All Day Haul Away

It was a great experience. The person who came with the truck was flexible and worked with us to be as efficient as possible in order to get everything removed. We ended up adding an additional fee but it was reasonable and totally worth it to get rid of the items. We had a lawn mower, some outdoor shelving and gardening supplies no longer useful as well as some electronics. There was a slight mix-up regarding arrival but it worked out and we were very pleased with the job. We will certainly call them again if needed.

We hired Hunks Removing Junk as a result of a special deal on Angies list so the price was excellent. I called on a Saturday Morning and 2 hours later they were at my house removing our junk. We compared this servie to those bag services and felt it was much better since you don't have a bag laying around for weeks and months and the volume is basically eye balled by these guys instead of measured with a bag. They came promptly which was more than a little convenient. We cleaned out our junk the day before and put it in the garage and by noon on the next day it was all gone. What a relief! These guys were courteous and friendly as well.

I had to contact Hunks Moving Junk several times, due to their not returning my phone calls. They finally phoned me on a Sat evening at 8:45 PM to schedule my appointment. The two gentlemen who picked up the junk were VERY helpful and expeditiously removed the items that I requested. On the day of the appt. I received a call that they would be 1/2 hour late. They did not have a receipt book with them to give me a record of my purchase.

The experience was very positive overall.

Brent, who was very responsive and pleasant, gave me an accurate estimate and scheduled my appointment over the phone. Then "Hunks" Owen and Ryan came to remove the junk. They worked so hard with nary a curse or complaint (my dear husband would have been swearing I know!). They were friendly and polite, even laughed and seemed to be enjoying themselves as they went about their business ("whistle while you work!"). My husband and I weren't sure the wood-burning stove (VERY heavy) and old water heater would fit through the trap door, but Owen and Ryan were confident they could do it--and they did! It had snowed heavily the day before, so they had to move two objects through the snow (a heavy entertainment center from a building near the house and an old picnic table from the backyard). They removed scrap wood from the rafters of the garage and even swept the floor near the trapdoor! I can't say enough good things about this company! I would definitely use them again.

Exactly thes ame as above. Very convenient to have them come and pick it up and actually load it themselves--versus having to have a dumpster on site over a longer time frame. Great job! Caveat Emptor--the guy that came here said you don't necessarily need to be a 'hunk" to work there!

I was able to call and get an appointment set up that was convienent for me. Over the phone, they described how much "junk" I could dispose of for the special offer. They arrived right on time and removed everything that I wanted to dispose of. Their description of the amount of space to fill up with my junk helped me not have too much stuff so that they would have to charge me for extra. They were very professional and did a good job. I would use them again in the future.

We used a special deal from Angie's list; we called them after going to their website to pay, got a "ballpark" estimate, set a time and date for them to come pick up. They came on the appointed date, on time, and ready to do the work. They gave us another estimate of the cost before they started and did the loading, moving lifting, etc. without our help. Very timely and well done work. When they were loaded, they presented us with a bill for less than either estimate had been, partly, I believe, because of the care they took in making sure they loaded everything so that no space was wasted. They cleaned everything up very well, made sure we were satisfied, then moved on. It was an pleasant and easy way to deal with this company. The people we worked with were customer-oriented and did top-notch work. I will use them again.

They were actually early by a half hour. The porch filled the entire truck and he had to make two trips. Very professional. Used them again a fee weeks later to clean my moms garage.

Due to an employee's illness, the team was running behind. Unfortunately, a staff person took down my cell# wrong, so when they tried to call to inform me, they could not reach me. I called them and they explained what was going on and were very apologetic about the delay and the mix up with my phone#. Once the team arrived, they were fast, friendly, and efficient. They reviewed what I needed hauled and let me know how much truck space it would take, informing me in advance that I would go over the Angie's list $99 special I'd purchased and by how much. I appreciated them telling me this before they started work. I would definitely hire them again.

I got the Angies list deal for $99 for a Normally $250 job. I called and left a message figuring they were swamped with the offer. I didn't hear back from them that day so I called back the next morning and did get a person. We set up the date/time. They showed up on time and took all the junk I had. Nice guys, clean and professional. I would say for $250 I would have hauled it myself, but with the Angies deal it was worth it for $99. I was worried that they would try to get more money out of me because I may have had a bit more junk than the offer allowed, but they just smiled and said "no problem" and took it all. I would use them again in the future.

When I called to schedule the appointment, the associate on the phone was very nice and helpful. On the day of service, I received a call right at the start of my two hour appointment window, telling me when I could expect them. I really appreciated that. They were on time, professional and helpful and the pick up was very quick. They gave me coupons for future services or to hand out to others. I would use their services again as well as recommend them to others.

These guys were wonderful - what a great deal!!!! This was an Angie's List special - $99 for removing a 1/4 truck of trash from any location. The person that handles the scheduling was prompt and cordial and they got me on the calendar exactly when I wanted them to - right away! :-) I live in the middle of nowhere, but they still came to my location without any additional fees. They arrived on time (a little bit early, in fact) and made quick work of the first pile of junk I had presented. I was surprised by how much junk they managed to fit into the first 1/4 of the truck, and they were prepared to keep filling it up for me, too, so I just had them take everything. In total, I paid $140.00 to have them remove about a half dozen 25 gal bags of trash, a broken down desk, an entire queen size bed (mattress, box spring and frame), and additional miscellaneous junk, such as a few old lamps and an old bike, etc. The best part: anything that had the potential to be cleaned up and re-used (like that bike, for example) will be donated by the company and the costs of doing so were already included. They say one man's trash is another man's treasure, and these guys are helping to ensure that! How wonderful to know nothing went to waste - including my hard earned dollars!

They were busy but were able to fit me in and were very accomodating and professional. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

I am very happy with this service and will be acquiring it again in the near future to remove the next batch. The 2 men were professional and friendly. The heavy items didn't slow them down. Excellent service! Highly recommended. Thank you again!

They were great! They came on time, did what we asked them to do cheerfully, and got all the work completed with the cost of the Big Deal! It was a really great deal!

I bought the big deal for $99 and they credited me for the 1/4 truck load as expected. I had quite a bit more so figured it would at least be 1/2 or more, but it was just over a 1/4. So, I was very pleased with the amount of junk they took for the price. Very polite and I will use them again in the future.

They showed up promptly and did all that I asked.

The only thing that went wrong was I had called in to reschedule my appointment from 1:30pm to 9:30am. On the day of, I called at 10AM to see if anyone was coming. Apparently there was a mix up and their receptionist had forgotten to change the appointment time, however they were still able to accomodate me the same day.

The serviced worked out really well. They did a great job.

The company was irresponsible. They gave me an appointment at 1 in the afternoon on Saturday and never showed up. They said they didn't give us this appointment, and even by 3:30 they weren't there. We were really upset.

They did an excellent job of cleaning out our garage. We did have to reschedule because we missed a call from them. They made it out 48 hours later and gave us a discount for the mistake. Overall good communicators and easy to work with. We will call them when we need them in the Spring.

The day before I had to be out of my house I realized I was stuck with a couch that the Salvation Army wouldn't pick up (it had been rained on the night before, the tarp had holes in it - long story). I called the Hunks and they were able to haul off the couch the day that I called them. They were nice and professional. I'd have given them a C on pricing since the cost to haul it away was almost as much as the couch had cost me - but the did it at the last minute, and I didn't have any options for shopping around, so there was definitely value in me getting rid of that couch.
