E AND THE ATITTUDE THAT I WAS IN NEED AND A CUSTOERTHE 1 INCH BLIN D IS 30 YEARS OLD AND BECAME INOPERABLE. i CONTACTED SEVERAL SOURCES IN THE TWIN CITIES AND THEY ALL WANTED TO SELL ME A NEW BLIND. I CALLED BLIND INSTALLATIONS AND WAS ASKED TO BRING THE BLIND IN WHICH I DID. THEY SAID I WOULD BE CALLED WHEN JON COMPLETED AND I EXPLAINED THIS BLIND WAS FOR OUR BEDROOM WINDOWND WAS MUCH NEEDED. THE NEXT DAY A CALL SAID THE BLIND WAS REPAIRED. I APPRECIATED THE QUICK RESPONSE. i FELT THAT THIS COMPANY CARES ABOUT THE CUSTOMER AND DID A GREAT JOB. IN ADDITION WHEN I PAID THE BILL I USED $20.00BILLS JUST OBTAINTED FROM AN ATM. THE YOUNG MAN WHO WAS ASSISTING LEFT TO WRITE UP A RECIEPT AND RETURNED AND HANDED ME BACK A $20.00 BILL. THE BILLS HAD STUCK TOGETHER. I WAS IMPRESSEDTHENKS TO THIS COMPANY.

It was fantastic! Jeff was on time, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He asked for photos of the broken clips and mechanisms before he came to the house to be sure he'd have the correct materials to make the repairs. He provided cost estimates and explanations before he began the work and made suggestions on how to avoid future damage and breakage. it's hard to find someone who will repair a blind rather than try to sell you a new one. We were recommended to Blind Installation and Repair by the company we were purchasing our blinds through. They first came out for an initial visit to measure our windows and determine the best way to mount the blinds on our rather large loft-style windows. The two techs were professional and quick. They sent the measurements to the blinds company directly and handled all the technical details like the mounting hardware and getting the valances cut to fit. After the blinds arrived they sent a tech out to mount and install them. Our giant windows were a bit of a challenge but over about 3 hours he did an excellent job getting the hardware installed and the blinds themselves in place. The tech said he had decades of experience with blinds and I believe it! One of the blinds panels turned out to be measured incorrectly (some sort of minor snafu by the guys from the first visit). The company was very apologetic about the error and made all the arrangements to get a new correctly sized panel cut and rushed to us. While ideally it wouldn't have been an issue I think they handled it about as best as they could have.

They were great--reasonable price and worked efficiently and explained how to take care of the blinds,and how to remove from the housing if I ever need to take down. Would use again in a flash.

Blind Installation and Repair did a wonderful job installing blinds I had ordered on the internet. The service was prompt, the work well done and I am very pleased with the work. I would highly recommend.

I e-mailed the company after their regular working hours and I received an immediate response that someone would contact me the next day. Early the next morning I received a call from a company representative. He explained the terms, prices and how to remove the blind from the window if I wanted to bring it in as opposed to having it picked up. I took the blind in and it was successfully repaired within two days. All of the staff I came in contact with was courteous and professional.

A very nice woman on the phone described to me how to take the blind down. This saved me about $60 for them to come out and do it for me. I brought the blind in late in the afternoon on a Thursday and was told it would take and quot;two business days.and quot; But the next morning, before I had even left for work, they called and said that the blind was ready! They also rummaged through their workshop to find the extra breakaway tassels for me. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Everything went perfectly. They came right away and the job was done professionally. I would definitely call them for any future issues and I would recommend them highly.

Older Hunter Douglas Duette blinds will need to be restrung from time to time. I have had several fail in the past year, two this spring. I am so glad that I found Blind Installation and Repair, as I used to take the blinds to a blind store that would farm out the work and take two weeks to complete the job. Now, I just go to the Blind Repair shop and get the work done usually in a day and for less money. The shop is an easy drive right off of I-94. Everyone of the people I've dealt with there are A+, from the owner to the repair guys to the receptionist. They are a joy to do business with!

Both repairmen where very professional and got right to work, finishing within 30 minutes. The slider the fixed was initially thought to need a part, but when he looked at it and realized it just needed to be and quot;moved over,and quot; he did it for free.

When I brought the shades into the shop, one was well-behaved and went up-and-down just fine for the estimator. He wondered if I wanted it redone anyway. It was a bit like the ca r that doesn't make a sound for the mechanic. I was grateful that the Blind installation people were thorough, but had them redo each anyway. They were quick, thorough, and did a great job. We wondered why we had waited to get the job done. The shop was easy to get to, off the freeway, and the employees seem to have each been there for years and were congenial with each other and customers.

What a great Company! We had three heavy wooden blinds that needed repair. Steve and company came out to our house and knew exactly what needed to be done. All of the work was done quickly right in the area. There was no way that my husband or I would know how to remove the heavy blind for shop repair. Having the repairs done right in our home was wonderful! I will not hesitate to call Blind Installation and Repair again if we have new blinds or need other blind repairs..........and I will recommend this company to my family and friends.

I dropped off the shade just after 7:00 am on my way to work. They do the repairs on site and had the work completed within 2 hours. I picked it up the next day on my way to work and reinstalled it that evening. It is working great! The price was reasonable AND the turnaround fantastic - who wants to be without the shade for their bedroom window that faces the neighbor's house? My prior experiences with shade repairs meant I had to wait 1-2 WEEKS for the shade to be sent out for repair and returned. Note, the building you enter is definitely a workshop/staging area for their installation services, but the guys know what they are doing and were able to get right on the work. Can't thank them enough.

Our wooden blinds in our kitchen were not properly operating. I called and spoke to Mike and explained the problem. He made some suggestion on how to further diagnose the problem and possibly repair it on our own since this would save us the trip charge and repair costs. His information made perfect sense, and I was able to repair the blind myself. I am very impressed with their honest business approach. If we ever need blind related services in the future I know exactly who to call. I think others should as well.

I called Blind Installation and Repair, Inc. to see if they repaired Levelor cellular shades. I spoke with Todd who told me they repaired blinds in-house and did not send them to the manufacturer (most other companies send them to the manufacturer and automatically charge you $65). He told me to drive over and he would take a look at the blind to see if they could repair it. When I got there, Todd was very personable and remembered speaking with me on the phone. We briefly discussed the issue I was having with my blind and he immediately began to troubleshoot the problem and removed several shims placed in the header by the manufacturer. Once the shims were removed, the blind opened and closed properly with no issues. I asked Todd how much I owed him and he said there was no charge..."since the blind wasn't broken, they didn't need to fix it". I was shocked at the fact that Todd was able to repair my blind in less than 10 minutes and didn't charge me a cent. I most definitely will use Blind Installation and Repair, Inc. in the future for any of my future window treatment needs. I also have been referring them to all my friends! Hands down, this was the best customer service experience I've encountered in years.

I brought the shades to the store for repair. The clutch was $30, the 4 cllips were $10, and the cleaning of the shades was $30. The shades work great and the new clips are far superior to the old ones. The shades were sent out for cleaning and not done by blind installation and repair. It took about 3 weeks to get the shade back, but this long turnover was due to the cleaning not the repair. Very satisified. The cleaning was decent, not perfect, but I was warned of that ahead of time. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

One of three strings that control the top down feature on our blinds broke. Besides being unable to properly lower the blinds, the top portion was askew. We saw Blind Installation and Repair, Inc. driving through our new neighborhood. We checked Angie's List and decided to take our blinds there. We stopped there on a Wednesday to explain our problem. The gentleman who helped us told us he could repair it and the cost would be $15/string and he would have to replace all 3 strings. We asked him how to remove the blinds. He showed us an example of the holder and the screw that needed to be loosened to remove the blinds. We brought the blinds in later that Wednesday and he said, because of the Labor Day holiday, he was unsure if the blinds would be ready on Friday or Monday. On Monday, we received a call that the blinds were ready. They did a wonderful job!

I have Hunter Douglas Duett blinds, with three cords each for raising and lowering, and the cords will break. I have now taken two blinds (in the last three years) to Blind Installation and Repair for restringing, and each time the blind has been repaired promptly and the latest one now runs more smoothly than when new. The company recommends that the blind be brought in (if you can get it down and put it back up yourself), otherwise travel distance and time must be charged, but it is well worth the trip. They have also been so good as to advise me about broken tassels (replace them) lengthening, and the actual mechanics of re-installation. (My blinds were not initially installed by Hunter Douglas, so some instructions were lacking.)

I dropped them off and they were done in the morning, just in time for the hot sun.

We were a little late getting there, so they stayed open for us. It was very nice. He saw the problem; one of the strings had broken. He wasn't able to find a replacement part because of the brand we had, which wasn't very well made. So, after trying several options, he actually glued the string together. Then, he also replaced the up and down pulls with a wand, which made it much easier for us. It only took them about 4 days to complete, including looking for all the replacement parts which weren't available. We are very happy and would definitely recommend them and use them again.
