They do really good quality work. The price stayed in line with the final estimate. The work took a little longer than I had expected. The workers were friendly and professional. I would use them again for future work if needed. I would also recommend them to others.

The product is what they promised. The service people were very careful and laid down protective cloths on the floor. They also cleaned up after themselves. They did a very good job and gave an excellent Angie's List discount. They were very friendly and courteous.

Their price was competitive with two others. The two installers were knowledgeable and helpful. They installed an extra dam at the end of a roof valley because they felt it was a potential problem not to have it. Showed up on time as scheduled and finished the work quickly. The workmanship looked fine. They had the equipment for the 6" oversized gutters. Many companies could not offer this. We had a major cloud burst (4" in 2 hours) just weeks after the work was completed and we experienced absolutely no overflow. All the water went to the downspouts, which looked like high pressure fire hoses pouring into the drain tile system.

Awful. Original installation damaged existing fascia and failed to perform intended function. Repeated visits to get it correct. Overall organization was disjointed, poor internal communication, apparently high staff turn-over, and lack of professionalism/pride with field personnel.

It was very easy to work with this company. The estimator did a very good job describing the service & setting up the appointment. The installer, Rodney, was wonderful. He was very exacting & careful & full of pride in his workmanship. It turned out great.

Installation quality was excellent, but... They had many issues getting the product delivered to the site. To begin with, they ordered the incorrect product. Once ordered correctly, we had delay after delay. Different stories each time - their final story was: "a truck driver dropped off trailer without notifying anyone - it just sat in truck yard for several weeks." They set expectation that product would be on site within 3 weeks - it took around 12 weeks. I was deeply disappointed that there were this many issues getting the product order and delivered.

Salesman and installers were prompt and courteous. Actual installation of windows was very good. However, we were unhappy with two problems/misunderstandings. First, two windows were hard wired for security. We did not understand that MEI would not do the security hook up. We have had other windows replaced by other companies and that was not an issue for them. Furthermore, after window installation the wiring was not visible, making it difficult for anyone else to hook up. If you have hard wired security on windows being replaced, you should be careful to understand what is being done. Probably should also ask about window warranty if you reconnect on your own. Second, full replacement windows may be the same glass size, but we did not understand that the interior dimensions will probably vary from existing windows. We had thought the blinds for the existing windows would fit. Not the case for us. This may be typical, but was not clear to us.

Hire your own guys if you don't keep your customers happy, you won't stay in business.

Overall experience was fine. We had one question about how the siding looked when first put on. Foreman came out very shortly to check & turned out his explanation was dead right & everything came out just right. It passed inspection with no problems. We love the result. They were very thorough & kept us fully informed - did what they said they would do & when they said they would do it. Give them a try. Both John & Jim were great - helpful & friendly.

Took them 3 weeks to side the house. Mainly use vinyl and weren't used to working with aluminum.

I WAS ESPECIALLY PLEASED WITH THEIR FOLLOW UP. THEY WERE REALLY WILLING TO COME BACK AND TAKE CARE OF LAST MINUTE DETAILS AND FOLLOW UP ON THE WORK THEY DID.

They do good work and are not pushy. They are a family-owned company. They did very nice work on the siding, soffits and fascia. They were very neat and cleaned up well. They also had a reasonable price.

We love MEI and the sales rep, Wayne. From beginning to end, the crew and project manager communicated well and did a great job. Originally we contracted for a bay window and siding, and during tear off we were told the window frames were in bad shape and we should replace the windows. They gave us a great price. Wayne was patient as we chose colors and even drove with my husband to another house in the neighborhood to match color. We were so pleased with MEI that we contracted with them for a roof on another home we own and they did a great job on that too. We would recommend MEI to everyone.

The person who gave us the bid was very professional and treated us with respect. The 2 gentlemen who installed the windows were prompt, did a great job and very thorough! They cleaned up beautifully when done! They laid down drop clothes everything in our house, and extremely respectful of our property!

We are thrilled with our siding! The project went very well. Our contact at MEI, Jim Pape, was great to work with. There was a start delay of only one week because we requested their best Hardie installers knowing and sharing with them that we have high expectations and wanted it to be perfect. Of course, they have many great crews, but there was one in particular that they knew would be a good fit for us. The two-man, sub-contracted crew, lead by Paul Bodnar of Precision Exteriors, worked weekdays from 8-5 for seven days. The shingles on the gables and the trim around our bay window went slower than the rest. We really expected we would have an issue or two as projects usually do, but we did not. Paul did an excellent job on our siding and never disappointed, only amazed us. Excellent knowledge of the product and great attention to detail. Very precise! Also worth mentioning, we did have MEI replace a small piece of soffit. The MEI rep. did a super job on that project.

They are excellent and very responsive. I would not have anyone else do my siding or windows. They are top of the line.

I called for information and an estimate. Wayne showed up when scheduled and had all the info. we wanted and gave us quotes on various products. After we researched products and made a decision, Wayne came by with a formal proposal. We decided on a relatively new product, LP Smartside. It had the look of real wood and is treated to resist insect, fungal decay, and moisture. Plus unlike vinyl siding, it can be painted, and it is a more solid product. The work started on time and was completed in a timely manner. The workers were prompt and professional, and we were pleased with their work. When a problem arose, MEI dealt with it immediately by calling a product representative. MEI was there to answer questions and handle details from start to finish. We love how the house looks and have had many compliments.

This was a great experience. When I started looking, I had no idea about these areas. I narrowed the field to those that could do both the siding and windows. MEI was clearly the best. The Sales team was experienced, knowledgeable, not pushy, and responsive to many questions. The pre-installation planning was effortless. The install went perfectly with the siding and windows teams working together as needed. You cannot go wrong with MEI!

Minnesota Exteriors came recommended by a friend. They were pleasant to work with and responsive to our calls. Their estimate seemed very reasonable to me. The gutters were installed in a reasonable amount of time. Our only disappointment so far has been the leaf protection screens. We have a silver maple in our front yards, and the "helicopter" seeds fit partially through the mesh so they "stand up". The gutters do not clog, but it looks like they need a haircut in the spring and summer! After a couple of months they seemed to disintegrate and are no longer visible. We have been playing phone tag with the salesperson to discuss this but have not had much proactive response, but to be fair we have not tried hard either. We likely would not have purchased the leaf protection if we knew it would work this way. I may update this entry at some later point when that is resolved.

They were the only exterior company that would give us an estimate with dollar figures. All other companies told us there was no need to get an estimate since our ins co was involved. Our insurance company only paid for a portion of the damage so we did need to know the total dollars we would be paying. MN Exteriors did a great job! They were very professional and we liked the products they had to offer. We purchased their foam backed vinyl siding and are happy with it. The work was done in a timely manner too. We were also able to use a $500 coupon through Angie's List, which made the experience even better!

MN Exterior was chosen from 5 companies from, which I received quotes. The deciding factor was the lifetime warranty on the installation, as well as the product. The price was the highest, but Jack H. was comfrotable to talk to, knew his business and was polite. He accomodated a coupon from Angie's list readily that brought the price down about 10%, well within range of other bids. The installation was painless, Joe and Tim were on time, worked well together and were very friendly. One of them, without asking, assisted me by removing a stripped screw from a shutter mount. Very Nice!! THANK YOU! The work was professional and looks very good. The inside and outside of my home were kept clean and left clean. There was one problem with rain coming in the patio door track and I called for service. Service arrived on time on the date expected, explained the small problem and fixed it in no time. I am pleased so far with the service, the windows and the people. Thank you.
