There was an additional $10 cost to the $99 Big Deal, but he told me ahead of time because it was concrete and it was very heavy and told me that it would be an extra $10 which was fine. They were fast and efficient. They came earlier than they had said, but that was okay because that was good. There were no unexpected issues. I would use them again. I was happy with what they charged. They were good.

Purchased a Big Deal, and did not receive call back as advertised. Left a couple of messages before finally scheduling the pickup. They got lost finding our Longfellow address, but when they arrived, they were professional and efficient. We had some additional County recycling fees related to our items, but fairly disclosed. Would use them again.

It was a little confusing scheduling the day planned for pick up but when the young men arrived they were quick and professional. There was an additional charge to haul away the chair and hassock due to the amount of cardboard and paper and extra charge to ldispose of stuffed furniture.

Overall, Hunks Removing Junk (Brent) was a very professional organization to work with! Right after I paid Angie's List for the Hunks Removing Junk deal, Brent contacted me to schedule the work. I knew the coupon was good through the end of 2014, and I told Brent that I would be scheduling the hauling a few months down the road. I ended up moving out of state sooner than I had expected, and I sent Brent a note to let him know that I wouldn't be using the deal that I had purchased. He wanted to get me a refund, which he said needed to be done via Angie's LIst. Angie's List wouldn't give me a refund, because the 30-day period had ended (even though the coupon hadn't expired). They did, however, commit to having an account manager call me to arrange some substitute service. Since then, no one at Angie's List has called me (and that was a few months ago). Brent, however, has periodically followed up with me to see if I ever got a refund from Angie's List. His follow-through and professionalism have been superb! I really wish that I could have done business with him. On the other hand, the performance of Angie's List has been disappointing - especially for an organization that helps identify businesses with great service.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal of $99 for junk removal over the summer. I contacted the company in November to schedule a pickup before the Big Deal expired. I received one e-mail response asking for scheduling preferences. I responded the same day and never heard again. The Big Deal expired without the company scheduling a pickup. I tried to contact the company again this month to see if we could work out a deal. There was no response to my e-mail. A work day phone call to the telephone number on the e-mail was simply answered "Hello", I had to inquire if it was Hunks Removing Junk and it was the company (or an employee). During my explanation the call was disconnected, I immediately called back and the phone was not answered. At that point I contacted Junk Happens & scheduled the pickup for a next day pickup.

They couldn’t bring out the dumpster that was part of the agreement to remove the junk since it was winter. They ended up rearranging the deal and having a few guys come out with trucks to remove the junk. I had to pay a little extra but it worked out well.

Where to start... We purchased a Big Deal for $115 for delivery of a 5 cu.yd. dumpster to be delivered on Monday, Nov 17. We called the Friday before to make sure they had the correct address in Burnsville, and stressed that we had workers contracted for Monday, and they'd need the dumpster to be there at the very beginning of the day. We were told they'd probably deliver the dumpster Sunday night, which was great. Monday came & went. No dumpster. Our contractor called us to Tuesday morning to advise that the dumpster was not there. We called the Hunks. They said, "Nope, sorry, you aren't on the list. Who are you again? Oh, no, we don't deliver to Burnsville. It's too far away. But since you already bought the deal, we'll do you a really big favor and deliver, by the end of today. " Tuesday went. No dumpster. We called again at about 6:00 pm. "Oh, yeah, we see the order. Sorry, we can't deliver today. We have a truck, and we have a dumpster, but the only drivers we have can't drive a stickshift, so you'll have to wait." (What? You have drivers, but they can't drive your equipment? Seriously?) "We'll check our schedule and get back to you in a few minutes." Of course, they never got back to us. We called back several hours later, and were told that they'd deliver the dumpster on Wednesday afternoon. At this point, the folks we were paying to clean out the house had been delayed by two days for lack of a dumpster, and they were now charging us overtime. They suggested that we upgrade to a larger dumpster. We called the hunks back. Oh yes, they'd be happy to send a larger dumpster (15 cu yds) for an additional $699. Keep in mind, the original deal was for $115 for a 5cu yd dumpster. The upcharge seemed usurious at best, especially given the difficulty in getting them to deliver on the original deal. We talked them down to $400, for a total of $515 for the 15 cu yd dumpster. That's about average for a dumpster of that size, so the price was not out of the question. Of course, there would be a delay, since we were changing the order. Now, they couldn't have it there until Thursday. We called our contractor midmorning on Thursday to see if the dumpster was there. No, it was not. We called the hunks back. They assured us that it was on the way. I understand that it was actually delivered at about 2:00 on Thursday afternoon. The dumpster was filled, and the hunks came back to remove it before the weekend was over. The timing on removal was fine. So there's the story. We paid an average price for a dumpster, and in return were subjected to a staff that has honed indifference and unresponsiveness into a high artform. Their delays cost us hundreds of dollars in extra contractor fees, several days of frustration and countless phone calls trying to track down someone willing to give us what we had paid for. I would highly recommend that you find a different garbage hauler for your project. No matter what the price, these guys are not worth it.

The dumpster was small, but OK for our needs. It is trailer mounted which made it quite high and a little tough to get larger items into it (lip was up about 6'-6" above ground). It took them over a week to come pick it up when I was done with it, I had to call three times before they came and got it. Not a bid deal at the time, but I was worried it would snow again and they'd have trouble getting it out.

I emailed them twice and calleed them and never got a response so they never did the job I had already paid for. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone
