All Day Haul Away

The two young men who performed the service were very affable, and eager to do a good job. I asked them to remove a small, dorm/beverage sized fridge from a kitchenette area. Although I thought it would be a simple unplug and remove operation, it turned out the fridge was wedged tightly in place. The worker ( unfortunately, I do not remember his name), was undaunted. He simply went to the trunk and returned to carefully extricate the fridge, without any damage to my home. They also removed other items, emphasizing their policy of recycling as much as possible. They explained that an additional fee would be assessed for the fridge, but it was reasonable. When I mentioned wanting some paint to be removed, they again explained the fee that would be assessed, to comply with proper regulations, and suggested other alternatives I might wish to pursue. These young men were a delight to work with, and obviously enjoyed their job! Having freed up a bit more space for updates/ remodeling is refreshing! My one recommendation is perhaps the company provide them with foot coverings to use when working indoors. J. Gayle

Very prompt. Friendly workers. Were careful not to damage walls or doorways as they removed sofa and other furniture from a small room. Very concerned about not bringing dirt into the house!

This is the 2nd time we've used them, and it won't be the last. It went great, just like the first time. They're on time, very polite and professional, and do a great job.

Went very well. Refrigerator was full of old beer, which I did not check ahead of time, so they just taped it shut and took it as is, laughing between grunts as they lifted it onto the truck. When I showed them the concrete proch benches to take the next time, they just laughed and told me that would be no sweat!

After former renter left mounds of junk, we put in all one pile in garage and Hunks Removing Junk came and took the entire pile except for a printer. They also swept the area the pile was in. Very professional and helpful

I bought the $99.00 deal on Angie's list and was a little leery at first because of some of the reviews. Let me say that my experience with Hunk's removing Junk was an absolute DREAM. It started with sending of emails back and forth to get a date and time arranged. They were very prompt and courteous in working with me and we had a date and time within the day. On the day of the appointment they arrived within the hour time frame I was given. Both Ben and Michael introduced themselves and then we got down to looking at what I needed them to remove. They decided to start with the TV's from downstairs to at least get them up the stairs and out the door. The one TV was an old Zenith Trinatron that is very heavy and has a massive backend. My own sons told me they would not move it again after having to do so several times, but Ben and Michael had it out of the house within a few minutes..... While they were working on getting the refuse from the tree out of the backyard I was sitting on my back deck feeling so bad that they had to haul it by hand. We were joking that at least it was a chance for them to get a suntan while working. Both Ben and Micheal were very friendly and it made the whole experience very pleasant. When it got time to load up the shed they were very thankful that I had taken the time to disassemble it the day before. I guess I never thought or expected them to have to do that but they said they have in the past. One score for me.... Overall the experience with Hunk's removing Junk has given me a great feeling and I will definitely use them every time I need to have things hauled away. It is so much better than getting a dumpster and having to load it yourself. I will always try and request Ben and Michael (if that is possible) because they are very good at what they do and they have a great attitude and professionalism that makes the experience feel good.

I got a deal for Hunks removing Junk through Angie's big deal. They were very accommodating, for we had to reschedule a pick up date 3 times d/t schedule conflict and they were very nice about it. The only complaint I have is that I did tell them what items would be picked up and I was told anything that fit into a certain truck size would be covered under the deal. Upon arrival, I was told the childrens' mattresses would be any extra $17 dollars each. I wish they would have told us when I listed items for pick up. Overall, they were nice guys.

The big deal ($99) included 4 cubic yards of junk with an additional charge for some materials ($17 for the mattress) and an extra cu yd of stuff ($40). The 2 guys were efficient and thorough in negotiating the additions, then packing them and hauling them away. Good job!

Great value! This the first Angies Deal I have purchased and I was very pleased with the experience. I purchased the deal and received an email the next day. I then called and scheduled the pick up for the following week. I was given a one hour window and when they had not arrived 30 minutes after the time scheduled, I called their number and left a message asking that they call me. The truck arrived 45 minutes after the scheduled time. When I asked about the time, they said they had only gotten the information a short time before and did not have my phone number. They were very nice and apologized numerous times. I had tried to compact all my junk to maximize the amount they could take. They worked quickly and efficiently and took everything. I received a call about 30 minutes after they left from Brent who also apologized for the delay and offered me a credit on my next call to them. It may be a while before I have enough junk assembled but I definitely will use them again.

They had cheerful, professional personalities, and worked quickly. Everything went great!

I bought a Big Deal for junk removal in advance of when I needed the pickup. Hunks Removing Junk was able to schedule the service promptly once I was ready for them. They arrived on time and cheerfully loaded up the truck in the rain. They did have surcharges for 2 of my items, one of which I thought was exorbitant so I didn't actually get all of the desired items removed. The only other issue was Angie's List repeatedly nagging me to write a review before I had actually used the service.

Never showed up and very unprofessional -05/25 in response to Hunks Removing Junk on 05/16/2014: It was my understanding we had an agreement and your estimate was for a full load + recycling fees. How was it your understanding I did not want your service. Please don't assume or make up any excuses. You agreed to the price for a full load and apologized for your "No Show". Just admit you dropped the ball and move on. I went with another company through Angie's list "Junk Happens" and they were awesome! Priced better than your agreed price and was on time with great communication. Big thumbs up!

The service was very good. They arrived on time and they were very quick with getting all of the junk out of our home. They came quickly after our call.

A little lack of communication (heads up notice and follow up regarding schedule). The job was well done but I ended up paying extra a lot more than expected.

Owen and Jason arrived - Introduced themselves and listened to what I wanted. They cleared out the piles of junk in 10 minutes. Very professional and considerate. I would recommend this service and use their services again. Please consider them for your junk hauling needs.

For junk people, they were professional. They arrived when they said. They did what they said. They met the quote that they provided.

I emailed him, got no answer after three weeks, called again and he said he would take care of it anytime. I scheduled another date and got no response again. Done trying and want my money back.

They truck showed up a little outside the service window (15 min late). Otherwise, service was great. 4 young men showed up to very aggressively deal with the junk. They fully described what my Angie's list coupon provided and offered me the opportunity for even more junk removal at a very fair price. These boys dug right in, removing the junk from behind the garage (where I am afraid to go). I would recommend this company to anyone needing stuff hauled off. Thanks HUNKS!

They did a good job and they were prompt and polite. They removed a washer and dryer. There were extra costs for the disposal of large appliances.
