I called in at 1 o'clock on a Thursday afternoon and there was a technician in my home by 5:30, the same day. There was a courtesy call about a half hour prior to our appointment to confirm that the technician was on his way. The technician, Shannon, was in our home for about 25 minutes and he did a fantastic job. We had leftover carpet so he was able to utilize what we had and make a quality repair. The billing ended up matching the initial quote. We will definitely be hiring these guys again.

The water restoration company had done a very poor job of cutting, their cuts were far from straight and Grant had to put in a few patches in order to get the carpet back together. We didn't have any extra carpet to use for patching so some carpet had to be taken out of a closet. Grant did an awesome job of piecing things back together. The patch is noticeable, but only because the 10 year old hallway carpet was obviously more worn than a piece taken from a small closet. Once the patch gets some more foot traffic it should blend in perfectly. Grant let us know ahead of time that the patch would be noticeable until it gets worn in a bit, so we were not a surprised at all. The end result looks great. Grant got to our home right on time, was very respectful and he is definitely someone that I would call if I ever need any flooring repairs in the future. I have attached before and after photos of the 3 affected seams. The carpeting is at least 10 years old and has been flooded twice. Based on what he had to work with the end result was amazing in my opinion.

I believe the gentlemen's name was Josh....though I did grade him a N/A on punctuality he did say it was due to traffic and with the construction season in Mpls right now so I didn't rate him on that. But he did call twice to let me know that he was leaving and that the second time he was about 10 minutes out that that was accurate. The job was done so quickly AND I can't even see where the snag was!!!! amazing work! I would call again!

On the scheduled day, I called Meagan about 30 minutes after the scheduled time when no one showed up for the job. She said she would call back once she found out what happened. I still had not heard from anyone about 4-5 hours later and placed another phone call. Around 8 am the next day, Meagan called to apologize and explained that the employee had car trouble the previous day and was supposed to have called the day before himself. The work was rescheduled for Tuesday of the following week. I had to change that day to Friday of the same week due to a conflict. I got a call on Tuesday that the appointment may have to be changed due to heavy snowfall...however, the job had already been rescheduled for the Friday of that week as I previously mentioned. Lucky for that person the bad weather caused him to call or he would have made the trip out for nothing! I received a phone call on the scheduled day about 2 hours before the scheduled time and because I was home, the job could be done earlier than planned. The employee came in to assess the living room/hallway and didn't ask whether he could leave his shoes on or not and didn't put shoe covers on either...he simply walked up the carpeted stairs with his wet dirty shoes. As we were planning to get the carpet cleaned about a week later, I said nothing. He wrote up the estimate and I asked whether they gave an Angie's list discount, which they do not. He brought the tools in to restretch the carpet and he was able to remove the wrinkles in the carpet. Upon closer inspection after he left, I discovered that his tools had caused some surface damage along the entire length of baseboard. Maybe that's something that should be expected, I don't know. I'm usually pretty easy to please, but the scheduling errors definitely colored my overall impression and the conduct was not as professional as it should have been.

I called to have them stretch the carpets in my home since they were not installed properly by another provider. When the worker came, he said the job was too big to accomplish that day, so instead he gave me an estimate of what it would cost. I thought the price he gave was much too high for the work that needed to be done, so I called another place. We were able to get the work done at a fraction of the cost and in less than half the time he had estimated.

I hired someone else who showed us samples and took measurements on a Monday evening. The installation was completed a week later. I paid roughly what I would have paid All Carpet, admittedly, but the work, top to bottom, was done with the idea that I was the customer. Again, I don't wish to be too harsh here - All Carpet will get by just fine without my money, I'm sure. I do find their ad here to be somewhat misleading, however, and if a customer has to leave work due to your inflexibility and limited availability, that just adds to the cost.

My criticism is not as harsh as their 'F' grade would suggest because we never got far enough to know how good All Carpet is. Since they were not hired, and did not respond as I would have liked, I could only rate them on "Responsiveness" where I found them wanting, as follows: Their posted hours here on Angie's List are "Daily 8:00 am-8 pm." I am left to wonder what that actually means. They simply refused to have someone come to our home for a "showing" of their samples unless we could be there during the week between 10 am and 3 pm. Had their ad listed their hours as "Weekdays 10:00 am-3 pm" I would not have contacted All Carpet in the first place. Like a lot of homeowners, we work during those hours and did not want to sink a few hours of vacation time into looking at carpet samples. We did suggest that we could do so in downtown Minneapolis, somewhere near where we both work, or at our home on a weeknight or weekend. I left her (Meagan, by email) with: "I would hope you could accommodate our schedule. If not, I'll thank you for your time and find another installer." Note, too, I would have had to also take more time off for a different All Carpet employee to measure the floorspace, as Meagan informed me those tasks are performed by different folks. She never responded to my last message. Fair enough, All Carpet gets to set their own hours and select who they'll work for, but there are too many carpet installers I can hire without having to leave work on multiple occasions to accommodate All Carpet's schedule.

Warning: If you are a responsible customer, you may be confused with an irresponsible customer. A week or so ago I called to set up an appointment to have an estimate done on flooring for our kitchen. The appointment was set for yesterday, October 23rd at 4 pm. My wife left work early to get home to make this appointment. I was home all day working out in the garage. At around 3:50 I went back into the house and my phone indicated a call with a voice message. It was from Meagan saying that it was around 2:00 and and she was at least an hour away and wanted to confirm the 4:00 appointment. I called her immediately and she indicated she wasn't coming because the appointment hadn't been confirmed. I told her at no point did she originally indicated I needed to make my self available to receive a confirmation call. She said they always call because so many people forget to show up for appointments. That's why they ask for a daytime phone number. I told her that absolutely, at NO point, was I EVER told they would make a confirmation call the day of the appointment or I would have made myself available to take this call. (I'm retired, but it makes you wonder how couples who both work could answer a confirmation call like this.) She indicated since it was so late, we would have to reschedule. I pointed out that the only one who was late was her because my wife and I were both home awaiting her arrival. At this point I told her we would not reschedule because frankly, we had lost confidence in All Carpet & Vinyl Services Inc. This seems to have been an avoidable miscommunication but somewhere in the mix, All Carpet & Vinyl Services Inc. has forgotten they serve the customer. If you deal with this company, and I advise against it, be CERTAIN you pin down an exact time and date and be CERTAIN they tell you that they will call you to confirm, no matter how inconvenient that is to your schedule.

We always appreciate customer feedback because it helps us serve our customers better. One of the policies we tell everyone who books a job with us is that we'll be giving them a Courtesy Call an hour or so before the actual appointment time to "make sure everything's a go". We have to prevent wasted trips whenever there's some kind of timing foul-up, or the customer has forgotten about our appointment altogether. These things happen and we understand cancellations, but when this customer failed to answer his phone, it made it look like nobody was home. After waiting for a response, we finally moved on to the next appointment. Almost all service companies that drive out to your home will confirm your appointment in one way or another like this. When the customer finally got the message and called in, it was already too late. We apologized and offered to reschedule for the very next day but the train came off the tracks when we couldn't come out that night as demanded. Forcing that visit late would have made us late for each of the other appointments already scheduled for that evening, and that's a terrible choice. It was just an all-around shame because by missing just one little Courtesy Call, he missed out on a Trusted Family Company that would have taken expert care of his carpet and flooring needs on a personal basis for years to come. A group of friendly, hard-working, knowledgeable technicians that have been serving and protecting our new and repeat clients for more than 40 years in the Twin Cities Metro Area.

It went just like I expected. No problems, nothing unusual at all. I'd call them again.

I needed to have a very dirty and worn office carpet cleaned. I was able to make the arrangements on a Sunday! for the following week.I knew it wouldn't look like new, but many of the stains came out and it all was cleaned well. They came at 4:30 one afternoon and the carpet was dry to walk on the next morning.

They were terrific -- from the first phone call to the technician who arrived to provide the service. They arrived at the scheduled time and assessed the problem with the damaged carpet. They replaced the damaged section using carpeting from a closet, and then returned to replace the carpet in the closet (after I purchased another section of carpet). It was so easy to deal with them and they made me feel like I was their only customer. Very impressive service!

They arrived on schedule and performed the work within their estimated cost. The quality of the work was excellent - it's impossible to tell that the repaired area has been patched. I would highly recommend them.

We discovered a small hole (about the size of a silver dollar) in our downstairs carpet of our townhome, possibly caused by the one of previous owner's pets. We contacted All Carpet and Services, got an estimated cost to repair the damaged area and scheduled the repair. The work involved removing a small section of the carpet and installing a patch.

Danny did a phenominal job. He helped me select a better closet than the one I had picked to take the carpet from. He set my expectation that it would be noticeable due to the difference in wear & tear on the carpets. When he was finished however I literally could not tell where the new pieces were! He helped me move the furniture, cleaned everything up and was very pleasant and professional. He was 30 minutes late due to weather but called me ahead of time and made sure this was OK.

The service was highly professional and prompt and the home treated with respect. When some slight scrapes were made on a freshly painted wall by the carpet installation process, the company was immediately responsive and made sure we got a discount. I had a hard time finding the right company to do this repair. When I did, they responded the day I called. The workman was on time, did his work well and quickly. The carpet once again looks beautiful. He also took pains to clean up after himself, a service I'm coming to especially appreciate since it is often neglected. He was professional and friendly.

I spoke to Meghan on Thursday January 27 about two corners of a bedroom which had been soiled by cat urine. She indicated they would remove the affected carpet and pad, seal the underlying areas including the floor, tack strip and baseboard and patch in new pad and carpet and that this could be done the next day. The next day, January 28, Dan (the service technician) called about 15-30 minutes prior to arriving to let us know her was on the way. When he arrived he took a look at the area, explained what the plan of attack was and got it done. In all he removed two sections of carpet (one 2'x2' and 3'x3') and a longer strip of pad. He then sealed the floor, tack strip and baseboard to eliminate any residual odor. He then put down a new section of pad and patched in new sections of carpeting. The odor is gone from those two corners and you can't tell that those sections were patched in. I couldn't be happier.

My carpet had acquired ripples in it in multiple places in all four rooms. When Dave came out to bid the job he gave me some good information about options I had, depending on how much furniture I wanted to move. I decided to make arangements for each room to be empty of furniture as Dave worked on the carpet. Dave was prompt, and worked quickly. The carpet looks as good now as the day it was originally installed, including the areas around doorways and in-floor heat registers. I'm very pleased with the results.

I spoke on the phone with Grant Teske to describe the job and obtain an estimate. I explained that I needed old carpeting removed and new carpeting installed on eight steps and a 12 X 12 area of the basement. I also explained that the installers would need to move a piano and return it to its original position as part of the job. Grant said the entire job would cost approximately $200. I asked him if there were any additional fees that I should be aware of, and he said that there was an additional charge of $20 per doorway. However, when the installer arrived, I found out that it would cost an additional $80 for carpet removal, an extra $40 charge for stair work and $75 to move the piano. Grant had failed to mention ANY of these additional fees. Grant also failed to send more than one worker to move the piano. The worker called his son, who came over to help move the piano and help with the installation. However, after they finished installing the carpet they both left without returning the piano to its original position. When I called Grant to have someone come move the piano back, Grant claimed that actually $75 only covered moving the piano one way, and that they actually charge $200 to move a piano both ways. I would never ever use this company again, and would also not trust a single thing that Grant Teske says.

WHEN WE ADDED CHARGES TO MY PHONE ESTIMATE TO COVER THESE "SURPRISES" WHEN WE ARRIVED TO DO THE WORK, SHE WAS UNHAPPY BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T GET AWAY WITH SOMETHING DONE FOR FREE. HOWEVER, SHE SIGNED OUR CONTRACT SAYING THAT SHE WAS OK WITH THE NEW PRICE BEFORE WE STARTED THE JOB. WE DID THE JOB, AND THEN SHE SIGNED OUR CONTRACT AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETED, SAYING SHE WAS SATISFIED WITH EVERYTHING! SHE PAID IN FULL BY CHECK AND DIDN'T STOP PAYMENT OR ASK FOR A DISCOUNT, NOR DID SHE COMPLAIN BY PHONE OR LETTER ABOUT THE BAD SERVICE AT THAT TIME, OR BEFORE SHE FILED THIS LIBELOUS FALSE REPORT ON ANGIE'S LIST. WE HAVE HAD OTHER UNDERHANDED CUSTOMERS TRY GETTING THINGS DONE FOR FREE IN THIS SAME MANNER, THAT'S WHY WE HAVE THEM SIGN OUR CONTRACT, STATING THAT THEY ARE OK WITH EVERYTHING BEFORE WE BEGIN, AND THEN SIGN AGAIN WHEN WE ARE COMPLETED: SHE WAS OK THE PRICE, OK WITH THE WORKMANSHIP, OK WITH OUR CONDUCT, OK WITH EVERYTHING. NOW SHE IS ABUSING HER MEMBERSHIP IN ANGIE'S LIST, AND SHOULD BE CENSORED IN THE FUTURE FOR MAKING UP A FALSE COMPLAINT LIKE THIS. CUSTOMERS THAT ARE WILLING TO PULL BACKSTABBING TACTICS LIKE THIS SHOULD BE SUED FOR DAMAGES IN DISTRICT COURT. THIS IS PURE LIBEL, AND I HAVE HER SIGNATURES ON A CONTRACT TO PROVE IT. PEOPLE WILLING TO STEAL FROM OTHERS SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO SLING FALSEHOODS AROUND BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T GET THEIR WAY. IT'S TRULY SAD, AND MAYBE EXPENSIVE FOR HER IN THE END. FAIR IS FAIR AND WE TRY HARD TO MAINTAIN OUR PERFECT REPUTATION. OUR RECORD AT THE BBB IS PERFECT. WE HAVE THOUSANDS OF SATISFIED CUSTOMERS, AND THOUSANDS OF REPEAT CUSTOMERS WHO WON'T BUY FROM ANYBODY ELSE.
