The appt. was scheduled to start at 9am. About that time Tami called and said the cleaner would arrive late, probably around 10am. I appreciated this phone call and did not have a problem with the time change. The cleaner arrived around 10:30 with her own cleaning products, as agreed upon. I stated that I would be home with my three children all day, and that she would have to work around us. No problem she stated. She had two pages of notes from Tami describing some of the likes/dislikes, of what I had wanted performed. The cleaner was actively cleaning the entire time she spent at my home, about 2-3 hours. I paid in full with check when the cleaner had finished. Upon reviewing the home after the cleaner had left, I was extremely disappointed in the overall clean of my home. All the details of cleaning appeared to be glazed over, and nothing appeared to have a deep clean look to it. Picture frames on the wall were not dusted on the top of the frame. Glass in the living room mirror was dusty on top and the glass surface was streaky. Booster seats at the table for the children to sit on during meals were not wiped off. The laundry room was not touched, although I had specifically asked to have the tub sink cleaned out and the washer/dryer wiped down. The microwave was not cleaned inside. The wood kitchen table was left streaky, and the chairs were poorly wiped down, leaving behind streaks and milk spots. In the master bedroom, a small stepstool was not moved to the side so she could vacume under it. The lines from the vacume clearly showed that she had just went around this lightweight stool. Would you like me to continue...? I have used another home cleaning service in the past, and was trying out Home Maid to see if I was gettting the best deal for my money. I will be returning to my previous cleaning company. Tami called me within 24 hours of the clean to ensure my happines (voicemail was left for me). I returned her call within 24 hours and left her a phone message stating I was unhappy with the clean, and would not be using her services again. I did not get a response from Tami at this time. Approximately one week later I called Tami again, (voice mail message left for her), stating I was unhappy with the clean, that I would like to discuss this with her, and would she return my phone call within the day. As of writing this report (about three hours after my last call), she has not returned my phone call. I would not use this cleaner again I would not recommend this cleaner to anyone I will be asking Tami for a "redo" clean at no extra charge, or to recive one half of my money back due to the poor performance. 1-14-2011 - FOLLOW UP TO ABOVE REPORT - After speaking with Tami on the telephone, she expressed that my home cleaning was not up to her standards. She stated the person (her personal friend as well) that had cleaned my home had been released of her responsibilities. Tami refunded me half of my original cleaning cost. I found this solution to be acceptable.
