All Day Haul Away

Arrived later than planned and I'm not sure they would have come at all if I hadn't called after a half hour went by. To their credit I had cancelled once and rescheduled, so I think there could have been a mistake in scheduled work for that day. Yet once the company man arrived he did everything I asked and explained any extra charges (I had a coupon for the cleaning only) to haul away the junk from my garage. He did a great job, was very pleasant and professional and it took less time than I thought it would. I also used this company to move some furniture from my house to my mother's residence. First, I called a number of moving company's and they all refused to move the furniture because the move was so small. I then tried Hunks Removing Junk and the company readily agreed. They were careful and efficient and extremely professional following instructions to the letter all the while being pleasant and polite especially so to my 91 year old mother. I would definitely use this company again.

They were timely, reasonable and clear on their pricing. The experience was exactly as described... Point and they take it away. We actually felt a bit lazy as we moved through the garage and basement!! Additionally, we had a large item that required an additional quote and a bit of creativity to remove and they were on top of it! Even though it took two trips, they were successful!!! I will definitely use them again. I used to take quite a bit to the Hennepin county disposal site, but lately, 50% or more of what I bring there is turned away or costs a fortune to dispose of properly!!?? These guys simply make the whole process simple! I am more than happy to pay them for the job they do!!

They made initial contact to schedule the appt right away; I proposed a few dates but did not get confirmation. I left a message the night before and didn't hear back until shortly before they were to arrive. Also I was told on the phone that they would arrive with an empty truck, but that was not the case. The guys were very friendly though, ended up also removing an old freezer from my basement, which was difficult to get upstairs.

It was a good deal because I needed some things hauled away. They came out with a truck to remove the boxes. I helped them load the truck and it took only a minutes for them to come and go. They were cordial and helpful.

Owen and a helper showed up on schedule, looked at stuff to be hauled away, explained their procedure, quoted a price which was fair, loaded the truck, used Square on his mobile to charge my credit card, and left. Fast and easy. Owen is a nice, well spoken young man and I would be happy to see him again. Note: We live in Minnetonka. Hopkins is the post office that services our area.

The purchase went well but it was more expensive than I expected. They were good but they were just expensive.

The staff was very professional and I walked through the house with items I wanted to include and was informed I could add several additional items for a very reasonable fee, so I added a range and an over-the-range microwave oven and several other items that were an issue. The savings was tremendous and I intend to use this company again in the future. By the way, the original offer included the removal of two futons in addition to the appliances and several boxes.

I had lots of stuff in my garage that needed to be hauled away, including hard to dispose of items like old car batteries. He took it all. I was very happy except with the time he showed up. He was late enough that I wasn't sure whether he was coming, which was a worry because I had pre-paid plus I had to be somewhere later and couldn't be late. It did all work out. Once he was there he worked quickly.

The coupon was for a smaller amount of junk than we thought, so we paid extra to have the rest hauled. They were punctual and thorough. I would use them again!

The company scheduled an appointment for 9am and did not show. When I called them and emailed it took an hour and a half to get a response, they had scheduled on the wrong day. So i rescheduled, they said they could still come that day at noon, again a no show at noon, at one pm they called said they were doing great when I said I wasn't great because they were an hour late, they gave an excuse of my being located too far away. Very annoying 2 hours of my day wasted waiting around on them. Hopefully I'll be able to get a refund because if this is how they treat customers I sure do not want them in my house organizing.

Excellent. Service was scheduled, the guys showed-up on time, were friendly and professional. They loaded all the trash and we chatted about other possible hauling or moving services. I was really happy with the whole experience and will use them again!

We were give a time that they were supposed to show up and they never arrived or called to say that they would be late. I ended up calling the company when the time window had passed and the owner was surprised that the truck had not show up. It turns out that they had a larger than expected load at the last house and they "didn't have my phone number." They could have called their supervisor to get my number. Luckily, my schedule was flexible enough that day that they were able to still come later. I also had almost a full load for them to haul away so they may have had to return anyway to fit everything. They did a very good job on taking care of the actual removal of junk from the garage and basement. I would recommend them to friends and suspect that they typically do show up when expected.

They told me they wouldn’t organize, even though it was stated in the deal, it was like pulling teeth just to get them to sweep, even though the deal stated they would pressure wash the floor. They hauled away two coffee tables, a chair, some empty boxes, a door and some cans of paint. I wasn’t told there was an additional hauling charge. Two men they were only here for an hour, and I was promised three hours. They wouldn't apply the remaining two hours toward the hauling fee, they charged me an additional $130 and didn't give me a break down for the charges. They were an hour late. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I would say it went very well, though there was a surprise. I may have not read the offer well, but i was surprised to find out when I checked in with them the day before that what we paid covered the power washing but not the hauling away of junk. So we had to pay extra for that. Still, we were happy because this offer got us to prepare for their visit by going through everything in our garage and putting aside what we wanted taken away, and we swept the garage well before they came so the power washing would be more effective. We ended up with way more space in our garage and fewer places for debris to accumulate.

The service was perfect. It went just fine. They came when they said that they would. The one crack spot about the whole thing was my not knowing how much was a quarter of a truck. So, I put everything that I thought would be a quarter of a truck in one place and once they got there, I did not really have as much as I could have had. They said, "Well actually, you have room for more." So then, I went around and threw some more stuff in and then they finally said, "Yes, that is it." That worked out fine. It would have been better if I have known beforehand how much I could really bring out but they did a great job. I have had no problems with them. I also did not spend any more than the $99 coupon. I would absolutely use them again in the future. In fact, I already have plans of using them for next spring.

You know what, mistakes happen, and people have different ideas about what good service is. I appreciate that they were willing to come get the stuff the same day I called them. I appreciate the nice young man who answered the phone. However, I did waste an afternoon of my time waiting for the folks to show up when they said they would (1:30-2:30 - which I understood was an approximation). When they had not arrived by 3:30, I called them and politely inquired if they were planning to come by today. The young man said he would call me back in two minutes. Twenty minutes later he still had not called, so I cancelled my deal with Angie's List and called him to tell him I would not care to work with him. A simple phone call letting me know that they were running late and was that ok with me or would I like to reschedule to another day was all they needed to do. I live in an old house. I have had a lot of work done here. I am very easy to work with. Many vendors would tell you that. But, I am moving and I cannot lose an afternoon sitting around waiting for someone to show up when I have many projects to complete and my time is limited.

They were great - arrived on time, crew was very polite and very efficient.

Two young gentlemen showed up right on time. They were friendly, courteous and got right down to business. Hunks Hauling Junk delivers exactly as advertised. I pointed and they hauled. They worked hard and fast and seemed to have fun in the process. They made me smile! Took them under 30 minutes to do what I couldn't do myself. I will definitely use them again and I would recommend them enthusiastically and without reservation.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It went very well. They did a good job and we enjoyed it. We were pleased. We had them take a few more things. It was hard to know exactly what would fit in the space in his truck. We pretty much knew that we had more than what the deal would cover but it was still a good deal. We thought the price was reasonable but we didn't check a lot of others.

It went very well. I called to indicate what needed to be picked up and where it was located. It was picked up within a couple of days.
