I contracted TRS builders to replace a 3 sided hip roof, and install soffit, fascia, and gutters on a building that I own in Uptown. I chose TRS because their guy, Robert Radman was smart when estimating the materials for the roof. He squared off the triangles in the corners to come up with the number of squares needed to complete the roofing job. I have a flat roof in the back that connects to the 3-sided hip roof and wanted a better transition between the two. No problem, he said. At the back of the flat roof I need some step flashing redone. He said he could take care of that too. I received the estimate on August 20th, 2019. He built in pricing for decking on the estimate which was good because we ended up needing it. All of that was fine. We signed the contract on August 29th, 2019 and I paid them half of the agreed amount to get things started. The roof was scheduled for the week of September 10th. It got pushed back to the 16th due to rain. The soffit and fascia were on a timeline as the city wanted me to replace it by a certain date so he sent a crew out to take care of that first. They walked around the building and then stated that since it was lightly raining, they were going to wait a bit before starting. Rob called me up a few hours later and said his crew quit on him and that the job wouldn't be getting done in time for the city inspection. The roofing crew came the next week and they did a good job on the 3 sided hip roof, even building a little culvert to divert the rain around the chimney on the 3 sided hip roof. They did nothing with the transition to the flat roof or the step flashing for the chimney on the flat roof. Rob said he would get them back out there to take care of it. He got a different crew out to do the soffit and fascia on Monday, September 23rd, 2019. They came out and got it installed that day. They did tear off one shingle and bent back several more shingles of the new roof when using the ladder jacks but they blackjacked it back into place and I signed off on that portion of it. Last was the gutters. He scheduled a crew to come out on Monday October 7, 2019. I came home that evening to a lack of gutters. I sent him a message and was told I was notified this morning that due to the fact that he can't use a ladder on the south side, he can't do the gutters. I mentioned it Raymond and I'm waiting to hear back regarding what he plans to do. Ugh.. he said he was gonna do the north side and the front but didn't want to leave the job unfinished. He also said the guy was looking to get some pump jacks for the south side. I told Rob that I had pump jacks and scaffolding at the house and offered to let them use the scaffolding. That probably would have added a few hours to the job and everything would have been fine. On October 22nd 2019 I received the following message: I have attached the final invoice. We couldn't get our gutter crew to install the gutters. We even had another gutter company come bid it out as we were going to subcontract the work since we couldn't accommodate, and we were turned away by them as well. I have remove the charges from these line items. As far as the chimney on the flat roof, I'm being told that due to the fact it's on the flat roof, they cannot replace the flashing as we do not specialize in the installation of membrane roofs. I have removed this from the invoice as well showing just the 1 chimney we flashed. Very sorry for the inconvenience on these items!! Please let me know if you have any questions. I have now paid them for the work that they have done but am extremely dissatisfied with the outcome of this project.

We had our front side cedar siding replaced with premium composite, also fascia and soffits. The quality workmanship was excellent. Rob was excellent and thorough. The only negative would be daily clean-up by workers and to have one central work area for cutting metals and siding.

We got a very competitive quote from Raymond Strantz with TRS Builders. He seemed quite knowledgeable about roofing so we hired TRS to tear-off and re-shingle our older house in Minneapolis. The roof has some challenging conditions with steep slopes, a stucco dormer, brick chimney, valleys, etc.. I asked Raymond to quote Owens Corning hail resistant shingles, which was not the usual brand TRS provides but they did a very nice job installing them. I recommended Raymond and TRS to a couple in Burnsville and they also were very pleased with the service (which included working with their homeowner's insurance) and quality of workmanship.

TRS quoted residing of house to be done approximately 10 days after start of project. Took 3 months due to misordering of product-which is reason for 3 rating. Quality of work done and communication with workers was very good.

Ty replaced the missing siding and repaired other areas of concern he noticed. He also shared the mistakes made on the initial installation that will likely cause additional problems and provided prevention tips for both siding and gutters. I have every confidence in his integrity and I will surely consider him for future projects.

Typical minor issues came up during the project and Robert stayed on top of everything, providing great communication throughout. Very happy with how everything looks.

Did a very good job the only thing I could really say is communicating with TRS is difficult. Their crew worked really hard and did an excellent clean up when finished

I just had a small repair job but they treated us very well and it was done on a timely basis.

Raymond was very quick to respond to give me a quote. was on time and did a nice job on the roof. price and quality of shingle used very good.

Troy was fantastic. He was the first to contact me on 8/1/19. He scheduled the work for he next day. He came right on time and finished the work quickly and expertly. It was such a small project of reattaching some siding that I was surprised Troy would want to do it. He definitely rates a 5.0 in every way. We would definitely hire him again and would definitely recommend him.

They did a great job

It was a small job but TRS was very responsive. I was happy with the price, the schedule, the work and their clean up afterward - good follow up too. I would definitely use TRS again - they did a great job!!

My siding project was a small project and other companies would not consider taking on the job. TRS did a great job with replacing the siding and gutters on the north side of my garage and adding leaf guards to the gutters on the front side of my house.

This company is very responsive and does good work. They get the job done when they say they're going to.
