We had the walls painted on our entire main floor, up and down the stairway halls, and the nursery. We also had our built-in cabinets painted white. Kurt sticks to his up front quote and will not pull any funny business. This is the second time I have hired Kurt and I will be calling him in the future with any other painting needs. Any additional requests were taken care of swiftly and professionally. I highly recommend Home Transformations for any interior or exterior painting.

You can't go wrong with Kurt and Home Transformations. We got 3 bids for having our entire home exterior painted. Kurt's bid was fair, comprehensive and detailed. We hung in with scheduling through summer rains and when our time came, a crew showed up and efficiently, neatly, and professionally completed the job in 2 days. We had our daughter's family and grandchildren here at the time and they even enjoyed watching the process. The crew was respectful and kind to all of us...and to each other. No radios, no mess, lots of double checking. My neighbors were also very impressed.

I have never had such a good experience with a contractor in my life. Kurt is polite, professional, honest and a gem of a person. He actually came twice to give me a bid as I was considering just partial painting vs the whole house. Kurt was honest, not pushy and in talking we decided the best way to go was to paint the whole house. Kurt was so right about that decision. Kurt picked out a paint close to the previous color and it looks amazing. His crew was exceptional. They were actually early getting to start the job. They were quite, didn't even know there were here. They were impeccable from the taping to the painting and did an outstanding job !! Always picked up after themselves !! Kurt answered every email I had with questions right away (which is unheard of these days). I would hire them over and over again... Other contractors could take lessons on honesty and professionalism from this company. The experience I had with Home Transformations was AMAZING !!

The quote process went extremely well, Kurt was very professional and was clearly experienced and gave us confidence in the quality of his companies work. The project was a very large fence (300 linear feet of 6ft tall privacy fence) and we had some concerns about water staining from the previous winter's snow. He set realistic expectations on what they could likely correct and assured us they would be using a high quality stain that would work well for the application. We received a professional and well laid out quote via email a few days after the visit for pressure washing the fence and then spraying on and back brushing a high quality oil based stain. Once we decided to use Home transformations we did have to wait a few weeks (3-4) to get on the schedule but it was fully expected due to the busy summer schedule. Once we got on the schedule the crew showed up on time and got to work quickly. They finished the job over 2 days (1 for pressure washing and 1 for staining with a day in between for drying) I was unfortunately not able to be home while the project was completed but they didn't need me and were able to complete the job without any issues. They ended up completing the job in less time than anticipated and the end results look great. They applied plenty of stain to last several years and the fence looks new again. They also left about a half gallon of remaining stain for me to do touch ups if needed in the future. I will also call out that the amount of stain needed to complete the job was higher than the quote by a few gallons and Kurt honored the original quote price. Overall it was a very good experience, My only criticism was that communication after we sent in the depost was a little delayed, email responses took quite a bit longer than i would have hoped however i received calls back if i left messages within a few days. This was certainly not a deal breaker and totally understandable due to it happening during what i can only assume is the busiest time of the year for them (late July). Overall I would definitely recommend them for any staining or painting project.

Kurt and his crew (Javier and Daniel) did an extremely professional, detailed, and thorough job repainting our classic Arts and Crafts home. Surfaces were scraped down to raw wood where needed, primed well, and meticulously painted. We had some rotted wood in sections and Kurt brought in excellent t carpenters to rebuild this areas before he did his painting. It wasn’t cheap, but you got what you pay for—and a good job saves you money in the long run. ***I also hired Kurt a few years ago to restore and refinish interior classic quartersawn oak windows. They are now gorgeous.

Our experience with Home Transformations (Kurt as well as Vladimir and crew) was supremely professional. They did their best to minimize disruption in our lives and completed the job within 2 days. Before they left, every scrap of tape and floor protection plastic was whisked away. Our walls look great, too! I would highly recommend Home Transformations!

This is my third experience with Kurt and Home Transformations and I couldn't be happier. I was under a tight deadline due to the arrival of house guests, so Kurt sent in a larger than usual team to be sure the painting was done on my schedule. I had also asked for my kitchen to be repainted, so on a rainy day when exterior work wasn't possible, the interior work was done. Kurt works with a carpenter who effected many repairs of rotten wood trim on my home as well as completely rebuilding my rear steps. He was very responsive to suggestions I had for improvements in the design of the new steps vs. the ones he replaced, and the steps came out beautifully. I had planned to stain the new steps along with a new deck, which we constructed ourselves, later in the fall. Imagine my surprise when Kurt came out to inspect the final job and to tell me that as a thank you for my loyalty to his company and for a referral I had made to friends who ultimately used Home Transformations for a large project, he wanted to have his crew stain both the steps and the deck for me at no cost so that my house guests and I could enjoy the use of the deck completely finished! I was totally taken off guard by this generous offer and accepted immediately. And now that onerous task is off my to-do-list! Kurt has had the same crew for many years which speaks well of how he treats and works with them. Many of the crew had been on one, if not both, of my previous projects dating back 4 or 5 years. They are respectful, diligent, prompt, and neat. The quality of the work is very high. My house looks great and my neighbors are all telling me so! I think the world would be a vastly better place if more business owners were like Kurt Meyer in the way he conducts himself, manages his business, and treat his employees. If your DIY days are over, as mine are, give Kurt a call. He will do a great job for you!

Because I again needed to replace a lot of siding, etc., I began THAT process last fall....at the same time I went ahead and booked Home Transformations for painting THIS spring/summer. After a couple weeks delay thanks to the rainy spring/early summer, I received the call that my house was next on the list to be painted. Another outstanding crew consisting of Bladimir (supervisor), Jairo, Danny, Orlando, and Anabel showed up to prep and paint! This experienced Team exhibited the usual Home Transformations understanding of what work needed to be done first (lots of scraping and sanding), what needed to be done second (lots of caulking), and what needed to be done third (lots of masking and covering). Finally time for the “home transformation”: generous oil-based primer rolled onto all the prepped areas, and then a nice even coat of Sherwin Williams Emerald top coat sprayed onto the the entire house! Finished project looked outstanding! One final day of touch-up—in some of the areas that had originally required the most extensive sanding/prep—really made all the exterior blend together perfect. Another extremely positive experience. Home Transformations has happy and friendly crews. They work efficiently, exhibit great teamwork, take great care of your property, show up on time, and (in my experience) can manage to handle any special request (last minute carpentry, recoating areas that need a little “extra” love, etc.). Kurt Meyer has developed Home Transformations into a very successful painting business. There is a reason. Give them a try!

Home Transformations was recommended to us by a friend and I’m glad we took her advice. Our house was built in 1968 with cedar siding covering most of the house with board & batten accents that had previously been stained using oil-based stain that is no longer available. Kurt talked with us about our project, including some repair work due to water and woodpecker damaged boards, inspected the house, explained that we would need to use latex-based stain and outlined all the steps needed to complete the project. About a week later, we received an estimate with a contract that spelled out all the steps needed on our project – pressure-wash, scrape/sand, cover the windows with plastic, prime and stain the house, matching the existing color. We found his estimate to be reasonable, so we signed the contract and sent in a deposit. The contract included only the staining portion of the project: Kurt would arrange for a carpenter to do the repair work and we would pay them separately. We have some forthcoming travel plans and Kurt assured us that the project would be complete before we left. An opening occurred on Kurt’s overall schedule, so we were able to start the project about six weeks prior to when we originally expected. On the first day of our project, Kurt introduced us to Xavier and Jorge who would be doing our project and they went right to work. We found them to be very professional, hard-working, easy to work with, neat, friendly and courteous – couldn’t ask for better workers. They started our project and only worked on our project until it was finished. First thing they did upon arrival every day was to tell us of the work plan for that day and ask if we had any questions or concerns about the plan. They were careful to work around the landscaping immediately around the house and didn’t damage any of it. At the end of the day, they cleaned up and we allowed them to store their equipment in the garage. The repair work was held up a bit due to scheduling difficulties with the carpenters that Kurt uses on projects, but he managed to get one of them just in time. I also had trouble finding the wood needed for the repairs and Kurt referred me to a lumber yard that had the rough sawn cedar with the correct dimensions. Xavier primed it, so the carpenter was able to complete all the repair work just in time to do the final staining. Final cost for the project was just slightly above Kurt’s estimate – the south side of our house gets a lot of sun and needed more labor to scrap/sand off the oil-based stain than what was originally anticipated – so no shocks or surprises. All in all, we are very satisfied with the quality of the work and recommend Home Transformations – especially if Xavier & Jorge are the people assigned to the project.

I would highly recommend this company. They did a great job! They were very professional. There wasn’t a drop of paint anywhere. They were very contious of cleanliness, which I was very grateful for that. There were 3 window sills that had wood rot. They recommend a very good contractor (Pinnacle Contracting Solutions) that replaced them for us for an additional fee of $1,500. Home Transformations may have been a little more expensive than other bids, but I feel we certainly got what we paid for. I’m very pleased with the work that was done.

We had a great experience with Kurt and his team. We had the full exterior of our home painted (stucco, trim, facsia and sofits, plus the screened porch). The team was respectful and punctual and the final product looks great. Very pleased. We would definitely hire again.
