Description of Work: We've used Victory for oil changes, recommendation for brand of tires, and full inspection of our power steering, brakes, suspension, etc. They provide quality service and thorough work. They did not find something wrong in order to charge us. Quite the contrary. When they didn't find anything wrong despite working on the car for the entire day. They didn't charge us anything. Integrity.

Description of Work: Adjusted Belts and did an end-to-end car inspection for a long trip. Work was done quickly and completed as promised. Nice checklist completed for all items inspected. Was able to adjust the belts instead of suggesting replacement - good to build trust with a new customer. Smooth process.

Description of Work: I am hoping that our experience is just a fluke, but we had some sort of transmission failure on our 2001 Volvo V70 XC around 10:30 on a Saturday. Toby scheduled an appointment for noon. We were told that the vehicle was no longer drivable. We told Toby that my wife uses the vehicle for her work on a daily basis and we would like the lowest cost options to fix the car right away. Toby told us that all of his suppliers were closed and that he would check on our options first thing on Monday and call us as soon as he found out what our options were so we could get it back as quickly as possible. Our highest cost option would be to install a remanufactured transmission at $4477. He parked our vehicle outside for the weekend. I called Monday afternoon to find out the status of our Volvo and what our options were - spoke with Jordan at 3:30 in the afternoon and was told that the car was still sitting there and may need some transmission work and two tires (clearly nothing was done about it all day). I asked to talk with Toby and was told that he had to help the manager at Fridley for the entire day. I asked to have Toby personally give me a call regarding all of our options and why he didn't call me as he stated he would. Instead, Jordan left me a message at 4:07 stating that he called around to all of their suppliers and our only option was to have the transmission that is in our vehicle rebuilt. He didn't state how soon we could have it if we had them do the work. Toby did not call me anytime about the vehicle or why we decided to have it towed to a different facility Tuesday afternoon. Part of why we were going to have the work done at Victory was that they are highly rated by Angie's List and our first impressions were that Toby would help us quickly, the best way possible. We have had some mechanics recently tell us what they seem to think we want to hear in order to get our business. Along with the transmission rebuild, there has been over $6800 worth of repairs and maintenance on a vehicle that was checked out by a mechanic with over 20 years of experience five months ago when we purchased it. This is the most comfortable money pit that we have ever owned - I really didn't expect another house payment to own an "excellent car".

Description of Work: We had been experiencing some odd performance with the power steering in our 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. We were referred to Victory by a friend. They were meticulous in checking every possible cause, test driving it numerous times trying to recreate the problem and making sure the vehicle was safe. they were professional and kind. The integrity of the business was well presented in the care of our vehicle but also Toby the manager. He was wonderful. A breath of fresh air in customer service. Despite all the time and energy they invested in our vehicle, the only charged us a shop fee and we had a coupon as well. Beyond reasonable price for the confidence we have in them.

Description of Work: I purchased a coupon from Living Social for oil change and tire rotation. They did a fine job. They did great with explaining what was going on and with their follow up.

Description of Work: The service was great. They had great pricing and did a great job.

Description of Work: I knew I needed rear brakes on my 99 Ranger and had a previous estimate of $450. I went to Excel Auto, reffered by a friend. They inspected my brakes and confirmed I needed rear brake shoes. They had an estimate of $183. Of coarse I had the work done, then explained my previous estimate. They told me it was a fair estimate if I actually needed what they said I needed. All I can say is, do the math. I trust these guys.
