All Day Haul Away

Description of Work: I gave them a "B" in punctuality because they arrived early and I wanted to be home for the pick-up. I had one time that I would not know about until my pick-up time. But they waited for me so I was there to make the decision. It was a little difficult to know how much we could put out for pick-up. They say it is about the equivalent of four household washing machines. When the came they said we could have add quite a bit more for our $99. But we were glad to be rid of all that we did put out. | |

Description of Work: Service was scheduled given day. They were a "no show". I called; got a call back with confusion as to the original scheduled date. Came late after scheduled time for the next day - no call to explain the late arrival. Person who came was very polite and professional. However, I had purchased a $59.00 deal with no small print that paint cans had to be empty, and some electronics were excluded, as well as the fact the TV had an extra charge. The person who came was put in an awkward situation of having to explain all this to me. Company policies seem very unclear and unprofessional.

Description of Work: The two men removed two large sofa/sleeper couches, and were very competent, friendly and accommodating. So problems at all. (The price was a special Angie's List deal.)

Description of Work: The Hunks (2) arrived early and were most efficient. They brought up two old couches and other heavy stuff from a basement and managed the stairs and two sharp turns with aplomb. I had been alerted in advance about extra fees for recycling the couches and additional items beyond the deal so no surprises. Highly satisfied! I would definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: We purchased the deal for $99 and we have e-mailed and called several times to schedule a time for them to get the junk. They have not responded to date. We would like them to perform the service we paid for.

Description of Work: They were supposed to cone between 10-11 but didn't get there until 1:30. I had to call multiple times to find out what was happening. When they came they were efficient. I did not have much so the rice seemed high. I waited all day and they were done in 15 minutes.

Description of Work: I had used Hunks Removing Junk last summer for cleaning out my garage and power washing my floor. It was a great experience, so when I saw their Big Deal for basement cleaning, hauling away stuff, getting rid of cobwebs, and deodorizing, I jumped at the opportunity. I sent my scheduling request on 6/6 and received a reply on 6/7 that the Hunks were booked to come in the afternoon of 6/12/14. I sent an email query about the size of "1/8 of a truck load" before their scheduled date, but did not receive a reply. Although I made sure I was home all afternoon on 6/12, no Hunks arrived and they did not call. I sent an email to Brent on 6/13, and still did not receive a reply. The next week I called to complain and Brent seemed unaware of the problem, despite my emails both before and after the service date. He was pleasant, though, and scheduled me for later in the week and said that he would deduct $30 for my inconvenience. | |The Hunks arrived at my home on our second scheduled date in a timely fashion. I informed the lead person that I had a $30 credit from Brent; he was unaware of that, but said that he'd honor it. The loading of the truck went well and the two staff were efficient. But when they were done loading, they had no clue that they were to do anything beyond that, and they'd been sent out without the necessary supplies for doing the rest of what was specified in the Big Deal. | |I suggested a discount for the failure to be able to perform the full service and the lead person and Brent had several phone calls resulting in Brent's unwillingness to honor the discount that he'd promised me based on missing the original appointment date. His rationale was that I was already getting the Big Deal price, which was a discount already and they never give a "double discount." | |I paid the bill minus the originally promised discount. | |The Hunks Removing Junk staff people who came to my house were polite, careful and efficient. Description of Work: Ran a little late but they were very efficient. Two very nice guys, explained everything beforehand and had everything loaded in a 1/2 hour. Will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Description of Work: We had an Angies deal but they always seem to upcharge for everything we want taken so it doesn't end up being a great deal. I think we have decided to use other measures in the future for pick-up of stuff.
