Description of Work: |One day, my garage door refused to open all the way, rising and falling about a foot when I pressed the opener. The workman from Crawford quickly diagnosed the problem as two broken springs and an inoperative bushel. He replaced the two large screens and bushel within 45 minutes and now the garage door opener is working again.

Description of Work: Replaced the rubber gasket on the edge of the door opening. Identified a faulty remote door opener that was causing my door to open and close randomly. By deactivating the remote (removing the battery) the door stopped randomly opening and closing. Yay!!!!!

Description of Work: Needing a new opener on a common type of double garage door that is about 40 years old, we invited 3 companies to quote on supply and installation. Part of our specification was no structural damage to the garage. One company was encouraging on the phone, but two companies' salesmen who visited informed us that the job was more complicated because of the low ceiling, and insisted that the door would have do be replaced, bringing the cost to about $1200. Crawford found a solution, having a simple modification, with a total cost of $425, slightly above the base amount. Their approach, of seeing the problem through the customer's eyes, was far more professional. The result was a smoothly operating controlled door and savings near $800. I mention this because many other persons in the Cities may wish to retrofit openers to old garage doors.
