Aero Drapery & Blind

I knew this project was going to be a major expense and I really did my homework and invited SIX different window treament retailers to provide me with ideas and bids on the project. Most of the retailers I visited had tremendous success with Hunter Douglas products and it seemed quite obvious after a short period of time, this would be a pefect choice for me, but finding the right retailer was the a bit tougher, at least initially. Well, sales rep by the name of Sally from Aero came out to my house and was not onlly the first person that I visited, but the one that I selected as well. She encouraged me to shop around and talk to the competition, which was very refreshing from a sales person. Sally was extremely professional, as were most of the other folks that came out, but the extra added valued added services made me decide to hire Aero Drapery. Once I made the decision to use Aero, Sally came out almost as soon as I hung up the telephone and provided me numerous temporary shades throughout the house and even installed them for me, which was a nice bonus. I met with Sally at least three times before I made the final decision as I did with the folks from the competition and I am confident any one of these firms could have done an excellent job, but after looking at the overall GUARANTEES and PRICING, Aero was the clear winner. I spent hours on this project and I absolutely took my time, (almost too much time) and compared many different Hunter Douglas retailers and I know I made the right decision hiring Aero and would recommend them to others. About four weeks later the installation crew stopped by the house and they spend several hours taking down the temporary paper shades and installing the customized shades and everything is absolutely perfect. I am very, very satisfied with the finished product and the house looks beautiful. In addition, Aero offer a no questions asked return policy if I wasn't happy with any of the products. How could I go wrong? It was a substantial investment but these new insulated mini blinds will not not save us in heating and energy costs over the coming years, but the house looks so elegant. Thank you Sally and thank you Aero!

Fabulous. I was fortunate to work with Will who has a background in design as well as a long history with the firm. He was very helpful in identifying considerations that I might not have noticed at the front end, but that would have bothered me subsequently if not addressed. This is a big purchase and it is hard to visualize prior to installation so having someone who gets a sense of you and your style and combines that with his knowledge of the product is immensely valuable. I had already gotten a quote from another firm when I called Aero just to see if it was in the ballpark. I was quoted a significantly lower price and advised of their 20-20 policy. Basically they let you live with the blinds for 20 days and if you want to change anything they do it at no additional cost, unless you want to add a feature and then it is only the incremental cost for that feature. I took advantage of that service when I decided to add a top down bottom up feature to some of my blinds because I liked it so much in the ones that did have that. Both Will and the person who installed the blinds were very professional and very pleasant to work with. I would definitely use them again and recommend them highly to others.

We used Aero in our last home and were very pleased and satisfied with their work. It was the first company I called and arranged an appointment right away. We had a very good experience with Mary - talking through choices and options - but then had to put the entire project on hold due to insurance reimbursement issues. Nine months later - we decided to revisit the project and realized after living in the home - that some options were not going to work for us. We tried other companies to get another idea and also had Aero return for a second consultation. Mary was patient and answered all questions and redid the estimate twice to give us options and the best price possible. We chose a different company in the end because they beat everyone on price, free installation and had suggested an idea for the patio doors that none of the decorators from the other companies even suggested - an idea which we used and are very pleased that we did in the end.

They have been responsive, but we have had problems. One of our shades is on its second remake. It is a shame that it did not get done right the first time.

Color and fabric type were narrowed down rather quickly and samples sent in a timely manner. However, Mary didn't seem to exude a lot of enthusiasm or confidence (as another member stated, she just seemed kind of flat) so I wasn't totally convinced we had the right selections so more samples were selected and sent. From this point, it was 6 weeks before any follow-up call was received and during that time I had another company come in for a consolation and ended up going with them. It's unfortunate for Aero because I did end up going with some of the choices made from Mary's initial consultation.

Very well, from initial visit to showroom where we were able to get preliminary information, to the Aero rep's (Mary) visit to my home for presentation/measuring to the install by Paul. Mary showed us a number of options to work with, given the somewhat unusual sizings of the windows and the various sizes thereon, and enabled us to meet our overall budget. She was patient with us as we decided that we needed to consider alternatives to what we originally envisioned, never a rush. She also measured all the windows very well, and Paul was out 4 weeks later with all the blinds and installed them very well; he was very methodical and got everything in the right spots.

STORY: Will was very concerned that I get just what I wanted, thus the short drive to see Shirley. As I mentioned, Shirley spent a great deal of time with me. They both were very receptive and responsive to a couple of phone calls about other concerns I had. The finished product is beautiful, just what I wanted. I am so pleased with Aero. My only negative comment is about price: I thought the price was quite high, especially since I provided the material. I know they did need to do special things for me, though. To offset the cost, Will offered free installation. Jon, the installer, was on time and did a nice job hanging the valance. I told them I was in no hurry for them to make them . It took five weeks to make them.

I contacted them through the website to request an appointment for someone to come to our house. I received a call several hours later with available times. I was even told that the Hunter Douglas prices were increasing and asked whether I wanted to schedule prior to the price increase. The person who came out was very good at helping us to select treatments. We were not sure exactly what we wanted and would not have picked either the wood blinds or the cellular shades on our own but are happy with our choices. The only problem was that we had been hoping to go cordless in all rooms as we have small children but that was not possible for the wood blinds and the bedroom windows were an inch too wide to due both bottom-up/top-down and cordless. We only found out about the inability to do cordless in the bedrooms after the order. We were able to do light rise which works as the cords are never less than 4 or 5 feet off the ground.

Mary was helpful in color selection and what type of blinds would work best (ultra glide vs. literise). I didn't choose Aero, only because their prices were higher than where I ultimately ordered from. This was surprising especially since they were having a free top-down bottom-up sale and three of the blinds I want are that style. However, Aero does offer excellent perks like extended warranties at no extra cost, free installation for Angie's List members, and free temporary blinds.

The customer rep Sally was very nice and helpful throughout. The blinds arrived first and were installed and we love them. Our drape order arrived and the drapes were way too long. The installer tried to tell my husband they were supposed to be that way. I had specifically requested that the drapes not drag on the ground in my order. The drapes had to be removed and hemmed again. The company was very responsive to my concern and had the drapes reinstalled by the date I requested so they would be up for a large party I was shaving. Sally made sure of this.

Very well. They were very helpful on the phone, and were very curteous and professional at the store. It was great to find somewhere that would restring a very large picture window blind. It would have cost us at least $600 or more to replace the shade. They did a great job cleaning as well, and got the shades back to us in a timely fashion.

I received a quick call back in response to my online inquiry. The person who came out to do our measurements and suggest options was on-time, professional, and friendly. She was very helpful in finding blinds that would look nice with our wood trim in our home. Installation was free thanks to an Angie's List coupon. Installation was quick, the guy was very nice, and cleaned up well. The blinds look fantastic and we are very pleased. We will definitely use Aero again in the future!

I thought it was very good service. I liked the shade so I decided to get a valance. The saleswoman also helped me in picking that out, too.

I was very unimpressed. The bid quote was actually $30 less than a second bid I got from another company, but Mary, sadly, does not seem to like her job. She was very flat and did just the bare minimum. She presented few options and did not have a great sense of coordinating colors. Perhaps I just caught her on a bad day?

They did an excellent job. The woman who came out for the estimate was really professional. Everything happened like they told me it would. I am very pleased and would definitely use them again.

Overall it was excellent. Everyone was very professional, prompt, helpful, and had great ideas. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to family and friends. This was as painless as could possibly be - took less than 4 hours of my time TOTAL!!!!! (2 in selection, 1+ to be home for installation, half hour taking down the original blinds).

Went to their showroom to get an idea what they had to offer. Knowledgeable staff went over the options for my window. I have a large stationary window with a sliding window on either side. I wanted three separate blinds so that I could have privacy but also leave the sides open for ventilation. They suggested Duette cordless top down bottom up blinds. Mary came out to my home to measure and let me choose the color. The blinds were delivered and installed a week or two before I expected them. They work and look great.

Salesman (Steve) very helpful in selecting and measuring area necessary for remote control operated shade. Installer apparently was not advised area was 15" up. After installed, did not operate initially with remote control. Installer determined infrared eye in shade headrail cover apparently was loose or wire in back was loose and fixed problem, worked OK.

Kelly, my decorating consultant, was nice and also professional. She talked me into ordering the wooden blinds for the den. I'm glad she did. I'm very happy with them.

They salesperson, Mary, was very friendly and helpful. She knew what I wanted just by my describing it. The installers were very friendly and fast. Some of the kitchen blinds did not adjust right the first time, so they took back and returned them in about a week. I was given paper blinds to use as a temporary help.

Steve A., the sales rep, was easy to work with and was persistent in getting the details perfect. The installation was in a older house (100+years) and both Steve and the installer worked together to fit many uneven and sagging window frames. The style of shade I chose is an older and less frequently requested product. Will Bathke, the owner, was both invovlved and supportive in giving my sales rep the leeway he needed to make this job flawless. the people at Aero are pros.
