The service went very well. The did a great job. When they were installing the first blind in my bedroom it had a separation and they immediately took it back and ordered a new one and brought that out. I got the extender poles so you can reach up. I'm a 5 ft person, so reaching high you really need to be able to. They go from the bottom up or the top down. I have sleep apnea and that was one of the factors that really improved my sleep was having the blinds that went dark. Even now after I've really got on a good schedule if I don't close them at night the light coming through in the morning really makes a difference. It really makes a big difference. They sat down with me. They were very knowledgeable when I had a question. I wasn't sure what color. The person who came out to help me pick them out was very knowledgeable. He knew what I should pick based on the color the room was painted or the texture. I was very impressed. These blinds are guaranteed for life. It is very good quality.

The service was professional and I'm very pleased with the results.

The fabric I chose for the first set of draperies caused multiple problems as it simply would not hang straight at the hem. It was a new fabric he’d not used before, so neither of us was expecting problems. After several re-do’s, Michael came to the house with a representative of the workroom and an interior designer to find a solution. I ended up choosing a different, more expensive, fabric as a substitution and was given that at the same price as the original. This problem was not of Michael’s making, but he “owned" it until a satisfactory solution was found. Highly recommended for quality of product and professionalism.

Everything was handled with professionalism. They were very helpful, responsive to my questions and prompt. The work product was excellent and looked as good as I'd hoped!

The workmanship was fine, the sales rep very helpful. However, the installer was disrespectful and had a negative attitude about doing the work for us. I suspect there was a problem around ethnicity.

They charged me more than the big deal price. They could have given me a better product. The window blinds that were installed weren't installed well the first time so they came back and reinstalled it. And after that, it still isn't proper and I have it on my doors. What happens is that you do it for privacy but it doesn't fit just right, it sits on a bit of a slant. This means that there's a bit of a gap at the front door window. I've tried calling Michael Esch back, I've left messages but I haven't heard back from them. They should ensure the quality of their product. I definitely needed those blinds. They were punctual, had good communication but the product wasn't good.

Install went great and the blinds are just what I wanted and needed in my home office. This is the second time I have used this company and they have been professional and efficient each time.

Perfectly. After the first blinds looked too yellow and dingy, they replaced them with white blinds at no extra charge.

Came out as scheduled for the measurements. Went over samples of shades and gave his opinion regarding color. Came back when blinds were ready and quickly installed them. Probably a little pricey for one window shade but they look good and work well - have had no problems.

After an initial miscommunication, they were very prompt and helpful. The work was well done and we are pleased with the result.

Pretty good! The service was lengthy, it took a while to get the actual job done because I assumed they were very busy and the selection was limited. Those would be the only two criticisms and they are pretty minor. I would say overall we were okay with it. The price was very affordable. It took time for it all to come together and partly because we did a number of rooms.

They did great work and we love the blinds. It was quite a bit of work and I spent more than I was thinking about. I spent $800. The salesperson came and he showed us different layers and different styles for the kids room that we needed it for. We talked through colors and he gave me some ideas. The guy who came to install them was great and quick. So I was very pleased with the service and I would use them again. I have no bad things to say.

I chose this company because of an Angie's Deal, but I thought that they would offer me design advice. I am a pathetic interior designer and was hoping for some assistance. I would say that I didn't quite get what I wanted with that. I may have been asking for too much from this provider and should have gone with a straight up interior decorator. I thought perhaps this route may be cheaper, however, it was more expensive than I thought it would be. However, their installation process and team was exceptional. I had tested all of the blinds before the crew left and noticed that one was not working. They confirmed and were genuinely apologetic. They refused to take any more money until they installed a working blind. They also worked around my schedule, were very fast and clean. My advice is if you know what you want exactly and you did a price comparison and this company is comparable, use them because their installation customer service is great.

Overall, it could not have gone better. The staff were terrific. The price was right. We are going to have the rest of our blinds replaced next year, and they will be the ones we call to do the job.

New blinds are energy efficient and easy to operate. One was discovered to be defective at installation and was immediately reordered and installed.

The consultant, Mindy, was very easy to work with. I had 2 projects in mind, one a single large window, the other 4 smaller windows. Mindy knew I would probably go forward with only one of the projects but she spent over an hour with me, discussing the different options for both projects and even making suggestions on a future projects. When it was time to sign for the final order, Mindy came to my workplace so I didn't have to take off from work. Mindy told me it would take about 4 weeks for the factory to complete my order--Thanksgiving week. The installer, Bill, called on the Friday after thanksgiving, I just happened to be home that day and he was able to come out that afternoon to install the blind. He was punctual and worked very fast--done in 15 minutes. I have seen other reviews that this provider was very expensive but I did not find them so. Mindy explained that these blinds were made by Hunter-Douglas especially for Custom Drapery. I did a lot of shopping around and these blinds were cheaper than Hunter-Douglas first line, and very similar price to other companies that had their own store brand. I found the phone communication a little confusing---there were a couple e-mail exchanges about getting together, then I called the listed number for Custom Drapery and they didn't know who I was--they had to check who my consultant would be. It seems like deals on Angie's List are handled differently from the standard customers. Then, when I called Custom Drapery to check on the status of my blind the Monday before Thanksgiving, I was told that the installer had it and would be contacting me when he was ready. It would be nice if there was one person to call with the order information.

It worked out fine. They were very nice, came out and measured for what I needed. The quality was very good. The installers found something wrong with the original shade and they took it back with no questions asked. The whole process was honest.

The product was nice, but very expensive. However, I feel like this is what you will pay for quality window treatments. I had to contact them myself afterwards since I never heard back with a final price or to see if I wanted to purchase. Product was to be delivered in about 6 weeks, and again I never heard from them, so had to contact them again. Very friendly on the phone, but for price and having to do most of the work myself, we wont' be using them again.

The roman shade was not installed correctly, glass showing at the bottom of the window, my husband fixed it. One of the three honeycomb shades does not fit properly, is 1/4-1/2" too small for the window. Looks bad. But Karen Clark said that it was measured correctly and even though I showed her it was not the right width, she denied that it was done poorly and I guess though I thought they were going to replace it, but it looks like they are not going to because it is already November 2nd and no one has called us to say the new shade is in. Karen left here making me think they intended on replacing the one that was not measured correctly. They promised to guarantee customer satisfaction. They are black out shades and light comes in around the window now. Not satisfied, I could have done better installing them on my own and making sure they were correctly measured and/or cut.

Well, this may have been naivete on my part, but when I installed blinds $20 years earlier, it wasn't all that expensive. I had expected to be able to put new blinds on all of my windows, two upstairs bedroom windows for the $250.00 voucher I bought. But I was in for some sticker shock. To put double blinds downstairs would have been $32 more than the voucher, so I settled for one large blind - which is beautiful, functional and very professionally installed. But I left nearly $70 on the voucher because it would have been prohibitively, for me, expensive to have done the upstairs windows too. What I got is beautiful, high quality and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company for those looking for high end window treatments. But for those of us on a tighter budget they are a bit out of reach financially. No complaints about the work or quality of the blinds or the installation, all of that was perfect, only the pricing was more than I could afford.

The sales representative was prompt and thorough, bringing a good supply of options and samples. She made the choice easy. The installer was quick and very polite. The end result was exactly what I was looking for!
