CHAMPION GARAGE DOORS

Have had some garage problems in past and replace a few things on my own, wanted to get a professional to come take a look and make sure all was good. Technician said the door was old but in good shape, so he preformed the maintenance and tune up, had a few suggestions that i declined, but was not pressured in any way. Would recommend and will use again if i have garage door problems.

They called me promptly. I was given a 2 hour window that they would come. They were there at the very end of that time frame. The work was done quickly and they gave me an estimate prior to starting. They also reattached the track to the wall which I hadn't even mentioned. The garage door now runs much smoother and quieter. I am very pleased with the work and would call them again.

The gentleman was very nice and offered alternate service. I was not surprised. My Big Deal $99.00 was refunded.

The provider did an excellent job and repaired the garage door back to the way it was. I also had him inspect and do some minor maintenance with a single garage door. He was on time and I was very happy with his service.

Signed up for the garage door tuneup. After the winter, the door was operating quite rough. The spring wasn't tight, the tracks were somewhat bent and the piece that locked the door wouldn't fit into the bracket without effort. The door now works better than ever.

Scheduling was easy; they came when they said they would. Their inspection found a broken coil spring, which they showed to us before replacing. Replacement was quick. We checked the cost of parts (later) and found that their charges were very fair. Their guarantee is for 5 years. We were very satisfied and would recommend their services.

Replaced the springs, cables and bottom seal. Door no longer slams down on the cement when closing. No longer jerks when going up or down. Great job - much better than previous contractor.

When they arrived I was having trouble with the door opening on it's own. Some one in the neighborhood had the same frequency as mine. The opener was old and it needed to be replaced. They came out the next day and put in a new opener. They arrived on time both days, were courteous and friendly. They were honest about the problems I was going to have with my old opener and the dangers if presented due to being out of date.

Provider called to set up appointment and we agreed to a date the following week. Provider called at 8:30am the day of service, as discussed, to set up a two hour time frame. This may be an issue for working folks but I never asked for a different appointment setup because I am home all day. I don't know if the time can be pre-arranged prior to the day of the appointment. We agreed to a 9am-11am window and Rob showed up shortly after 9am. After lifting the garage door manually he immediately knew that there were issues with the door. During the scheduled tuneup I asked and he explained what he was doing and what steps I should take each year to keep the garage door working smoothly. After the tuneup Rob explained that the rollers and the bearings were wearing out and that's why the opener was working so hard lift the door. He didn't try to hard sell the needed repairs, which I appreciated, but he did quote me a price when I asked. Rob proceeded to replace the bearings and the rollers rather quickly even though there is not a lot of room to work in my garage. I appreciated Rob's promptness, professionalism and his pleasant demeanor.

Good! Guy came on time, got work done quickly, and offered a quote for future work without sales pressure.

I waited, and waited, and no contact. I then emailed Angie's List, and waited for another 2 days until I got any response. Finally, I got a message from the company, via your site, to contact them and set up an appointment. I did, and the company told me that they could only give me a 2 hour service window, from 2-4PM, which wouldn't work for me. I needed something from 3PM or later, I didn't care when after that time period. I was told that they couldn't do that, and that the big deal said as much. I certainly didn't recall reading that, but it's certainly possible that it was in the fine print somewhere. At that point, I cancelled the appointment altogether, and proceeded to contact Angie's list for a refund. Rather than just asking what the issues was and doing an immediate refund, your company instead makes me fill out this form, rather than just rebating my card. The whole thing has let a bad taste in my mouth for the Angie's List corporation, just very disappointed in what I perceive to be a bad reaction on your part to my experience. I doubt that I'll do any more business with you, or recommend your service in the future.

I'm happy with the work done. They were timely, answered all questions, gave helpful advice. My garage door opens, so, quietly now.

It went very well, I watched for awhile but realized that it was not necessary to "supervise." My garage was cleaner after they were done then when they started. A very good job.

I called a few members on Angie's List to receive approximate timing and cost. I called the company that installed the door and they wanted to charge one price for one spring, an additional $25 for two springs. Not replacing both springs would be just waiting for the original spring to break in the near future. I called Champion at 10:00 this morning and they quoted me the price for everything (which was close to the original company's one spring price) AND I received a $20 Angie's List coupon discount. I talked with Mindy at the office and she set me up with an appointment a few hours later as I had other appointments this morning myself. She called again to see if the technician could come earlier if possible and I made arrangements. She called again to say the job the technician was on ended up taking more time and the timing worked out perfectly with my schedule. I was called by the technician on his timing and if it would work for me. Rob arrived on time and took care of the springs and lubricated all the hinges at no charge. He cleaned up and took the old springs with him. Rob was friendly and efficient. I would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to others.

The technician was pleasant and prompt, seemed competent. I don't know much about garage door mechanisms so can't speak to details. The door had been making noise and lurching a bit on opening. It works better after the visit.

Very satisfied as I ended up replacing the door vs repairing it. They were prompt with replacement, very professional and the door looks so much better.

I had purchased a tuneup but my doors were too old and worn out to even do a tune up. Therfore I dad them give me a bid for two new doors. When the doors arrived ,it only took them a couple of hours to install the new doors. Nice job and the doors are much better than the old doors.

Service provided was done on time and in-line with budget given. Technician was helpful, courteous and cheerful.

Excellent.....Technician was early, extremely nice, knowledgeable, helpful and fast. I am very satisfied with the service and will use them again. Highly recommend them (And garage doors are much quieter now)

Champion technician arrived at planned time.Inspected door lubricated and found one roller needed replacement.Also suggested replacing gasket seal along bottom.Had all recommended work done while technician was there.Work was done quickly and professionally.Courtesy and cleanliness were their watch words.

After having terrible service by a company called Garage Door Services (GDS) I waited months before gathering the strength to call another company to repair both my broken garage doors. I was just too bruised by the cheating company GDS, that wanted to bleed over $1,200 from me to repair the doors. They had been to my place three times and each time they left me with even more problems than I had before. Champion was a completely different story. They were honest and really strived to do only what I needed at a great price. I highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again!! Please, please stay away from GDS - they're a bunch of crooks who will milk you dry!
