I was fortunate to find a good company on the first try - that's why I signed up for Angie's List. I used the referral report to find a handyman service and as they say: ''you get what you pay for,'' and I say, ''hire someone that knows what they're doing and let them do the job.'' The experience and workmanship was second to none. John came out and gave me the estimate, and the final cost was right on. We talked through what I wanted in the bathroom, and since he's been in the remodeling business for so many years, he fully understood what I wanted. I relied on his expertise in choosing my bathroom and kitchen fixtures and he knows what to look for. He also did all the work and called me with any questions or suggestions and followed up with me each day as to what was done. The clean up afterwards each day made it as though he were never there. I have no reservations in calling them to do any of my future home repairs and updates. I'm so pleased with my ''new'' bathroom - THANKS.

He was on-time, knew what he was doing, and worked quickly and efficiently. He really knew his stuff and was great. I would HIGHLY recommend working with this company.

I will try to be as concise as possible and hit on some of the main issues I had with this company. Suffice it to say I was not pleased with the experience. From the very first contact it was very difficult to get a call back ... Then phone tag throughout the entire process. But the main problem was what I would term misrepresentation re: bids, timeframes and services to be rendered ... Very concerning! Also all of the issues/problems with sub-contractors were pushed on me as opposed to being handled by the company project manager ... Lots of blaming (he said / she said) - not professional! I was extremely impressed with the owner Mark who I had to finally contact to attempt to obtain resolution concerning the issues. He was very professional and attempted to resolve. If he would not have handled the issues to the level he did I more than likely would have had to seek legal action. But the issue as to the finished work product was/is still an issue ... Poor workmanship!

They were very professional, competent and friendly. They did an excellent job.

MARK WAS A GREAT COMMUNICATOR AND COVERED ALL THE BASES WITH A PHONE CALL AND FOLLOW UP E-MAIL TO CONFIRM DETAILS OF WORK. THE PRICE WAS MORE THAN HE ORIGINALLY ESTIMATED BUT SO WAS THE AMOUNT OF WORK. IT WAS THE COLDEST DAYS IN DECEMBER AND WORTH EVERY PENNY TO HAVE THEM ON THE JOB. WE MAYBE PAID $130 MORE THAN ESTIMATED, BUT I DIDN'T PLAN ON HIS FORWARD THINKING IN DONATING THE APPLIANCES. TAX DEDUCTION! SMART! THANK YOU! I'D CALL AGAIN!

Overall experience was very good. We were able to schedule the work (which had to be done in conjunction with flooring work we were having done) with little advance notice. Although James was never very punctual, he came after his normal working hours which saved us from taking time off work and we really appreciated it. He did a very good job on the removal and the install of the vanities. Would use them again.

On time, very pleasant person to have around, and worked fast. I will call them again.

They were on time, very professional, kept in contact with me, and did excellent work. I will definitely use them again. It was so easy to work with them, and they really cared about what they were doing.

MARK, THE OWNER OF METRO HOME MAINTENANCE, RETURNED MY CALL THE FOLLOWING DAY. HE CAME OUT 5 DAYS LATER. HE WAS PROMPT, DID WHAT HE SAID HE WOULD DO, AND CHARGED THE HOURLY RATE HE SAID HE WOULD. THE INSTALLATION WAS EXPENSIVE, BUT ONLY BECAUSE OF THE TIME REQUIRED TO WORK AROUND AN EXISTING BUILDING CODE VIOLATION AND A POORLY DONE ORIGINAL HEAT DUCT INSTALLATION. THE RESULT WAS A CLEAN, NEAT, SUMP DISCHARGE INSTALLATION. I WOULD USE MARK AGAIN AND CAN RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS SIMILAR WORK ACCOMPLISHED.

I WANTED TO REPLACE PLATES AND DOOR KNOBS BUT I DIDN'T HAVE THE EQUIPMENT FOR THAT AND THE TECHNICIAN GAVE ME ADVICE ON WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN SHOPPING FOR THESE ITEMS. SHE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, POLITE, AND INFORMATIVE. SHE WAS VERY NEAT AND CLEAN. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH HER WORK.

THEY WERE AVAILABLE QUICKLY. GOOD ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND KEPT ME INFORMED ALONG THE WAY.

PAT ARRIVED ON TIME; CHECKED OUT THE KITCHEN AND MEASURED THE COUNTERTOPS. HE HAD THE LAMINATE COLOR TILES FOR ME TO CHOOSE FROM.HE WAS VERY PATIENT WITH ME. HE GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE AND FOLLOWED UP ON THE PHONE. I HOPE TO BE ABLE TO USE HIM FOR THE WORK.

MARK CADY AND HIS CREW ARE PERFECTIONISTS AND THAT'S THE KIND OF PEOPLE I LIKE CUZ I'M ONE TOO. THEY'RE REALLY GOOD.

QUALITY OF WORK WAS GOOD AND WAS DONE ON A TIMELY BASIS. WE HAD TO RESCHEDULE DUE TO WEATHER, BUT THEY STILL GOT THE WORK DONE IN THE SAME WEEK.

CALLED TO LET ME KNOW HE WOULD BE LATE. AFTER FINISHING THE JOB I CALLED FOR HE ASKED FOR MORE WORK TO DO SO I WOULD GET AN HOURS WORTH OF WORK FOR THE SERVICE CALL I HAD TO PAY FOR. WHEN I DISCOVERED THE LEAK IN THE EARLY AFTERNOON, I WAS TOLD BY THE PERSON WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE THAT MARK MIGHT BE OVER THAT DAY. HE CAME LATER THAT AFTERNOON. THEY WERE ONLY ABLE TO MAKE A TEMPORARY REPAIR TO THE DISHWASHER AND WHEN OTHER COMPANIES ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM, THEY ALSO WERE ONLY ABLE TO MAKE A TEMPORARY REPAIR TO THE DISHWASHER.

AS ALWAYS, HIGH QUALITY WORK, FRIENDLY SERVICE. I USE METRO HOME EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS AND AM NEVER DISAPPOINTED. THERE'S ALMOST NOTHING MARK AND HIS PEOPLE CAN'T DO.

RESPONDED QUICKLY TO REQUEST AND DON DID AN EXCELLENT JOB.

THROUGHOUT THIS EXPERIENCE, I WAS CONTACTED WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER LEAVING A MESSAGE. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION, AFTER GIVING THE NEEDED INFORMATION THAT THE EMPLOYEE DID NOT GET, THAT DOORS WOULD BE ORDERED. I WAS NOT OFFERED AN EXPLANATION OR APOLOGY AFTER LEARNING THAT THE STORM DOORS WERE NEVER ORDERED. NOBODY CALLED ME TO LET ME KNOW THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE NEEDED INFO. NO WORK WAS ACTUALLY DONE.

HE ALWAYS ENCOURAGED ME TO SPEAK UP IF THERE WAS SOMETHING I DIDN'T LIKE OR WASN'T HAPPY WITH. VERY CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED.

HE DID A GREAT JOB, WAS SPEEDY, AND OFFERED TO LET ME "ASSIST" IN SOME CLEAN-UP TYPE WORK (WHICH I DID, AND LOVED) TO SAVE US SOME MONEY ON HIS HOURLY FEE. IF I HAD NOT HELPED, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ANOTHER 2 HOURS OF WORK. HE WAS HELPFUL, AND DID NOT TRY TO "OVERSELL" OR "OVERWORK" WHAT HE DID FOR US. HE WAS RESPECTFUL OF OUR PET, AND TRIED NOT TO LET TOO MUCH DUST AND DIRT INVADE THE WHOLE HOUSE. HE WAS FRIENDLY, FUN AND I ENJOYED HAVING HIM AT OUR HOUSE, AND WORKING WITH HIM. WE WILL USE HIM AGAIN, FOR ANY NUMBER OF PROJECTS. I DON'T KNOW WHAT OTHERS CHARGE, BUT HIS RATE SEEMS REASONABLE AND THE REFERENCES FROM FRIENDS (NOT JUST ANGIE'S LIST) WERE WORTH WHAT WE PAID!

I THINK THEY ARE FABULOUS. DON IS THE ONE THAT COMES OUT. HE IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT!

I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR WORK AT MY HOME & AT MY DAUGHTERS. THEY ARE GREAT!

ANOTHER GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY.

THE WEATHER WAS GETTING TO BE A FACTOR FOR US REGARDING PAINTING THE NEW CEDAR, AND MARK WAS GOOD ABOUT WORKING US INTO HIS SCHEDULE WHEN HE COULD.
