They promptly returned my call to schedule the appointment and were able to book me within 24hours. They showed up on time gave me an estimate for the additional rubbish that was not covered by the Big Deal I had purchased. They took everything away. The crew was very professional and courteous.

The boys were very punctual, speedy, friendly and professional. They moved and packed it all with just a day's notice. I was surprised at the cost to take away junk and furniture, but that is just my inexperience in the value of the service. I would recommend HRJ!!

It ended up okay. I didn't like the fact that they advertise one price and they tell you they're going to remove this much stuff. Then every item they move, there's an extra cost to moving that item. I just kind of had to bargain with them to take part of the stuff. Number one, they never called. I emailed them, after I made the big deal purchase, to contact me by phone because I don't do email all the time. I'm not at a computer. I don't have it on my phone either. I had asked them to contact me by phone to set up an appointment time. They never contacted me. Then they just showed up one day. We had to kind of scramble to get stuff together. The guys didn't want to wait so they said they'd give us time to get our stuff together, call back in, we'll make another appointment. I did that but they still didn't come at the time they said they were going to come. It just ended up turning into from one day to about a week and it still ended up with me having to bargain with the guy because he still came when I was not at home. My kids were here. They just took part of the stuff that they were supposed to take. I just told them I wasn't going to pay any additional fees for anything extra because they should've stated that in the contract. The young man that came was professional.

Initially, we had a bit of a glitch because their crew was delayed at another project and could not reach me on my cell phone. Once the owner (Brent) got ahold of me, he was extremely helpful and re-routed another crew all the way from Maple Grove to get my job done. The guys who arrived were excellent, very professional and hard working. This will definitely be my first call next time I need to dispose of items from my house.

We initially had a hard time getting ahold of Hunks Hauling Junk after buying a big deal on Angie's list. Once we reached them, they scheduled a date and time to come out an pick up the things we needed hauled away. My husband took the morning off of work, and they never came. He called and left a message, and they called back and said they could come at 11:30. I was able to come home to meet them. They arrived about 12:30. They were nice, polite, and took everything we requested. They worked quickly.

Our basement flooded this summer for the first time, and we had lots of ruined shelving, cabinets, and a mess of other odds and ends to get rid of. I was just looking into renting a dumpster when this Big Deal came up. They were easy to reach, scheduled an appointment within less than a week, and then when I later remembered a conflict, easily allowed me to change the date. We had another crew in working on flood damage in the basement, and they were able to add their waste to my pile, too. Their comment on this big deal was "3 yards for 99 bucks?! That's CHEAP!" I would definitely call them again, if I need to get rid of more junk.

I purchased big deal from Angie's list. I called and was able to get the service next day. They offer even evenings and weekends. They came right on time, gave me estimate for my 1/3 truck junk and took care of everything in 10 minutes. We are still remodeling the house and I sure will use their service again.

Set up appointment shortly before Angie's List voucher was to expire. They were very accommodating. They did arrive 45 min late on the scheduled day but did not call to say they were running late. Once here they were great Very large and heavy items for two guys. Incurred some additional disposal fees I wasn't aware of. ($35.00 for tv and other items.)

Yeah, it worked out okay. They came three weeks ago and there were no additional charges. I had used them for the first time and I really think they did more than what they were contracted to do. The kid who came out was nice, he did a good job. He was the only person working surprisingly, I kind of thought that he would not be able to do it but, he just went in there and did it.

I had recently moved into my home so I had numerous moving boxes to be taken away along with a garage utility door that I had replaced. There are also various other items. I piled everything in the middle of the garage to make it easy for them to load it up. We had arranged for them to show up between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. At 11:00 a.m. they had not shown up so I called. I did receive a call back from the owner and the men finally showed up around 11:30 a.m. That is my only complaint. Other than that, they loaded everything up and did a great job. I would use them again.

We were called before the appointment to confirm our time. The junk removing "hunk"arrived on time. Asked what needed removal. Then cheerfully made many trips from our back shed and lumber pile uphill to put it all in the truck. We had a little more than our coupon covered, which he asked if we wanted to continue or stop at the 1/4 truck that the coupon covered. Price was very fair and agreed on prior to continuing. Overall this was a fabulous experience. I highly recommend this company.

Ben and Luke arrived promptly and, as requested, called before they got here so I could move my car out of the garage. They were pleasant and professional ? and in fact far exceeded my expectations. After explaining what Hunks Hauling Junk would charge to dispose of the paint and electronics, and I decided to take stuff to the recycling center myself, they were nevertheless cheerful about bringing everything to the garage so I could organize it. They asked me to make sure they'd got everything out of the basement and, even after I'd told them I would be disposing of the electronics myself, went BACK down to carry up a TV I'd forgotten. They really didn't have to do that. I especially appreciated their willingness to honor an Angie's List coupon that had expired nearly a year ago. If it were possible to rate them an A+, that's what I'd give them. I couldn't be happier and will definitely use them again.

This was one of the best decisions I have made. I was contemplating renting a dumpster, but someone mentioned that they had a company come remove their junk. When i saw the Angie's List Big Deal, I decided to go for it. The discount from the Big Deal made this a very economical way to go, plus they do all the work. I would recommend this service and this company to all. They were very professional, showed up on time, got the job done and cleaned up after themselves.

It wasn't the best experience. The guy that had done it came and he had taken all of the hauled junk and it's good. The problem was with the scheduling. I made an appointment and they came back to me. I sent them dates as requested and the instructions. They said "How about this day?" and it wasn't any of the three days. I reprieved and said "No. I gave you these three dates. I need these dates." So, they set up on the three dates. On the day we agreed on, they called me saying something came up and said that they couldn't come. They said they'll come tomorrow and I said "Okay." They called me the next day and I appreciated this. They said "We don't have enough room left in our truck at the end of the day. We don't have room in our truck to give you the quarter load that you've purchased." I said "Okay, fine. Let's do it this weekend." Because we moved it so may times, I've already have plans on the weekends. Things got mixed up partly because of me and partly because of them. I called to cancel but I called again to un-cancel. The gentleman came and took our things that we asked them to. They gave me a perfectly fair price on any overage that I had beyond the coupon. The two gentlemen who came were great. They were courteous. The next day after that, the scheduler called. He hadn't communicated with these guys. All he had was my last message. I was happy to have them come and very happy that I have all of my renovation garbage taken out of my house. It wasn't a positive experience though. Their professionalism was fine. The problem was the availability of the scheduler. I called but it was routed immediately to voice mail. That was problematic. I'm happy with the price.

In fact we didn't even get our 1/4 truck load of junk hauled which should have been included in the Big Deal. There was not 1/4 of the space remaining on the truck when the crew arrived at our house. We prefer to fix the damage to our door ourselves rather than have this guy come over. But members should be aware that Brent Peterson is untrustworthy and unprofessional.

After a few communication errors about what day and time they were coming out we were able to connect. The young men who came were great. Unlike other reviewers all extra charges were not communicated upfront. There seems to be an extra charge for all electronic type items equal or higher to other places. I would use them again for broken items disposal but would dispose of electronic items elsewhere.

They were on time and efficient. They clearly explained any extra costs to me .

Bought this as part of a big deal. Response was quick to my initial message with available days. On the original appointment day, HHJ neither showed nor called to reschedule. I was out of town for the next few days and at no time did they reach out to me to apologize or reschedule. I contacted them about a week after the missed appointment and got a lame excuse about them having problems with AL's messaging service (not sure how that contributed to them missing a scheduled appt). We rescheduled for yesterday, and again they did not show or contact me at any of the three phone numbers I gave them. Two separate emails to their email address have gone unanswered, I've only been able to get responses via AL messages. At this point, I'll be contesting the charge thru American Express for non-performance of service. Good riddance, I don't have the time or energy to deal with these guys.

They were wonderful. They said they would move junk and they were really good. They lifted it all and took every bit that we had for them to take. It was just what we had hoped it would be.

It's a pretty simple job overall. They stuck to the $99 deal. I think they did a fine job. I would use them again in the future.

After several awkward communications, by email and phone, some with slow responses, there was a mix up with the date, they did not show. They offered to come at a different time, but again, slow responses and just so awkward I just decided to skip it. I don't recall the actual dates. It was a few months ago. Since it is required, I guessed.
