All Day Haul Away

They removed all of my "junk," and I was very happy with service. There were some additional fees for removing som ehazardaous waste materials, but they were very upfront about these services which I appreciated.

They didn't remove as much as I wanted. They were helpful and did what I asked them to do. They were polite.

They were suppose to be at me house at Between 2-3pm. I was moving out of my house and I planned the time so that would be one of the last things to do. We had to call several times and each time we were told "He is on his way" He finally arrived around 5:30-6PM. The house was empty and we had to get over to the new house.

We purchased a big deal for the service and it turned out pretty well. We had to pay a little extra because we had more than what the big deal said. They were pleasant young men, they were hard workers, efficient, and they did a good job.

They arrived a few minutes early, which was fine with me. I had some junk piled up in the driveway, some in my basement and a large mattress in my living room. The two guys moved it all in about 45 minutes. They did a great job. There was one item that I thought would be too heavy for them. They tried to move it and it was too heavy. They said if they had 4 guys they probably could move it. It was a concrete set of three laundry tubs, and it weighs a lot. I was not surprised that they could not move it, but impressed that they gave it a good try. Great Experience. Would definitely use them again.

We called the number provided here on Angie's list and spoke with Brent about getting a quote for a demolition job. He confirmed with me that he would send someone to the house that evening to meet us. After we waited and no one showed, we decided to give them another chance to provide a bid. I called the next morning and spoke to Brent and said no one showed up at the house last night. He did not apologize, but did say he would send someone over that morning and get a quote back to me that day. No one ever came to the house, and he never contacted me with a bid. I emailed him a detailed scope of work, along with the standard contract we use for all our contractors that same day. It wasn't until 10 days later that he responds to the email and asks what it was in regard to. I respond explaining that we called twice for his bid, and they never showed or provided a bid -so we found someone else for the job, and won't be calling them again for future bids. His response: a one liner that reads, "Sweet, sounds like way to much BS for us anyway!" As you can imagine, I was super surprised by his unprofessionalism, given his "A" grade here on Angie's. I was going to let his no-show slide and not write a review. However, after that email, I felt it was necessary. In response to service provider's comment: I have all the emails saved in my box to prove this. I emailed him on August 1, 2013 with a contract and application. He responded on August 11, asking what it was in regard to. I emailed him back on the same day explaining that it was for two scheduled bid appointment wherein they did not show up. Brent responded with his one liner (mentioned above) on August 11. And then shockingly AFTER I wrote this review sent me this email on August 14 (copied and pasted below): Why would anyone jump through all that paperwork to give yiu a quote? Can you fill out a 10 page report then give me a quote? That is the reason I said it was BS. In the world of time is money, your bid process is not appealing. Just a friendly heads up. I had water leaking into the basement and my carpet/pad and tack strips molded. They hauled away that plus a bed frame, chair and 2 large cement slabs I removed while grading the yard. They didn't reply initially in the 2 days after I bought the deal, but were super fast after I followed up, called before arriving, arrived at exactly the scheduled time and hauled the stuff in about 10 mins. Saved me from renting a truck, loading it, driving it to the dump and then returning the truck. Awesome. Thanks!

They were prompt, fast and friendly guys.

Removed everything from my garage, cleaned the floor and put what I requested back in. The remainder of the stuff, they hauled away for the additional price. It was a very hot day. The garage looked wonderful when they were through. It still looks great. They showed up on time, alternated between the two of them working and getting the vehicle to haul away stuff, were courteous, hard working and finished the garage in less than 5 hours including hauling the stuff away.

The work went very well. They came when they said they would, and they completed the job very rapidly. Scheduling an appointment was very easy, they answered the phone immediatly and we set up a time.

They were on time, efficient and polite. Did a great job in a short time.

Great! They were right on time, were pleasant and efficient and did the job. What more could I ask for? This was my second experience with this company and they were great both times.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went really well. There were no extra charges. They came out in a timely fashion. They were friendly, efficient, and more than willing to help me with some difficult heavy items.

I emailed the Hunks Removing Junk and got a very rapid reply to my query about an estimate. My husband called them in a couple days and asked if they could come out and do an estimate. They came right away and within a few days they were here. Owen and Ben showed up right on time. Owen was so nice about explaining how they would proceed and discussing with me the list of stuff which needed to be dispatched . They both started working immediately. They carried a very heavy old treadmill downstairs and out, and also an extremely heavy post for an opaque projector filled with heavy counterweights. Then they moved on to the garage and meticulously hauled and packed in their truck a long itemized list of stuff. Ben thanked me for moving our car so they could more readily load the treadmill and projector post which they positioned on the front lawn before cleaning out the garage. Both men were wonderful help and very nice people. We NEVER could have done it without them, and I thank Goodness we found the Hunks Who Move Junk! They are a Class Act.

I contacted them via their website, and just a general time was set up for the next day. I live close to work, so they just called me when they were on their way and i was able to meet them there. This was a huge bonus - not having to wait around for a time slot. Owen and Ben took a look at the scope of the job, explained pricing clearly. They were nice, professional, and efficient. It was so nice not having to figure out where to take this stuff, or coordinate friends to help move it. Pricing was reasonable and this saved me so much time, from headaches, and probably backaches!. The additional small fee ($10) to recycle the printer was completely fair and saved me a trip to the recycle center. I will use them again!

They hauled a bunch of household materials for me. I was happy with their service.

They were over a hour and one half late from the time they told me they would be at my home. I told them ahead of time what they would be taking away, and it would take two men to load some of the things. They only had one man come and I had to help get one of the things out of my home.

Everything went beautifully. Hunks Removing Junk are the best. This is the second time I used them and will use them again if needed. I did not have to move a thing just show them what I wanted moved and where it was. When they arrived I had discovered that I had a lot more to be removed then I had originally called them about but it was not a problem and they took care of everything. They are all polite, neat and thorough.

They aren't very good at returning calls, and said they'd be there from 8-9am. I got calls from dispatcher saying the truck was running late, but when they showed up at 10:15 there was no apology.

Fine. Two young men arrived (a little past the appointed time) and were personable & efficient.

It went very well with the exception of the additional cost for recycling the two appliances. These costs were not detailed in the angie's list special I bought for $99.00. It was an extra $30 for recycling. I think those additional costs should be clarified up front so people know exactly what they are buying. The two men that came were very courteous and I would use them again.

They came over right away, within 15 minutes. They were really reasonable. They were very polite; we’ll use them again when we leave this place.
