knee doctor
 + -1 moreMake sure you have a doctor that believes in physical therapy. If you report anything to Office of Patient Affairs, they get their pay checks from Mayo Clinic. There are many excellent facilities to have knee and hip replacements and I would say, do a lot of research. You are the consumer! From my experience, Mayo Clinic is not focused on their patients or their individual care. It is NOT the place for younger, more active people.
Description of Work: There are better places for women to go and get the care they need in this area. Mayo is considered #2 in Orthopedic Surgery, because they take about 65 percent medicare and there outcomes are measured by other facilities that take less medicare patients or none. If you are from the twin cities, TRIA and Twin Cities Orthopedics are excellent. If you are from out of state, there are excellent facilities around the country. My experience was very negative and I hope who ever reads this, does a lot of research. Mayo Clinic's Orthopedic Surgery Department is better for the very old and for those who do not want a more active lifestyle.

The Mayo Clinic stands out because they treat each and every person with the utmost respect, no matter if you're a celebrity or not. When you go to the Mayo Clinic, you don't need to worry about the doctor you see being good, they are there because they are good.

 + 1 moreTwo of the children's appointments went really well. One child seemed to have a assistant that could have cared less and didn't attempt to work with our three year old to cooperate during the appointment.
Description of Work: Three of my children needed to eye exams. One had failed the school screening.

 + -1 moreWe have been seeing Ann Hoffman at the Mayo Clinic (pediatric area-Mayo 16) for about 4 years. She has been amazing. Ann can use humor to get through some of the toughest treatments. She is able to show our child patience when needed and understanding when necessary. Ann has also done extra training in the area of cerebral palsy so she is able to offer good advice for the long-term. The appointment desk staff is also very kind and helpful.

 + -1 moreWe didn't like what we had heard. They looked at me and told me I could not nurse my baby, they said they wouldn't recommend it. I at least wanted to try. I have been going to Mayo Clinic since I was born and I haven't had any bad experiences till my son was born.
Description of Work: I went to Mayo Clinic for ENT care. My youngest was born with a cleft lip and they help with that.

 + -1 moreWhat is unique about Mayo clinic is that if you have more than one thing going on that needs to be assessed by other specialists, the communication between them is complete. They work together to treat me. I am not referred all over to different clinics who don't talk to one another. They schedule in blocks, so if you have an appointment, you might get in at that time. The reason why is because the doctor spends all the time they need with the patient. I have not met anyone there that is nasty or negative.

 + -1 moreThey told that they agreed with my doctors. It was a little bit fast. I was there for five hours and it was all done. They have a lot of people who come from other places so they try to deal with all the stuff at once so you don't have to stay there too long. It took a while to get an appointment scheduled.
Description of Work: I used Mayo Clinic for getting some tests and a second opinion on something. They looked over a bunch of reports that I brought with me and then they did some testing and asked me about stuff.

 + -1 moreIt has been there for nearly a hundred years. It is one of the two or three best medical centers in the world. The overall experience was excellent. They are punctual and available. The staff is friendly, and the office environment is excellent. I would use this provider again.

 + -1 moreDr. Matthew Rank is the allergist I use at the Mayo Clinic. He is phenomenal. I was in a different allergist care before I moved here and I was taking shots every two weeks. Since I have been here, I don't have to take any shots and hardly any medications.

 + 2 moreI have been going for about twenty years. You can see all the doctors there. They do an excellent job. They get a hands down A. I can find nothing wrong with this hospital. They predicted a year or two for my husband to live, and they kept him alive for eleven years. They have many different doctors there.
