Porcelite Bathtub Refinishing

The Porcelite team met my every expectation or exceeded them. They were very patient with all my varied questions and made sure to provide me with detailed answers as quickly as possible. I was really surprised when they were able to make an appointment for 2 weeks out as I was expecting a longer wait. The end results are awesome! The manner in which the work was done was extremely professional and friendly with VERY minimal intrusion. I would definitely recommend Porcelite to anyone wanting to get their bathtub refinished. No longer am I looking at a chipped and partially pink/stained tub. Now it's white and beautiful! - it looks brand new and a fraction of the cost!

Technician showed up on time and completed the job in about 4 hours. Tub looks very good.

The guy came right on time in the morning, and when I asked him how long he thought it would take, he was right on with his estimated time of completion, it took a little longer because he spent more time trying to get the old blue color off, but the finished product looked great. I would recommend the Porcelite Company to anyone.

They refinished a bathtub and replaced bathtub fixtures at my home. I found this company on Angie's List and decided to use them based on the recommendations. I am happy with the service they provided.

The company's response was excellent and we scheduled the tub refinish within a week. Andy showed up on time and carefully set up a window fan and covered anything that might get dusty. In four hours he was done and he had filled many areas of our 70 year old tub that was badly etched to the metal. He put the finish on as well as a non-slip surface that is very smooth and cleaned up the work area beautifully. He also caulked the entire tub and my new toilet. The tub sparkles. I love it.

It was a very good experience. They got back to me right away after I called. I was able to set up with an appointment with them within a week or two. They had to strip the bathtub and refinish it. They did a great job. They were very efficient. They did the work in one day, and they left the workspace clean. They were pleasant to work with.

I was very happy with everything about our experience with Porcelite. I chose them because of all the positive reviews I read. The phone representative was helpful and professional. I had some questions because our tub had a corroded metal strip on the exterior and I was wondering what if anything could be done about it. I emailed her some pictures and she got back to me right away with several suggestions and price options. We decided to wait and make a decision after the technician got here to see it in person. Andy was great - friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He completed the work, including patching and filling the gap where the metal strip had been, in about 4 hours. He brought a negative air machine and vented the fumes out the window in the next bedroom, and was very careful to keep the mess to a minimum. He explained everything and answered all our questions about how to take care of the new tub surface.The fumes and odor were similar to spray paint and lasted only overnight (we left the fan/vent running all night because there is no window in the bathroom). The bathtub really looks beautiful, and so far seems to be holding up great. There are four of us using the tub/shower, so it get a lot of use. I would definitely recommend Porcelite to anyone wanting to refinish their tub.

I refinished the bath tub the first time, but the finish did not last very long and looked horrible. Andy came in and stripped that finish off and then refinished it beautifully with porcelite. It looks brand new. I wish I would have had them do it before I made the first attempt!

I called or emailed Porcelite and received a call back immediately. They gave a fair and accurate estimate over the phone and I scheduled my bathtub refinishing appointment a couple weeks out, on the spot. The installer showed up right on time, explained the process to me and got to work. He even helped me choose the best shade of white (there are 3 whites to choose from). My old stained tub looks brand new. It is now 4 days after installation and I am very pleased with the quality of work. They even followed up via mail. I wish all contractors were this professional from start, to the job, to the finish. I emailed a photo of the finished product to a friend. Now she's going to call them to refinish her tub. I highly recommend Porcelite.

The refinishing work made the entire bathroom seem brand new! Andy was wonderful--punctual, quick, and thorough.Over the course of the past year we dropped some items in the shower that caused a couple of chips. We called Andy, understanding that the repair wasn't covered under the warranty, but he came out and quickly did all the needed repairs. We really enjoyed working with him and recommend him to anyone with an older tub that needs updating.

Andy repaired the crack within an hour and even put some construction foam underneath the pan for extra support. He was polite, punctual, and professional. I would highly recommend him for this type of repair.

Andy, the installer who did the work on our previous home did the work in our new home too. Andy answers questions very thoroughly and he does outstanding work - very meticulous. You get the sense that he's treating the work like it's his own home and you can't ask for more than that. With work being done afterwards by other contractors, we needed to ask him to come back out for "touch up" work because there were scratches made by a couple other contractors. Andy returned without hesitation and did the work. We have told several people about Porcelite and when we're asked how we got the walls to look so nice, we say Porcelite. I had a little rust around the drain in my 50 plus year old Kohler sea foam colored tub. I emailed the company and within a couple hours had an appointment for less than two weeks out. On the day of the appointment they called to say that they had run into a problem on the AM project and would call when they were on the way. Traffic on 394 conspired to make them later than they had hoped. The eventually made it and took their time to do an amazing job. (no rushing to finish the day). The tub looks fantastic and I could not be happier with all aspects of the job. This is a first rate company. A month later the tub still looks great. Get their Italian non-suction cup bath mat. Fantastic.

It went great. John was wonderful to work with. He called, did exactly what he said he was going to do and worked quickly. He told me what he was doing. So far, the tub looks great, but it's only been 2 months. Time will tell if it lasts.

Because I have had prior experience with this company, I contacted Dan to arrange a date for refinishing an old clawfoot tub. Andy contacted me the day before to confirm our appointment. He arrived on time, hauled in his equipment and started to work. The painted surfaces were easily removed by him and he resurfaced the interior of the tub. It looks absolutely fantastic now! The work was completed within a couple of hours and there was absolutely no mess left behind. Porcelite does excellent work quickly and efficiently. After many years of trying to clean our Americast tub and never achieving success after following manufacturers recommendations, I got estimates for resurfacing it. Dan at Porcelite provided the most detailed information about what they would do, what the process included and what it did not include, how long it would take, and how long their refinishing work would last if their cleaning instructions were followed. Andy arrived on time, went through with me what he was going to do and options to decide upon before work began. He explained the guarantee, the minimum cure time, and care instructions. He completed the work in a timely manner and cleaned up the work area when done. My family and I have been using the tub regularly since the cure time expired and we are very pleased with everything about the Porcelite refinishing.

I liked Dan's professionalism when he came to give me the quote. I chose Porcelite after researching them and others (from the customer comments) on Angie's list. Andy was very prompt and considerate. He knew his business and was very accommodating to our specific needs. When he was finished, I was amazed at the beautiful results! The whole job was finished in about 6 hours and both Dan and Andy responded quickly when I had a follow-up question. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

Scheduling was easy and flexible, and there was no pressure when I called for information. Andy arrived promptly on time, and installed a fan in the window, to minimize odor spreading to the rest of the house. I was interested in adding some skid resistance to the bottom of the tub for safety, but since I take a lot of baths I was concerned about how it would feel. He advised me on my options, and we ended up graduating the texture so that there is more where I stand, and less where I lie. I don't even notice it when I take a bath! Since we are novice "do-it-yourselfers", he also had a few tips for the rest of the tub area which were very helpful! The whole process only took a few hours in the morning, and the tub looks brand new. The process was seamless and trouble-free from beginning to end. Update: Altho I was initially pleased with the work, it has not worn well after the fact. Chips in the finish started appearing 2 months after the job. When I called then, I was told they did not guarantee that, but we could order a kit and fix it ourselves. We have no kids, and followed all their recommendations about having no hard objects in the tub, swabbing the tub after each use, etc. so I don't know what else we could have done. I felt it should not have started chipping after only 2 months. Now less than 2 years later, the finish is wearing off and turning brown, and it will need to be re-done again soon. However, I think this time I will turn to a different company to do the job.

We found this company in Angie's magazine in the Pages of Happiness. I call and Dan gave me a quote for the refinishing, grout repair and also putting in a new tub faucet for me. Andy arrived on time and explained what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. Both Dan and Andy were very professional. Everything was cleaned up when Andy left. It looks like a brand new tub. They did a great job.

Called Andy on Wednesday to see if he had an opening on Friday. He returned my call and said that he did have an opening. Arrived at 8:00 and and refinished my bathtub. Worked hard, refinished the tub to a glossy porcelain white finish and caulked around the tub. Really looks good! Definitely worthwhile!
