Description of Work: They came out to do the $39 garage door tuneup special. He checked out the door , rollers and opener. There was a problemwith one of the photo eyes for the door when it descends. He replaced it for $100 and checked it out. Later, my wife tried to open the garage door and it would not work. We had to disconnect the door from the opener and use it manually. I called the company back. The same repair person came out late the next day and replaced a mounting bracket for the photo eye that was not holding, and re-checked everything. It has been fine since.

Description of Work: Replaced spring, repaired garage door opener, replaced rollers, replaced weather stripping. I was stranded in the house due to a broken spring, and they were there within 30 minutes of my call! The tech replaced the spring and repaired the garage door opener that was broken when the spring snapped, in addition to doing preventative maintenance on rollers and showed me what to look for to know when to call for cable replacement. Awesome service!

Response from CHAMPION GARAGE DOORS
Your service for the tune up was done in September of 2014, almost 9 months ago. The tune up consists of a 21 point inspection, minor adjustments, lubricating and balancing the door. The tech that was out there did all of those things and also made the recommendation to you that made most sense based on the condition of your door. If you were pay to fix everything on your existing door there would not be much of a price difference for you to get a new door. The recommendations are part of the service that is provided with the tune up. There is never any obligation, it is just information from an expert in the field and you can decide what to do to best fit your needs.

Description of Work: My garage door kept reversing back up. I've tried to adjust it several times but always seems to have problems again within a couple of months. Joel was prompt to contact me (I was overseas at the time so this was especially great!), and the service was performed within a few days. Has worked fine ever since. I would definitely call Champion again if needed.
