Description of Work: The owner or "founder" of the business as he say's was very unprofessional , threatening and not customer focused at all when the remote would not start the car after it got colder. I went back three times and he would make an adjustment but then when temps dropped it wouldn't start the car again. Very cheaply done and finally insisted it was my car not the remote . Quote "When you go see your mechanic and they tell you it's the car what are you going to do for me" He didn't want to document that I had been there but I insisted he took his time and told me this is hwat happens when you complain you can wait on me. . I had just had it at the mechanic and was told nothing was wrong with my car. I then called Mach 1 and over the phone they knew what it was. A switch should have been installed which they put in and I have not had any problems .Don't waste you time or money got to Mach 1 in Little Canada. I highly doubt he still has a business. I went to his Bloomington location | | | |f they tell you it's the car what are you going to do for me"

Hello and thank you for your review. You state that you had service performed at our Bloomington location on October 14, 2013 however on October 14, 2013 we were not operating out of our Bloomington location anymore and had not been operating out of the Bloomington location for a full year before that date. I'm sorry to hear that you experienced an issue with someone involved with the 12 Volt Heaven company. It is not normal practice to put blame on a clients vehicle but sometimes there is a need to have a mechanic look at things before we can proceed with fixing an issue. Yes we are still in business and since we operated the Bloomington location almost two years ago there have been a lot of changes made to the business to better serve clients including the replacement of several staff members who had the reputation of not providing service after the sale. If 12 Volt Heaven did in fact install your system you still have a warranty and always will. If you experience issues again please know that you can always receive free warranty service in the future. Thank you for taking the time to let us and others know how you feel.

I bought a Living Social voucher for a remote auto starter from 12 Volt Heaven. It took six weeks to even get a call returned (I emailed them also). I brought my car in to them at the scheduled time and requested a phone call to tell me the approximate time I could pick it up later that evening. I never received a phone call. I tried to call them 3 times, but they never answered their phone. I had a friend drive me back at 6:45 that evening because I knew they closed at 8:00. When I arrived, they had not even touched my vehicle yet. The employee who took my keys at noon that day had no reason to offer why this was so. The owner came out visibly drunk, slurring his words, and swore several times at the employee in front of me. I was very uncomfortable. He offered to do it two weeks later, but I decided I did not want them touching my car after what I experienced and witnessed. Living Social gave me a full refund for my voucher.

Hello [member name removed], At the time of your vehicle drop off the owner had put in 33 hours of strait work without going home to try and satisfy the demand of this special promotion. During the demanding 33 hour shift the owner was sick and was taking medicine to try and get through the process. In this industry the employees swear, the owner swears and there is lots of shop talk that wouldn't be acceptable in some work places but we are like family and the language that you may have overheard is not taken negatively by employees because its just a part of shop life. We are sorry that you may have heard a swear word or two and the intention and general rule of thumb is to keep the language down in front of clients. Upon interview with a new employee we literally ask the employee if they have a problem with foul language and make sure to only hire people that have had shop language exposure. I'm sorry that we were unable to satisfy your expectations. I will let you know that we will never again do another Living Social deal or Groupon deal as a result of our inability to keep up with the demand of 1000 half paying clients all wanting an install done at the same time nor did we have the email or phone system capable of handling all of the thousands of communications. I will say on our behalf that out of the 1000 remote start systems that were sold in 5 days most of those who purchased and even more that did not purchase called us before purchasing, after purchasing, left more than 1 message and sent more than 1 email leaving us with the responsibility of communicating with clients more than 20,000 times. Phew that's a lot of emails to respond to and phone calls to be returned. We had specific instructions for people so that we could better serve people as best as possible. anyways we're sorry to let you down.

Description of Work: Had an auto start put in a 2002 Chevy cavalier without auto door locks It was on a deal so it took a long time to get n appointment. But they did a good job.i dropped the car off in the afternoon and then had to pick it up in the evening. They seemed very busy with the promo they were running but did a good job. Answered lots of questions and were pleasant to work with. Thank you

Like most of my experiences with and quot;Grouponand quot; deals the vendor is often overwhelmed with responses and so is the case with 12 Volt Heaven. However, this is a good company with solid employees especially Matt the owner. There were additional charges but they were clear about them up front. Almost everyone is going to need to by a bypass unit for an additional $100 bringing the total cost to $220 not $119. It might be a little deceptive but again, they were upfront about the charges. Scheduling the work was tough and where I give them the lowest grades. Since they seem to be swamped with work it took a couple of weeks to get the work scheduled and they are somewhat unresponsive on the phone. You have to call first thing in the morning or after 6:00 PM to get someone (they are open until 8:00 pm). I dropped off the car in the morning and it was ready as promised later that day. The workmanship was excellent and the starter works great. The work is guaranteed for the life of the car which is great. Bottom line for me is that I would return to have additional work done as necessary and would recommend this company. Just remember, be patient and keep calling or sending emails, they will eventually get back to you. If you need it NOW you might want to go elsewhere.
