CADY HANDYMAN SERVICES

He was very friendly. We had no idea what to expect and so he took my husband to the hardware store. The cost does not include the hardware as he went to the store with my husband to pick out the items needed - this was just for the labor in replacing the toilet.

My husband called Cady Handyman and talked to Mark, who was very professional and helpful. He was able to give us an estimate over the phone. He scheduled the electrician to come out when we requested (we wanted the work done after the holiday weekend). They sent my husband a confirmation email before they came out to do the work. Ben, their electrician, came to our house on time and was very professional. He got the work done in a reasonable amount of time. About ten minutes after he left, I realized that I'd forgotten about my Angie's List coupon. I'd already written a check and sent it with the electrician. I called their office, and they had him come back so I could use the coupon and write out a new check. I thought that was really great. We were very happy with this company from start to finish.

Overall everything turned out alright. I would use them again.

I've used them before. They are very good with scheduling and staying on top of making sure appointments are made and kept. They do good work and do it in a timely manner and at the quote that they give. I'll continue to use them as needed.

They were going through a lot of turnover at the time so there were a lot of different people coming out to do the jobs which caused it to go slower then anticipated.

I was very dissappointed. I felt like I was taken by the nicest service man every. The appointment was scheduled in a time manner. The workman arrived on time and then after assessing the work left to "get parts" and didin't come back for almost 2 hours. Something about the company credit card didn't work due to a bank mix up. It took 4 hours to hang one ceiling fan and do the wiring for another. It was a pretty regular run the wiring through the floor joists, but he made it seem like a big deal. Mostly he look liked he was pretending to be busy. He went back and forth to his van about a dozen times to get stuff. He said the previously installed fan was not done corrently and that this was going to be a bear. Really he just had to remove a board and a hook holding the previsous fan and after he got serious about what he was doing that took all of 5 minutes. In the end he only installed one of three fans after being at my house all day. They then told me I'd have to wait two weeks for him to finish the job. After some discussion they got that down to a week with a different guy doing the work. Then that guy showed up 30 minutes late and I was already out the door to run my errands. I paid way too much for an incomplete job. I'm going to go with somebody else to finish up.

I called on Thursday and scheduled my appointment for Tuesday morning. Ben showed up promptly at 7am ready to get to work. He ran into a snag due to my older plumbing under the sink and made a run to Home Depot for some additional parts. He got back and finished up the install without any problems. He was very informative and explained everything to me. Very professional and cleaned up when he was done.

I left a message and my call was returned the next day. They left me a message but I didn't get a chance to call them back for a couple weeks. In the meantime, the property management company that looks over my house had already arranged handyman services. I called John back to apologize, and that I'd keep him in mind for the future.

Ouch! This one was bad, real bad. I've lived in the same house for 21 years and I can honestly say that this was by far, the worst experience I have ever had with a "handyman" company. I've had good handymen and OK handymen, but Cady Handyman Services was brutal. Ben was the first guy they sent out and he did a below average job with the concrete work, (concrete on the siding) (concrete on the air conditioner condenser)(concrete all over the garden sprayer)(cable wire left hanging) and a below average job with the tub drain (crooked), and a horrible job caulking the tub & the kitchen sink. The next guy they sent out (3 to 4 days later) to fix Ben's blunders did a good job but didn't know how to do plumbing so they had to find somebody else to come out at a later date. (3 to 4 days later). Mark came out to fix the crooked tub drain but managed to bust the plumbing in the process and had to go get a part. We had to leave for a graduation ceremony and Mark said he would come back the next day to finish up. Nobody showed up so I called the company and they said Mark was busy that day and that they would schedule him to come out next week. I told they lady that this was not acceptable and that I would call Mark. I called Mark & he said that he would try to make it around 5. 5 came and went with no special guest appearance by Mark, and no call from Mark. The pictures don't lie...this is how he left the job. Wisely, I Immediately stopped payment after the first "handyman" left with the check so at least I'm not out the $532.00 they wanted for a job they started 2 weeks ago and still isn't finished. I guess I'll just have to eat the $30.00 stop payment fee. If you are thinking about hiring Cady for anything, think again. Sincerely Brian Minneapolis

ended up finding a burst pipe so we discarded the list and fixed that, so thanks you very much for changing plans and he did a great job fixing it and patching the wall; also sealed my gutters so they don't leak; he gave great suggestions on other items as well, I will DEFINATELY hire them again; oh and the person who answers the phones was curious and helpful

They were efficient, prompt, and courteous in their work.

Ben from Cady came out Monday to reattach our front gutter that had come loose from the house along with part of the fascia. He also cut the gutter spout to fit flush with the house and filled in a small gap between the fascia and the house. I called Cady on a Thursday and scheduled for them to come out on Monday at 12. They were able to get there early and make the repairs in less than two hours, keeping in touch with me anytime they had a question or concern. I was very impressed with their quickness and price.

I scheduled an in-home estimate for 1pm today and John didn't show up. He called me at 1:15 saying that he forgot to hand off the estimate to someone else. 1. He didn't show up. 2. He never told me that I should have been expecting someone else to show up had he passed on my info. So unprofessional and so bad. They would have made a lot of money helping me with all my projects too.

Very professional. Mark is personable and he is a talker, but keeps working while he talks. He gave me several tips as to other small jobs around the house.

They are punctual and the price was good. They were not professional because they left the wood with the sharp nails and stuffs like that after the work was done.

Overall, it was a good job. I thought it was a bit pricey but didn't get another estimate. Cady hired a sub-contractor named J and M Services, who does remodeling projects.

They did excellent work. They have been here a couple of things to move furniture and fix things around the house. They are very clean and knowledgeable. I like how professional they are. If there is something you need they will bring it with them. I will continue to use them in the future.

He was excellent and actually arrived early. He was pleasant, and worked with me on the repair; so that I had money saving options to pick from. I was extremely satisfied with him, and the work that was done. He was just fantastic. I found him on Angie s List. He gave me a coupon for a discount because, I was telling him about more work that I need done. I do have more work to be done, and I will be using him.

They were on time, efficient, professional, and did everything I needed them to do. It was a good experience. They completed everything in an hour.

After submitting a request, I received a phone call to set up a convenient time for Mark to make our repairs. Mark was running a little late, but he called and let me know how long it would be. He performed the services in a timely and professional manner. A very friendly gentleman, who I will call in the future for help.

It went great! I will definately use them as my handymen!

He was on time and explained to me what he would be doing. He got it done in about two and a half hours. He cleaned up everything after he was done and helped me carry out the old oven. The price was great for what he did.

Ben arrived on time did quality work and cleaned the area after he was finished.

They were here when they said they were going to be here.

He was real good. I think he stuck very close to the bid. He was a nice guy and tidy. The only thing I wish could have been different was there was a pretty sizable trash bag of wood cut of our window sill for the replacement that was left I wished he would have taken away. He was good at explaining things. There were times I had to leave and leave the house open and I did not worry about it. He seemed like a decent guy.
