Description of Work: Called Charlie on Wednesday Feb 9th and he agreed to do the ice dam & snow removal the next day. (actually took the appointment while standing on another roof snow removal job) Unbelieveable!!! He arrived at 8am and was finished by 10am...he even charged less than the estimate of $500.00...can't beat it! He is the BEST!

Description of Work: I have a small (about 900 square feet) 1 1/2 story bungalow. I was looking for a company that steams ice dams, but as this company was highly recommended by another company I thought I would give them a try even though they do not use a steamer. I got an immediate response to my call and was told there was a crew finishing up another job and they could get me in today. They arrived within 1 1/2 hours of my initial call to the company. They arrived about 3:15 and were done by about 4:35. I had written down 230/hour, but was told later that it's $65 per person per hour and it was a 5 person crew rather than 4. (They must round up to the nearest 1/2 hour.) I am pleased to have the ice removed. Have not yet walked around the house to look it over. I see that they did remove the snow from my front and back steps. Next time I will ask more specifics about pricing. I did send an email requesting verification of pricing but did not receive a response before the work began. (It all happened very fast.) I'm very pleased to have the work done so quickly and before it warms up again.

When I told him that I would not be using his company, he asked for feed back from me, which I thought was a very conscientious thing to do. I didn't have any negative feed back for him, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new roof.

+ -1 moreThey were very responsive. We set up an appointment right away, and he called to let us know when to expect the bid and how much it was in case we wanted to book right away. Fall sounds like a busy season for roofing, so they were booking out a couple of weeks. We didn't end up going with this company because they were more expensive than the contractor we selected, but I wish we had because it's been a month and we are STILL waiting for the other contractor to get started.
Description of Work: We called for an estimate to replace a leaking roof over our front porch.

+ -1 moreCharlie was a pleasure to work with. He came out to our home promptly, and did a very thorough assessment of our existing roof. He noted several areas that could be improved, and provided the install at an extremely reasonable price. I know that he has left our roofing system in better condition now than it was after our last re-roofing (improved drip edge details, quality flashing work, etc.) We are still in the process of negotiating siding replacement for our home, and Charlie is being very helpful in that regard. I have no qualms referring him to others who are in need of home contracting services. Extremely professional service. Quality workmanship. Punctual. The workers did a good job of cleaning up after themselves, leaving very little debris after the tear off and re-roofing was complete.
Description of Work: Charlie and his crew did a complete re-roofing of my home after a hail storm severely damaged our roof.

Description of Work: Snow and ice removal from roof. Had a crew of three plus supervisor. shoveled snow and ice off roof, careful not to add anymore to my deck, as requested. Did a great job. Also clean up was great shoveled my porches, and used a snow blower for the driveway. Even cleared the path I had for my mailman.

+ -1 moreCharlie was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. The work was done promptly. Clean-up, however, was lousy with debris spread across my yard and my neighbor's, and we are still finding nails. Charlie sent some out out to go through the yard again for nails, but just yesterday my housemate found another one, this time in the tire of his bike! I don't know if this is normal, but it sure is frustrating.
Description of Work: Tear off existing roof, provide decking and re roofing. Installed an attic fan. Needing the decking was a costly surprise, adding to an originally low price, but I guess there was no way to know that ahead of time and include in the price.

He did exactly what he said he'd do at a very fair price, and always left the jobsite neat as a pin. He's very creative when it comes to solving problems, and every person on his crew is reliable and polite.
Description of Work: Charlie put up interior drywall, built stairs, put up a wood ceiling, installed windows and doors, and laid wood flooring.

He takes pride in his work and in the skills of his workers and seems to seek out and keep excellent people, not just whoever he can hire for the lowest cost. His workers were very pleasant to deal with. They even showed us what was wrong with the roof (problems due to a previous roofing job).

THEY PROVIDED A COMPLETE BID AND WERE ABLE TO SCHEDULE OUR WORK WITHIN DAYS OF THE BID BEING ACCEPTED. CHARLIE'S CREW WAS ALWAYS ON TIME AND VERY TIDY. WE HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND IT WAS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO ME THAT THERE NOT BE ANY ROOFING NAILS IN OUR YARD. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF REMOVING THE DEBRIS FROM OUR YARD. CHARLIE OFFERED US VARIOUS CHOICES AND WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO IDENTIFY A WIDER SIDING PLANK THAT WE THOUGHT WOULD BE MORE CONDUCIVE TO THE STYLE OF OUR HOME.
