All Day Haul Away

The young man that showed up was kind and loaded up our items quickly. (We had them all ready to go on the driveway).

The Angie's List deal advertised Garage Clean Out and Organization. The service did powerwash my garage floor adequately. However there was no "organization" of the garage items as they were simply put back in their same spots. I thought price and promotion were too good to be true.

Was surprised how wet everything got. Items moved out of garage got pretty wet and were returned that way -- a couple of upholstered chairs covered in sheets were put back with wet sheets covering, wood nightstands were splashed and their covering was really wet, laminate shelves quite wet. Cardboard boxes on bottom shelf were wet, some a little, some thoroughly. Two pleasant young men arrived on time, spent two hours -- so $40.00 per hour, which is probably a fair "normal" price but doesn't seem like much of "deal." There's a lot of work left for me to do -- squeegee-ing off the floor, drying things off, etc. Had some minor getting calls returned to reschedule. Good to have the floor clean, but wasn't expecting to do so much myself afterwards.

I was moving and had to get rid of things. The buyer for my house requested an earlier close. I was too late to have a charity pick up the large pieces that could be donated and did not fit in my car. I also had things that had to go to the dump. Hunks was able to do it with very short notice and they had an angies list deal. One young guy showed up with an open back truck. He was a very nice and helpful kid. He was also very good looking, almost like he could have been a model. Left me wondering if that was a criteria in hiring. He was strong and able to carry most stuff alone even though it probably required 2 people. I did help him carry a few things because it would be a wait for another guy to arrive. I volunteered to help carry. The young man was reluctant but allowed me to help where he could use the assistance. He was very helpful in telling me how I could cut down on expense because it was costing much more than I had anticipated, even with the deal. Overall my experience was good and I would use them again. though if I needed to move stuff again I would do it earlier so as to get a better deal. I feel I really paid a lot here and could have gotten a better deal with more time, either with hunks or somewhere else. The young man could not have been nicer or more professional, but it seemed like much more than my mom had paid in her past moves.

Went very well. We had to pay an additional $40 because it took longer than 2 1/2 hours, which we didn't know ahead of time when we purchased the deal.

Easy to work with. Good communications. Did exactly what I needed. Will hire again.

Two young men arrived punctually and followed our instructions to remove construction debris from our garage and several boxes and bags located in our basement. They were professional and very organized. They explained what items they could and could not take and what additional charges would be applied for various items. They were very thorough. We were pleased with the total cost of the service and would have these professionals return another time, when needed.

They were right on time, polite, quick about the work. I was quite satisfied with the encounter.

Overall, it was a mediocre experience. The company was late (1-2 hours) and added a lot of extra charges. The company was polite and worked quickly but was not what I expected.

These guys are great! I used an Angie's List deal for 1/4 truckload. My load was actually about 1/3 so they gave me a discounted amt on the rest, even though the deal was just for the 1/4 load. They were on time, very fast and efficient and pleasant to deal with. I would definitely recommend them!

went well. Removing the very heavy desk from the back of the house (lower level walk-out) and carrying uphill to front by two men was not easy. They also removed a large trunk from atop a tall storage cabinet (some climbing involved). Estimated amount was reduced on site when items were viewed. Very reasonable.

Two gentlemen arrived on time. They called a half hour before the arrival to give me a heads up. They removed the items I wanted in less than a half hour. Some items cost a little more, but this was in the small print. I gladly paid the required cost to have my junk removed. The movers were courteous with a great sense of humor. Would definately use them again.

They loaded and hauled away a large snowblower, lawn mower, dog kennel, grill and some other things that were no longer working and just taking up space in or near our garage. The young men were very polite, pleasant and efficient. We showed them what we needed to get rid of and before we knew it, our stuff was in the truck and they left. What a relief to have those things gone!! We definitely would use them again!

I hired Hunks Removing Junks based on an Angies List offer and prior to a move. HRJ was always very response and quick to come back to me when I left a message. They were a little late which wasn't a big deal, looked at the stuff that needed to be removed and confirmed the quote (it was for 1/4 of a truck). I suspect actually that I might have had a bit more but they didn't charge me extra. All I had to pay in extra was a small surcharge for the recycling of a TV. They grabbed everything (I had stuff in the basement, back porch, etc.) and loaded it on the truck within minutes and immediately sent me an electronic invoice. Very friendly and professional.

The guys were timely and did all the lifting and transferring of the bagged heavy materials (plaster, lathe, old cabinetry) into their truck. Working with them was very easy and convenient.

The guys called in the morning to verify the scheduled pick-up time which was 12:30. They showed up a little early and we talked about how much stuff I had, which I knew was more than the amount quoted on the offer. They asked a few questions, explained about a couple recycling fees and got to work. The guys were extremely pleasant and professional. When they finished they showed me how much more I owed, which seemed like a very fair price. I wrote them a check and that was it. Great experience. I will definitely use them again.

They arrived early, and though I was in a meeting they were patient. There were additional costs that were explained to me. I was very pleased.

I called when they were over an hour late and the dispatcher apologized and said he had sent them to the wrong address. They also apologized when they showed up a half hour later. They were friendly and efficient and able to take everything that I wanted. They even took some recycling out to the curb for me when I asked if they could. The only surpise was a surcharge for the good condition loveseat which I assumed would be donated. I found the open air truck just a little disconcerting as it made me wonder if they really donate or recycle things as opposed to just trashing them- since obviously rain/snow would ruin the contents. But all in all, it was an easy transaction and I was pleased with the service.

These guys were great. They showed up approximately on time even though there was a snow storm. They did a great job of hauling away everything I wanted to go, and they were very professional as they did it. I would definitely ask them to come back, great value, great price, great service.

They called to say they were on the way and arrived soon thereafter. Two men arrived, I showed them what needed to go and soon it was out of my basement and gone. Could not be easier..

Same day service?the best!!! I was so impressed with the professionalism and strength of the "junk haulers." They came within 3 hours of making the call to say we needed service. They were so kind and verified that everything was okay, and we didn't need more done. Three days prior, we'd hauled some stuff to the county dump, thinking we'd save some dough. Nope!!! It was much more affordable to have the Hunks Removing Junk. I was very pleased, and will *definitely* be using their services the next time I need to move, and have excess I don't want.

We had a little scheduling misshape. They put us on the schedule for April instead of March. After a call, they were able to still handle our job the same day. We were very pleased and they did a great job.

I had a great experience with this company. They were professional from start to finish. I was able to get ahold of someone right away and we scheduled the appointment for the end of the week. On the scheduled day, I received a call from them to let me know that they were on the way. They arrived, removed all of the junk (some from the garage, some from the basement, and a heavy sleeper sofa from upstairs). They were courteous and professional and I would highly recommend them to anyone else.
