When I called to get an estimate, Tim was very helpful, and I was able to get an appointment scheduled quickly. Mark, the service provider, was very prompt, efficient and pleasant. He did the work and then showed me how to operate the new mechanism, and he even fixed one of my non-functioning garage door openers. It was all done in less than a hour.

The man on the phone was trying to work with me to find a repair time the following day, but when we ran into trouble with a workable time, he asked if I was available later that afternoon. He ended up scheduling my repair on the same day I called, which was wonderful. Mark M., their repair specialist, arrived within the window of time in which they'd promised. He quickly got to work on my repair and was professional and friendly. He also inspected the door and the opener and lubricated the wheels and the opener chain. My garage door was again working beautifully less than eight hours after I called their company. Great job!

Since we knew it was the spring that need replaced, the owner explained the service, cost & guarantee over the phone, and provided a two hour window that the technician would arrive on a Saturday. Friday at 3pm the cable on one of my garage doors breaks. I headed to Angies list and started calling repair companies only to learn that if I wanted repaired that afternoon it was going to be considered an emergency and I would be dinged an additional $200.00 for the service. I think The Garage Door Guy was my 4th call so I was already braced for the emergency call fee and was shocked when Tim told me he could have someone out in the next couple of hours. An hour later I received a call from Mark confirming he was on his way. Mark showed up diagnosed the problem and very efficiently made the repair. I asked Mark if they installed the PCV weather strips for the doors he confirmed that they did and I asked him to get me an estimate. Mark completed the job in about 30 minutes, he had me inspect the work to ensure it was working to my expectations, he also gave me a price for the PCV weatherstripping around each door and told me he could order the parts and do the installation the following Monday. He was back Monday exactly when he said he would be and preformed the installation and it was excellent

Mark the Inastaller arrived right at the begining of then appointment "window" time that we were given, thus saving us a lot of time in the day. The work was done nealty, Mark was polite and pleasant to work with, and the price was right. Very satisfied!

Called "The Garage Door Guy" for service and the guy who answered the call took down my number and said would call back in 3 min - he just needed to get home and to his computer so he could take down all my info. I got called back right away and was able to schedule an appt for the next day (sat) for 3-5pm. On Sat around 2:30 I got a call confirming my appointment and was told he would be arriving around 3pm. When he arrived he introduced himself as Mark and after looking over my garage door opener he informed me that the gear assembly needed to be replaced and that if I was to go out and buy a new opener I would pay around $300 for it and then would need to have it installed. Mark recommended I just replace the gear and sprocket and that should extended the life of the opener another 10-15yrs. Service was completed within 30min. Mark was professional, friendly and polite.

While repairing the spring on the garage door, technician found that my shaft bearings were frozen. Repaired everything and replaced all the rollers with real quiet ones. Excellent service. The sales person that called me back explained all of the warranties and such very well.

Overall, it went well. It took a while for them to initially call me back after I left VMs on the phone numbers at the AL site. I finally looked them up on line and got a different phone number. The person I talked to was very helpful. The part did need ordering and it was difficult to get a timeline as to when the door would be fixed. The first time that I did use it after it was repaired, it got stuck half way up/down. They did come out and adjusted it the next day and, so far, no further problems. The actual repair man was short tempered but the people on the phone and the initial person I met with were professional.

Excellent! The spring on my single size garage door broke last night so I checked Angie's List and chose The Garage Door Guy then sent them an email. Promptly the following morning I received a call--The quote was $149 and the Angie's List discount took off10%. Jeremy came out at the promised time of noon and he was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. Not only did he replace the broken spring, he lubed the door, tightened the bolts, reduced the vibration on the unit and then lubed the second garage door all at no extra charge. Also, in contrast with others, the installed spring has a lifetime warranty!

I contacted The Garage Door Guys yesterday and was given an estimate of $189 for total labor and parts to replace both torsion springs on my 16 by 7 garage door. Jeremy arrived today as scheduled, competently and quickly performed the desired work, and did some adjustments on various parts of the system. I paid exactly the $189 that was estimated and there was no sales pitch to replace a bunch of other stuff. The springs have a lifetime warranty. I am very pleased by this company and enthusiastically recommend them. They had the lowest price for the job, and the work was first-rate. Jeremy is an excellent representative for the Garage Door Guys!

I called the provider adn left a message. He returned my call promptly and we were readily able to schedule a convenient appointment time for me. The technician arrived right at the scheduled time and completed the work efficiently and to my satisfaction. He was able to advise me on what I could do to maintain the garage door myself. I would use this company again in the future.

This was an excellent experience. I called and someone came out the next morning. When it was determined that we needed more done than we thought, the repair was still completed same day (within an hour) despite needing to go back to the shop for different parts. The price was extremely reasonable and the service was a 10!

Second time we have used The Garage Door Guys. Great experiences both times. We thought we were going to have to replace the garage door opener. Technician was able to repair opener by replacing broken sprocket which was 1/2 the price of a new opener. Additionally, the service tech lubricated the rails at no additional charge. Would use them again & would recommend them to friends/family!

They were incredibly responsive, we called them at 9am on Saturday and they said they could be there between 11am-1pm that day. They arrived promptly at 11am, quickly diagnosed the issue and within 20 minutes had completed the job. Mark (from Garage Door Guys) was extremely professional and easy to work with. I definitely recommend them.

the problem was fixed and the door opener works great. a light on the opener that had not worked for years was also fixed at no additional charge. I would definitely use them again.

All in all I had a good experience. I originally called because my garage door opener was doing odd things, so they came out to do a tune-up. After inspecting the opener (and replicating the issues I was experiencing), the technician said that the electrical panel inside the opener was likely the source of the issue. He suggested replacing the opener and quoted me a price. Upon further conversation, he also pointed out the there were a couple of small cracks in the top panel of the door itself, and that, in general the opening apparatus (i.e., rails, springs, etc.) was old and somewhat makeshift. Thus, he suggested that replacing the door and its components might be wise, as well. I told him that I would think about what I wanted to do, and he didn't charge me anything, saying that this was a free estimate (which I thought was very nice, since I had originally been quoted $85 over the phone for the tune-up). I called back the next day to advise them that I would like to just have the new opener installed at this time, and scheduled that service. However, later that morning they called me back and said that, after consulting with the technician that had been out, they wouldn't install just a new opener without replacing the whole door, because of concerns that the old door simply wouldn't hold up much longer. While this seemed somewhat contradictory to the original recommendation from the technician (i.e., to replace the opener), I ultimately did decide to have both the door and the opener replaced, and they worked with me a bit on the price for that. We scheduled an appointment to have the work done early the following week, the technicians arrived on time and carried out the work in a very professional manner. So far I'm happy with the new door and opener.

They were great. My garage door broke Sunday evening and I left a message on their website and received a call at 7AM. They had someone out here (Mike) by 11:30 AM and fixed everything in about 45 min. I even received a discount for being an AngiesList.com member. Great experience.

The guy showed up on time and finished the job quickly. After the new springs and cables were installed the guy gave the whole door a tune up. He tightened all the nuts and sprayed lubricant on all of the hinges and bearings.

Very professional, showed upon time and worked efficiently.
