AMERICAN RUG LAUNDRY

We had previously used American Rug and have been pleased with them. They were cleaned and wrapped for storage.

They have a good reputation. They will pick up a rug, and I also purchased a high quality rug pad from them, and when I first came, it was cut too short, and they immediately replaced it with the other one, and told me to keep the other one. They were very accommodating. The prices are good as far as I know.

They did an excellent job and were able to get out some older stains.

Update - We received an invoice by email, and when I responded with a request for payment and delivery information, nothing came. When I called six days later to follow up, I learned a delivery date had already been set. They refused to take our schedules into account when arranging the delivery date, which is very difficult since both my husband and I work. "That's just how we do it" was the response. No longer impressed. In setting up this appointment by phone, I felt like I was talking to the business owner - or at least someone who cared very much about establishing a relationship, communicating clearly, and providing solid service. The person I spoke with asked good questions about what I needed and provided a range of serviced and price estimates. They were punctual in picking up the rugs when they said they would.

Ok. I was surprised the rugs did not come back brighter in color than expected. They were cleaned, but the colors did not improve.

I selected American Rug Laundry purely becuase of the outstanding reviews and testimonials on Angie's List. I had never cleaned my Oriental rugs, in part becuase I was nervous about finding a place with the expertise to do it right. From the minute we dropped them off, we know we had made the right choice. We had the rugs cleaned in August 2013, but becuase we were housebreaking a new puppy, we didn't unroll them until New Year's day. Upon unrolling them, we were pleased with the cleanliness of the rugs and overall, they looked much, much better. Unfortunately, upon further inspection, we found that two of the three rugs were returned to us with damaged fringe. Parts of the fringe was torn off completely, parts just a bit shorter than before. My stomach sank. I knew, based on the reviews I'd read, that I needed to let American Rug Laundry know about the damage. So, on New Year's Day, I carefully drafted an email and attached photos of the damaged fringe and sent it off to request that they review and consider the situation. Within MINUTES, I received a response from Sam Navab, assuring me that he would pass my request on to Mike, the manager, and they would get back to me promptly. I was very impressed (on a holiday!). Sure enough, first thing the next morning, Mike called us and willingly took responsibility for damage and agreed that it would be fixed to our satisfaction. In fact, he dispatched someone to pick them up the next day. He called to confirm that the fringe would be completed and showed true concern over how we wanted the fringe to look and assured us that they wanted to make it right. I believe them! In a day and time where I plan an argument (sadly) to get the service deserved and paid for, American Rug Landry hit it out of the park with me. Their quick response and willingness to make it right blows me away. I am THRILLED with the service I've received and I don't even have my rugs back. I have total confidence in this business and appreciate the way they have handled us, as customers (VALUED customers), from start to finish. It was quality work, communication was excellent, and they finished well ahead of the promised completion date. We are very satisfied.

American Rug Laundry picked up my four rugs (one nylon, two wool, one braided) and one rug pad at my home, cleaned three of the rugs (regular cleaning) and deep cleaned my 5' x 7' wool rug, which had many pet spots, and the rug pad that goes with it. The cost was slightly less than I was quoted (I also used their 20% off coupon from their website). They returned my rugs to me exactly when they said they would. They all look nice and fresh and clean. I could tell they worked h****** getting out one or two of the nasty pet stains on the big rug, which were not entirely removed, but they look much better. Their fine print says they don't guarantee removal of any stain. I was also told this when I called for estimates. They did a nice job on my rugs and I will use them again.

I emailed the company for pricing and pickup/delivery information, and received a quick response. The rug was picked up the following week and dropped off two weeks later as promised. My 8' by 10' jute rug from Pottery Barn looks better than I expected--its luster is back, almost like new. I am extremely pleased.

They were successful in removing a very difficult red wine stain. I am extremely grateful and relieved. Definitely a happy customer!

They did a beautiful job. When I went to pick them up 2 of them had some odor to them. I let them know and they fixed the issue right away.

We foster Puppy Mill dogs that have not been house trained. When one makes a "mistake" they all follow suit. So dog urine was our problem. Lucky for us dog urine is one of their specialties. Will use them again and plan to have them clean our carpeting as well. Also, the free pickup and delivery was wonderful!

Rug came back looking great, deep rich colors. After the guys left, I noticed the end tassels where broken off at different lengths and looked messy. It was an old, 30year, oriental rug, the cotton was old and brittle, but I didn't realise this might happen. After talking with them, they came to collect rug, re-wove cotton into the end tassels, trimmed and touched up color. Looks great. Very happy and appreciate the time they took to look after my concerns. I would use they again.

We needed to clean two wool rugs, 5x8 and 8x11. The rugs were picked up on a scheduled day, cleaned in a week or two, and delivered back to our home. The cream-colored large rug looked fresher than before, but not all dirty spots came out completely, as I was warned by a lady who took the order. There was another more expensive option of deep (immersion?) cleaning, but I decided against it.

American Rug Laundry is the only place to go when you need to have oriental rugs cleaned, deoderized and treated for pet stains. I inherited my rug from my mother and it is an exquisite, hand-made rug with brilliant color and a thick pile. In the past, the prospect of cleaning the rug always generated a lot of anxiety. Then I recalled that my mother had always used American Rug Laundry for her rugs when they needed to be cleaned. Living on the east side of town I was concerned we might be outside their service area, but there were absolutely no issues with getting on their calendar for rug pick-up and we had it back within 2 weeks looking like a brand new rug. The pick-up and delivery team was prompt and professional. They rolled up the rug for me, which is much appreciated because it weighs a ton. I received courtesy calls to confirm pick-up and delivery of the rug. A very well run operation and as previously stated, the quality of work is superb!

They came right on time and were very professional. Absolutely no complaints.

I found a Black Friday coupon in the paper for 30% off Oriental rug cleaning at American Rug Laundry, a couple weeks after my cat had knocked a sample can of paint onto my bedroom rug. I had resigned myself to living with the stain after failing to clean it completely myself. I took the rug in, and they said they'd do their best but probably wouldn't be able to remove it completely. They said it would be ready to be picked up in 2 weeks. It was ready in about 1.5 weeks, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that any evidence of the stain is completely gone. I can't even tell where it was. With the coupon, it set me back about $170. That was a lot for me to spend, but it was worth it. The rug looks great.

They are wonderful. It has been a couple of years. They have phenomenal coupon offering tomorrow and I may be hauling my oriental rug. It is cheaper if I bring rug into them but they also do offer pick up and that is kind of a big plus sometimes because the rugs are hard to handle, manipulate and bring in. I pay a little bit extra but it is not outrageous. I can leave it on the front step and they will pick it up and leave a receipt for me and that is convenient for people that are older.

They did an excellent job of cleaning. They did warn me ahead of time that a couple of spots would not come out. That was nice so when i went to pick it up, I knew what to expect.

We had a good experience with them, things were done on time and properly done. It was a good value!

I was happy with the work they did. They also do carpet cleaning.

They were good at what they do. I think that anybody needs their rug cleaned should go to them.

They do a good job on oriental rugs. They have additional services and they will repair them. We have been using them for 10 or more years. They seem to do what they say they will do.

They were extremely tremedous! They even moved the furnitre around for us! They were very courtious. They got to our house on time. I would recommend them highly and for sure use them again.

I called first to be sure I could get the rugs back by Tuesday, September 6, the day before our move. I took the rugs to American Rug Laundry on Thursday morning and explained our need for quick service. Brian, one of the cleaners, assured me that it could be done and to check back Monday to see if there were any problems. I did call and the rugs were ready for pick-up today. I haven't looked at them yet as we are moving tomorrow so I wanted to leave them wrapped up.
