About us

ScoopyPoo, DoggyDoo PickUp started many years ago when during family dinners, many a conversation revolved around suggesting, cajoling and demanding that the young boys of the house should pick up dog poop in the backyard. After all, the dogs did “officially” belong to these young boys. Bribes didn’t work and the final statement of “we don’t do dog poop” eventually led to another conversation between Sonja and her husband. Starting as a joke, on its way to becoming a challenge, the light bulb went off in Sonja’s head. The thought that this crappy situation was not unique to her household and that many other dog owning families were going through the same painful poo pickup process, a concept was conceived. Inspired by her years in the financial industry, and years as an over zealous volunteer she started a DoggyDoo PickUp Service that was unlike any other. Founded on the basis of providing excellent customer service, guided by a business plan and infused with lots of humor—–ScoopyPoo was born, tried, tweaked and successfully launched in 2002. Sonja’s boys (who shall remain nameless) were thoroughly embarrassed and reluctant to acknowledge ScoopyPoo as a business. Today, ScoopyPoo is a thriving business for Sonja as the GrandPooPaw, and their many part time Scoopers. The nameless boys have grown up and accept what their mother does and sometimes show a glimmer of pride. But they still don’t scoop the poop in their own backyard. Some things will never change!

Description of Work: I had several, four or five, phone conversations with this company. They could not give me a specific time/date appointment for their services and wanted me to give them credit card information before they would come to the house. My yard is fenced and the gates are locked so I needed to be home for their service. I finally told them, after two weeks of phone calls, that I did not want them to come. This was a very unsatisfactory interaction. I would not consider them again and would not recommend this company.

They told us they could do just a one time clean up but they offered us a really good package. They do their initial visit and then come out once a week for 4 weeks afterwards, which we decided to go with. Every time they came out they left treats for the dogs. When I talked to them on the phone they were always very nice and pleasant to talk to. They were very responsive as well. When I told them there was one little area they were missing and the next time they were out they made sure to pay attention to that area. The approximate cost listed is for a week for two dogs.
Description of Work: We had the dogs going outside in my fenced yard all winter long. In the spring we had Scoop Poo come out to help clean up.

EXTREMELY THOROUGH. They came on time. Even though I had picked up quite a bit over the winter, they really cleaned up the yard. I certainly would recommend them to anyone with dogs.

We love the service. Sonja and the scoopers are great. We live out of their normal area however they make the trip out to our place to keep everything cleaned up. They do a great job. The yard is scooped well and they take pride in the service they provide. We look forward to coming home and finding a large bag ready to be thrown in the garbage. We also get a treat bag for the humans and dogs as further confirmation that they were out. We had used a different service before Scoopy Poo but they kept missing poos. Scoopy Poo really gets the job done. We are very happy with the service and the price. We're looking forward to having them get more clients in our area. However even with the $5 extra distance charge we feel we are getting a fair price for the quality of work done. We've been using their service for a couple of months and have no plans to stop.

We have been using Scoopy Poo for a few months now and think they are great. We would still pick up our yard a little this summer so my daughter could play, but are really looking forward to this winter. No more trying to chip the poo out of the snow! And no more spring snow melt mess!

ALTHOUGH UNUSUAL WORK, THE COMPANY IS VERY PROFESSIONAL & SHOW UP ON TIME. WILL COME WEEKLY FOR $12 A WEEK. CUSTOMER CAN CANCEL AT ANY TIME, NO LONG TERM COMMITMENT.
