Description of Work: I had a tune-up. I received a call indicating when they would show up and they were on the early end of the time given, which was nice. The tune-up went well, but most helpful, the technician walked through each of the checkpoints with me to show me what was working and what should be fixed. He explained various options of varying cost which would address my issues. He also explained the importance of various parts of the garage door system and preventative measures to take in the future to ensure a long life for the door. Extremely well-informed technician. No pressure to buy additional services and like I said various solutions to address my garage door issues.

Description of Work: Made adjustments on 2 garage doors, added new rollers to the main door, added new rubber stripping to the bottom of both garage doors, lubricated everything. Champion did a great job at a good price. I would recommend them and will use them again in the future if additional garage door/opener work is needed.

Description of Work: They make the initial visit to complete the project that we had paid for. It was then suggested that we have some additional work done. A new garage door motor and a new seal for the garage door. Both were almost 20 years old. This work was done and everything is working like new. The only issue I had with them, was returning my phone calls. The Technician was great, the work was done quickly and thoroughly explained to us and we would definitely recommend | them and use them again.

Description of Work: I had a tune up coupon because the chain was getting loose. Apparently, my garage door open is like 25 years old, and tightening the chain would put pressure on the plastic gear. He told me this and convinced me to squeeze out more use and replace when it is actually broken. I appreciated this. Thanks

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for a garage door tuneup! What I got was them trying to scare me into purchasing a new garage door. The repair person made it sound like the cables and other parts of the door would break very soon and I should replace part or all of the door. He conveniently had alread written up an estimate for $1200 to replace the door and all parts! We are 6+ weeks out and my garage door is still working fine. After they left I called another contractor and he was honest with me and assured me that whatever breaks can be fixed without replacing the entire door! | |I am disappointed that Angie's list allows companies to use the tune up card to try and scare people into something they probably don't need! | |My faith in Angie's list deals is not very high!

Based on the inspection at the time of your tune up your bottom section, tracks, rollers, and one of your cables were rusted. We NEVER pressure or "scare" our customers in to buying anything. Our trained techs with many years of experience gave you a recommendation of what they would do if that were their own door. We can not predict on when rusted material will break. Given the different parts that are eroding on your door the tech is simply telling you that the cost to repair your existing rusty door is possible to do, but for a little more money in the end you will have a new door that will last many, many years.

Description of Work: A lot of contacting and voicemails because they don't answer the phone. Then the guy came out and said we don't have the right seal for our garage and it would cost more money. Not interested. He recommended requesting a refund from Angie's List and left.
