Plunkett's Pest Control

The tech came and sprayed. The wasps were so bad before the treatment my dogs wouldn't go out. Only required one treatment.

I had a yellow jacket wasp nest inside a small gap in the exterior of my house, above a basement window. The spot was very difficult to reach with a spray and I had little success in killing the wasps, so I called in the professionals. Plunkett's used a powder to spray into the small access area. Two treatments were necessary to eliminate the nest. The first treatment seemed to do the job, but the nest was somewhat active again after about a week. The second treatment finished the job. Pat, the technician to visited the house, was diligent in checking back and making sure everything was OK. In addition to the treatments, Pat stopped by to check on the nest a few days after each treatment. There were no extra charges for the return visits.

Very pleased with service. I tried to live with the bees and let them be, but they started crawling on our patio and I have young children and a dog. I wanted to avoid the dog or daughter from finding their nest and getting stung. Easy to make appointment. Technician showed up within two hour window as promised and took care of bees and also walked perimeter of the house to take care of wasp nests under eaves. Technician was very professional and knowledgeable. Also 90 day guarantee on services so technician said should I see any more of the bees to give them a call and they'd come back out and spray again.

Great! Polite, knowledgeable representative came out. Diagnosed the problem and fixed it, or so it seems at this point about three weeks later.

Ken does a great job. He has helped solve an ant problem in our kitchen that our previous company could not. He comes by several times during the summer to help with the bees/wasps. Ken is a very nice, dependable guy that I feel comfortable having in my house. He really seems to know his stuff!!

Kim arrived exactly on time and quickly dispatched the hornets and their nest. He shot the hornets with a spray hornet killer, then used a telescoping pole to knock the nest down. He told me it'd take a day or so for the remaining hornets to abandon the nest, or die. He was correct.

Have had an ongoing problem with roaches in one area of our house. We've had other companies treat the area, but haven't been able to get rid of them completely. Plunkett's rep, Julie K. Came when she said she would, called to give an updated arrival time, twice. Assessed the situation when she arrived and where she thought they were coming from. Actually called in to see if Plunketts had or was treating the apartment building right next to our house. She treated the whole area in several ways, explained what she was doing, and what to expect and told me to check in, in about three weeks. I was quoted a flat rate over the phone (which was reasonable), but she charged me about half that because it was a relatively small area that needed to be treated. This is a problem that's been making me crazy, and she was very nice about it and thorough in her assessment, so that was very helpful.

They are very polite. They wear foot covers in the house. They send a post card to inform of service. They leave the house clean. We have used them for ten years.

They did an outstanding job of providing us with someone after their normal business hours. Their price was reasonable also. Do not remember cost.

We have been using Plunkett's for over 3 years for our pest control. Jerry performs our service. He is both friendly and professional. We are always notified by mail when he will come for a routine visit. For the times that we've needed assistance items outside the routine visits (i.e. wasps, chipmunks, mice), I have been able to have service within a couple of days.

Jason with Plunketts came out every couple weeks to check the traps throughout the house. Also set out bait and sealed up entry points throughout the house. He was very thorough in his explanation of pests, and how they enter the house. Also sprayed the interior basement and exterior of the house for insects and we had much fewer centipedes, spiders and beetles in the basement this year. Jason has since left the company and we now have James. He is good as well, but doesn't give us much notice before his visits. He usually calls within a few hours of planning a visit, which isn't too much of a problem since I work nearby and my husband has a home office. But a day or two advance notice would be nice. They are always very good about removing or covering their shoes when coming in and out of the house. We have 2 cats and they were very careful about where they used baits, and when they sprayed in the basement.

In May 2006, Plunkett's came to my condo to help me get rid of a plaguing tiny brown (grease) ant problem. Ants were everywhere in my condo. Plunkett's not only sprayed a chemical treatment, both inside and out, but they put out dual purpose bait stations. They even agreed to leave me the remainder of the baits from the bag so that I could change them when they were depleted. Ants gradually went away, and I have been ant free since. I found the Plunkett's tech, Jack Flaherty, to be very helpful, accommodating, and very knowledgeable about pest control. I will utilize this company again, not just because they are on retainer with my condo association, but because I think they are THE BEST!

Plunkett's Pest Control had a timely response to my request. They were willing to send a technician to my townhouse immediately. However, due to my work schedule, I delayed the visit for a few days. Mike was courteous and professional. He explained the process of removing the hornets nest and controlling mice. I appreciated his high-quality work and thoroughness. I would definitely use Plunkett's again for future pest control needs.

I called Plunketts around noon on Wednesday to ask if they did that kind of work. I explained that we had already had one bee sting in getting to our car. The customer service representative who took my call was very helpful in answering my questions and told me she would try to have someone out within a few days. At 4:00 that afternoon, Brian Schroeder came by and treated the hive. He did an excellent job. We were very pleased with their work and responsiveness.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PLUNKETT HAS BEEN EXTREMELY POSITIVE. RON, OUR PEST CONTROLLER, IS VERY FRIENDLY AND CAREFUL. HE MAKES EXTRA EFFORT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE JOB IS COMPLETE. HE CARES ABOUT HIS JOB AND IT SHOWS WITH HIS WORK.

I DIDNT HAVE THE WORK DONE BECAUSE THE FIRST SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT WAS MISSED BECAUSE THE MAN WHO WAS COMING OUT WROTE DOWN THE WRONG TIME, THE SECOND APPOINTMENT WAS MISSED BECAUSE OF RAIN, AND THE THIRD APPOINTMENT COULDNT BE KEPT BECAUSE THE MAN WHO WAS GOING TO SPRAY WAS INJURED. SO IT WAS A COMEDY OF ERRORS, NOTHING MORE. EVERYONE AT PLUNKETTS WAS POLITE, TRYING TO MAKE THIS RIGHT BY ME, AND VERY CONSCIOUS OF THE FACT THAT THIS HAD NOT GONE WELL FOR ME. BUT, I WOULD CALL THEM AGAIN. MY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM WASNT NEGATIVE, JUST NOT COMPLETE!

PROMPT, ON TIME, AND EXCELLENT SERVICE. RECOMMENDED THE MOST REASONABLE AND INEXPENSIVE COURSE OF ACTION.

TIM GAVE ME SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHERE THE BUGS CAME FROM AND WHAT TO DO IF I WANTED TO TRY EXTERMINATING THEM MYSELF. I DECIDED TO HAVE HIM COME BACK TO SPRAY, WHICH HE DID. THERE WERE A FEW BUGS OFF AND ON AFTER HE SPRAYED, BUT I THINK AFTER ABOUT A MONTH THEY'RE GONE. I THOUGHT IT WAS A BIT EXPENSIVE FOR THE AMOUNT OF TIME HE SPENT ACTUALLY SPRAYING, BUT HE DID MAKE TWO TRIPS. HE DIDN'T ARRIVE FOR THE SECOND APPOINTMENT AS HE HAD WRITTEN DOWN THE WRONG DAY, BUT WAS VERY APOLOGETIC WHEN HE DID COME BACK.

SCOTT WAS VERY EFFICIENT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE IN TAKING CARE OF THIS PROBLEM FOR US. HE MADE A SECOND APPOINTMENT BEFORE HE LEFT OUR HOUSE. AFTER HE CHECKED THE RESULTS ON HIS RETURN VISIT, HE MADE AN APPT. TO COME A THIRD TIME. I GREATLY APPRECIATE HIS CONSCIENTIOUS HELP AND FOLLOW-UP VISITS. WE HAVE A ONE-YEAR CONTRACT SO I AM HOPEFUL THAT WE WONT HAVE THE PROBLEM OF MICE AGAIN. I WISH I DIDNT HAVE TO RATE THE PRICE NOW. IT WILL BE A IF WE DONT HAVE MICE IN THE FUTURE.

HE WAS ON TIME AND NOT BAD AT ALL. HE IS STILL MONITORING OUR SITUATION. IT COST $260 FOR THE INITIAL EVALUATION AND CANVASSING TREATMENT AND $320 FOR THE 18 MONTH MONITORING. HE WAS VERY EDUCATIONAL TOO.

WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH PLUNKETTS. THEY CAME ON TIME, HONESTLY ASSESSED (AND SEEMED TO FIX) OUR CENTIPEDE PROBLEM, AND HAD A VERY REASONABLE RATE FOR A YEARLY CONTRACT (WHICH WE WENT WITH). THEY DID NOT HARD SELL AT ALL, WHICH WE APPRECIATED. WE WERE MOST IMPRESSED WHEN WE FIRST CALLED, AS THE RECEPTIONIST(?) WAS VERY FAMILIAR WITH DIFFERENT PESTS AND ABLE TO VERY INTELLIGENTLY DISCUSS AND ASSESS OUR PROBLEM. KUDOS TO PLUNKETTS FOR TRAINING ITS PHONE STAFF -- THAT CONVINCED US TO USE YOUR COMPANY. WE ENCOURAGE ANYONE LOOKING FOR PEST CONTROL TO CONSIDER (AND USE) PLUNKETTS.
