Description of Work: Came to give bid on either repairing or replacing stone steps and walkway. |Al was on time,professional, friendly and very detailed. He was honest and gave his best option of what should be done even if that meant not getting the job.

Description of Work: Installed a rock wall on the side of my house using huge boulders. It looks great!

Description of Work: Removal of old, rotted out railroad tie retaining wall and replacement with new landscape boulder retaining wall. Entire job went smooth from start to finish. They cleaned area up well after they were done. Happy with end result, and yes I would use them again. Felt their pricing was quite fair considering what all was involved.

Description of Work: He came as scheduled and told me what needed to be done, which was to dig up the area, put down landscaping screen and reseed with a specific grass. When I asked about the $250 credit that was also offered with this I was told that was on a $2500 minimum order, which was not specified in the offer. Basically, I paid for what they advertise on their website, as a free estimate but he did not give me an estimate. |He was very polite and punctual.

Description of Work: When I sent them a note to schedule the service purchased , I received a reply that they did not do landscape plans and suggested I contact you for a refund.

Description of Work: I had a patio and two walkways put in. It was the smoothest home project I have had completed. They were punctual, detailed, and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this team and would give them an A+ rating if I could.

Description of Work: Al came to give an estimate for patio steps, cutting down a tree, and landscaping. He gave me lots of good advice that meant that he would not be hired for the job. For example, I was asking about paver steps but he told me that they were not practical given the size of the patio and the fact that he could not exactly match the pavers on the patio already. He recommended wooden stairs similar to what I currently have. He subcontracts for tree cuting and they don't come this far north. As for landscaping, he recommended that I keep several of the shrubs I was thinking of removing and made recommendations for replacements that I could plant myself. He also suggested that I spend money on having the large trees pruned (which he does not do). I felt as if he gave me his best advice, even if he meant I did not hire him. I will calll him again when I have another landscaping job.

Description of Work: Received an estimate from Goodfellows. They were friendly, on time, and gave a good price. Ultimately did not use them as we went with another contractor who we had worked with previously on other things, that gave almost an identical quote.

Description of Work: We had a huge undeveloped area that was on a huge hill. They regraded the hill and put up two retaining walls to make a nice play area. They also made a paver patio to for a seating area and portable fire pit. They put sod down in our flat new play area and put sod down on part of the front of the yard.
