I had a very good experience with metro home maintenance. The service from both those answering the the phone and those who came to do the work was very helpful and responsive, and quick to address and questions or concerns I had. I will definitely use them again.

Outstanding service. The phone service was excellent. Knowledgeable and helpful phone staff. When the work was done, I expressed concern that it had taken considerably longer than estimated. I called to ask about it and was told they would look into it. The next day, I got a call from the manager asking what I thought was reasonable. He knocked a full two hours off the bill.

Easy to schedule the appointment. Technician was on time, polite, and finished the job quickly. He left the work area clean, and reported what he had done. I am very pleased with the service.

Chris and Dave were consummate professionals. They arrived on time and worked diligently for 7-1/2 hours. Both performed high quality work in an organized way -- beginning with the upstairs and ending with the basement. Chris and Dave were polite, friendly, and patient. They purchased the necessary hardware, which saved me time from doing this task. I would highly recommend Metro Home Maintenance, and Chris and Dave, to everyone. I rate the company A++! You can't get any better than perfection.

Excellent experience with this company, though I have no basis for compairson on the price. The work was done over two days. The gentleman who came to our house was apologetic that his repairs over the damage didn't quite match the rest of the living room celing, but in reality, the match is unbelievable! Our cleaning lady commented as soon as she walked in that she couldn't even tell. I felt the work was well and professionally done and will be hiring these people again for odd jobs. They seem to do everything. Oh--and garage door keypad works fine now too.

Very positive experience; heartily recommend business. Receptionist was friendly and forewarned that toilet problems, as described, might be better with a total replacement. Was able to get appointment within 2.5 weeks of calling. Handyman (John W) showed up on time and made. With Angie's List coupon, cost was only $91.

All the staff has been courteous, responsive, and very customer oriented. Mark stuck real close to his original estimate, even though the final work effort was considerably larger than the bid included.

They were friendly. They came when they said they would come. They guy that did it clearly knew what he was doing.

The two workers that came to my house to do the work were really friendly and respectful. They were in my house on three days to complete this work. They were very accommodating to my schedule and price that I wanted to pay. They initially quoted $2900 - I stated that the insurance companies estimated the work to be 2600 and they dropped the price to match.

Our initial contact with the company was very favorable. They responded promptly and John W. came to our home for an appointment in less than a week. We were told that, due to their current work volume, we wouldn't receive a formal estimate for 3-4 weeks. However, it has been two months since our initial appointment, and we still have received neither an estimate nor any indication of when to expect one.

Dino arrived early, but called us and patiently waited for us as we drove back to the house. He completed work efficiently and since they charge for a minimum of one hour's worth of work, offered to work on something else since he finished before an hour was through. He showed us how to repair the problem should it happen again. Overall, a great experience, if slightly pricey. We'd definitely hire them again.

The work was done well. Mark was most polite and pleasant. I was not home when the work was performed, but the work was done well, and he followed up with phone calls to me as I had requested. I will use them for future work.

I called Metro Home Maintenance in the beginning of May to set up a time for an estimate. Due to their schedule, a June 6th date was set for them to come and look at the project and give a bid. As of today, July 12th I am still waiting for the estimate.

In general, Mark has a good service and good people working for him.

Deano completed all work in 13 hours which was much quicker than expected. His work is not only precise but also beautiful. He completed some finish work on the post of the stair rail that made a dramatic improvement to the entry area. Very professional and great to work with. I'm already planning to work with Metro and Deano again.

The visit was scheduled for almost two weeks later, and then called and resceduled for later than that. When he finally came out he seemed very knowledgable and competent. After a little over a week we still hadn't gotten the bid. I called twice to find out. Finally I got a call and was informed that there was an email problem and the work would be about $350. That seemed low for the large amount of work that we wanted done, so I wondered if what work it did include. I never got any written bid, and they never contacted me again. I guess they don't want/can't handle our business.

After a few scheduling snaffoos, which were acknowledged and apologized for (from the office staff), the employee finally made it. He was very friendly, willing to work late, professional and efficient. I will definitely hire him again.

Dino is exceptional. He was very neat and highly competent.

The owner came out to do estimate over three weeks ago. As of this date, no estimate received. First follow-up phone call never returned. Second said estimate would arrive a week later, and still none.

Everyone at Metro Home Maintenance was wonderful to deal with. They returned my calls/email promptly and confirmed appointments ahead of time. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the work, but would likely hire the company again (knowing I should more carefully inspect the "finished" work before they depart). For example, a couple pieces were not installed according to the manufacturer's instructions, and minor shortcuts seemed to be taken (i.e., brackets requiring four installation screws were put up with only two each, resulting in noticeably unstable installation). All in all, a good (not great) experience.

Lane, the handyman, was very polite & kept the workplace clean. However, I felt he was a slow worker. The arrangement was that I would have the new door & the new screening onsite so that I would not be charged for the time involved in having someone from Metro Home Maintenance go to Home Depot. However, Lane's truck was poorly stocked so he had to go to Home Depot anyway to get screws & razor blades! That seems unfair & unprofessional on the company's part. Also, he was 10 minutes late (not a big deal since he called me) but I still got charged as though he were there on time. Also, when the job was finished the hourly rate timer should have stopped- but I was charged for the 30 minutes that it took him to fill out the bill! Adding the late arrival, the trip to Home Depot, & the time to fill out the bill meant that I was charged for an extra 70 minutes. At $60/hour that adds up.

This was the first time I have ever used a home maintenance/handyman service. I was very impressed and will certainly call them again. Mark was not only easy to work with, but he was quick, detail oriented and neat. I have an older house, and Mark turned out to be a clever problem solver. Even making my appointment with the office was easy. Elaine was friendly, capable and very confident that they could successfully tackle whatever job I had for them. I recommend giving them a call.

Their response time was fantastic, very professional, knew what they were doing. Samantha who took my call and followed through with follow-up calls really deserves an A+ for her customer service skills - I think she is a great asset to this company. Thanks again to all that work at MHM.

It is hard to correct a bad first impression. The owner, Mark Cady, did a great job of that. He stepped up to the plate and admitted they had made an error and did everything in his power to make it right. The ratings I am listing are for the follow up service, not the initial call. It is unfair to rate based on an employee who did a poor job.
