All Day Haul Away

Description of Work: I purchased the 5 yard dumpster deal, 3 days for $115 and it was to be delivered on Friday. When I got home it hadn't been delivered. I called and they said they had me down for the next weekend. I closed on my house on the 30th and had to be out that day so I was moving out that weekend. They were sending a truck instead on Sat at 10am and the truck showed up at noon, quickly loaded half of what I needed to go and left. I had to by a Bagster and pay an additional $140 to haul off the rest of my junk.

Description of Work: I called and reserved a dumpster at the beginning of September to be dropped off on October 3rd. I was told no problem they would call me before they dropped it off. On October 2nd someone called me and asked if I was supposed to get a dumpster. I said yes. He said, " what size?". I told him it was an Angie's list deal. He said he didn't have any of those dumpsters available but they did have a 15yard trailer dumpster but that was more expensive. I said that wouldn't work. I told him I had already reserved a dumpster a month ago. He said they should have told me there would be a $50 delivery charge for the dumpster. He said if I didn't mind I could just pile stuff up by the curb and they would send over a truck on Monday to pick up the stuff. I said that would work. Monday they picked up everything and tried to call me, I was in the dentist. I called them back and they told me I had put out 7 yards of debris at an additional cost of $68. I said that was unacceptable and the person on the phone said we could split the cost,$34. I told him I didn't think it was over the 5 yards, it would have helped if I had the dumpster I reserved, he said his guys always under estimate and it was probably closer to 10 yards. I said I've gotten 5 yards of dirt before and this was way less than that. He told me dirt haulers always give you more than you ordered. If I ordered 5 yards they probably delivered me 10 yards and that's why I don't know what 5 yards look like. He said he would just charge me $20 for the additional junk. Needless to say the whole experience leaves me with a really bad taste in my mouth. Just another company offering a deal and then trying to scam the money out of you. First experience with a service provider on Angie's list less than impressive.

Description of Work: They said they didn't get the dates I filled in from Angies list and so when I called them they had lots of people ahead of me. They missed delivery twice. They were very personable folks but didn't delivery on anticipated date. Pickup was timely which was appreciated.

Description of Work: They removed everything I wanted. However, they did not honor the multiple deals that were advertised with the original deal. I was told I had to settle with Angies List for the 1 deal I could not use. Later deals specified only 1 deal per customer.

Description of Work: Purchased service voucher from Angie's Big Deals. Hunks Removing Junk contacted me shortly after I purchased and we agreed on a date for the dumpster to be dropped off. The agrees upon date came and went and we did not receive the dumpster. The day after Hunks Removing Junk called me to inform me the drop off was missed due to mechanical issues with their truck, they apologized and we rescheduled. I later learned that the new date would not work as my wife had made plans for us that conflicted. We could not find another suitable date and Hunks Removing Junk offered other options unfortunately those options did not work for my situation. I have no hard feelings, however this didn't work for us so we mutually agreed to a refund.

Description of Work: I had difficulty in arranging a firm date for their service, which I had pre-paid via an online coupon. However, once we agreed on a date, their folks showed up on-time and removed our junk in the space of 10 minutes. Bottom line: Hunks Removing Junk can be a cost-effective resource.

Description of Work: I purchased a dumpster rental service from hunksremovingjunk for $115 on Aug. 25 and the PayPal payment cleared a few days later. On Aug 27 I sent an email to them confirming a phone conversation with Rick at hunksremovingjunk on Aug 26, in which a date of Sept 12 was set for the dropping off of the dumpster I had rented. On Sept 11 a call to them for confirmation of the delivery date was made. It seemed apparent the person I was talking to, Brent, wasn't aware of the delivery appointment. I left a phone message on the morning of the 12th, when the dumpster did not appear. Brent called back at 2:30 and said he was surprised that Rick had accepted the purchase since they didn't go that far outside the Twin Cities. We agreed that the dumpster rental would be cancelled and the fee refunded. Thus I am requesting a refund of the $115 rental fee from Angie's List.

Description of Work: Coupon title was misleading - said 5 yd dumpster box for 3 days $115. When I called to setup dumpster dropoff, the vendor said they had nothing available for 3 weeks and then tried to sell me a 4 yd dumpster box for $166. Vendor said the $115 offer is for them to come to my house and load my junk items onto their truck. This is not what I signed up and paid for.

Description of Work: The two men removed two large sofa/sleeper couches, and were very competent, friendly and accommodating. So problems at all. (The price was a special Angie's List deal.)
