We were very satisfied with the work that they did for me. They were friendly. They treated me very well. They did a great job. The original type of floor that was recommended for my basement didn't end up working out so they used different material and it ended up being cheaper then they estimated. They were not the highest priced but they were not the lowest either.

Small kitchen with 20 year old vinyl flooring. Moved appliances into living room. Removed old flooring and sub flooring. Put in new 1/4 inch subfloor and marmoleum over two days time. Excellent job cutting around cupboards and finishing off all edges, replacing some badly worn molding. Also finished off a floor edge around a new cabinet which was worth the whole price of admission. Excellent results. Love my floor!

They have a great show room with lots of choices, low-key salesman was very helpful. Later the installer mentioned that it was a great company to work for, and they sent the installers to installation workshops and did on-going training. The installation process took longer than we anticipated, but there was a lot of work involved. We love the floors, and found the company was easy to work with, no monkey-business, and we got what we bargained for. We would use them again. Only thing we had a problem with was when they sanded the smoothing compound and kicked up a LOT of dust throughout the house. If we had known we would have covered the furniture and carpeting.

I have to wait a little bit for the work to be done but when I do I will contact them. Mike the estimator, was very courteous and knowledgable. They showed up on time and called before hand to make sure we were home.

Although it was a small job, they did everything right. This was a messy job, with all the dust that was created with the cutting. He did the best he could to contain it, apologized profusely and cleaned up as much as he could before he left. He was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

They were really nice to work with when I was picking out flooring/carpeting allowing me to take samples home and keep them as long as I needed and giving good advice when I asked for help. When it came to writing the contracts up, they were a little slow in getting the information to me and returning phone calls, but I wasn't in a hurry, and I'm persistent in following up with them, so that was OK. They were priced right, and so I hired them to not only install the products I bought from them, but also to install the cabinets I bought elsewhere. The work was done on the schedule they promised. All of the installers were VERY friendly, professional, and easy to work with. They did not arrive on time each day (usually a little late), but they did finish the job "on schedule" (with only a little panic towards the end), but as long as the job got done, and done right. I was OK with that. They were perfectionists in their installation which I appreciated. They even cleaned up after themselves pretty good every night. There were no major errors or problems during the construction which was pleasantly surprising. The only issue I had was at the end when they gave me the final bill. They tried to charge me for things that shouldn't have been separate charges and overcharge me for one item. Also, the floor vents that they were suppose to custom order never came in, and they wanted me to settle for something less than I ordered. They were willing to remove the "extra" charges, keep the vents and not charge me for them, so I conceded in paying extra for the plumbing (which I think I still shouldn't have had to do) but I did in the "spirit of compromise." All in all, they were helpful when I was picking out the products, they were good to work with during the installation, the work is perfect, just watch them on the final bill.

They arrived on time, worked efficiently, were pleasant, and did excellent work fitting the tile in tight places. The finished floor was costly, but beautiful.

They did a beautiful job. I cannot see where any of the seams are. They even lifted the radiator to make sure they layed the flooring underneath. They were very punctual, and I appreciated that. I would use them again in the future and have already recommended them to others.

They cleaned up everything when they were done. They were very helpful at helping us find what we should use. They showed up on time to the work. They were very courteous when they were there.

We could not have been more pleased with this water damaged linoleum removal and new installation.

I thought I set up the appointment for 3 but he came around 11am. We rescheduled for today at noon. His estimate was much higher than another I received and he told me I would have to go to Bloomington to view any samples. I would have been much happier if he had brought samples to my home like another provider did. Also, he told me there would be asbestos under my existing flooring if we did a tear up.

Visited showroom where we were greeted warmly and all questions answered. Gave us brochures and samples to take home. Estimator, when requested, came as scheduled and after measurement provided estimates on three different products as requested. Installers came on schedule, did a wonderful, professional job and finished on schedule.

I attempted to contact Bloomington Linoleum and Carpet via the email address given on Angie's List. They also have a link to a website on the list. After perusing the web site in the evening I decided to send an email to request that someone call me the next day to schedule an appointment for an estimate on flooring for four rooms of our house. I used the email to contact them because it was after business hours when I wrote and my day time hours are very busy. They offered the email address as a point of contact. I never heard back from the company. I admit it is possible they didn't get my email, but it didn't bounce back to me. That is why I am giving an overall rating of C rather than something lower.

I went to their shop where I met Tom Joing. He was pleasant enough and suggested setting an appointment for a couple of days later to see my place and provide an estimate. He arrived on time for the appointment, but came into my home with an attitude, almost as if he was angry about something! Compared to others that had provided estimates, he had to ask me if my existing floors were pre-finished (they were not) and then grumbled about how that made the job more difficult! After collecting information, he said he would get me a proposal. I asked when I could expect it and he said he was busy and there was the July 4th holiday, so it would be a week before he could mail it. I asked for it to be emailed so I could get it quicker. I waited two weeks and did not receive it. When I called he said he had put it in the mail (it arrived post marked the day I called him to check on it), and that he "wasn't into email." Tom never followed up at all on his proposal.

Appointment was kept, Bruce was prompt. No estimate was received for the work we wanted done.

The repair man missed his first appointment but after we spoke to "Kelly" at the store, a second work time was set up for the next day. Rick (the repair man) was very courteous and professional. The nature of the job required "wait time" between steps. Because of this, Rick actually made three trips (counting the first one when he estimated the cost of the job). The repair was successful and hopefully will prevent more serious damage to a pretty old floor. All things considered, we felt the cost was very reasonable. When the time comes, we will certainly consider working with this company again.

A very smooth and pleasant experience from Amy's assistance during our visit to the showroom through Don's excellent completion of the job. Don was exceptionally efficient, professional and enjoyable to have in our home. We would certainly recommend BL&C to anyone.

We initially had an estimate done, but ended up having more work performed. For the estimate and the work, the service man was punctual. The service man made sure to set proper expectations regarding the difference between the old and new carpet when patching. In the end, we were very pleased. We did notice the difference, but it was superior to the spotted carpet. They had matched the hole of the patched carpet perfectly.

The day that I called BL&C inquiring about floor installation, Tom, one of their salesmen came over to our home to discuss it in person. He told me that he would get back to me in a few days with an estimate. The next day, Tom called with a price within $100 of another company I was considering. I chose to go with them based on his attitude, attentiveness, and the many great reviews on this site. They were always here on time, usually 10 minutes early and worked without any break until they were finished with each part of the job (5 days -- removal, heating units, thinset, tiling then grouting). Tom promptly responded to each question I had and oversaw the entire project coming by every time a step was completed. There were several things on my end (death in family, contractor delays etc...)that delayed the project, but each time BL&C worked around them without fuss.

Company did an excellent job in helping us create unique flooring design and did a great job with installation. Most of the staff were comfortable and familiar with this relatively new product, but some were not and that is our only source of complaint. Overall, very good experience and we would hire them again.

Experience overall was very good. Didn't receive a lot of help in initially selecting carpet at showroom, however the lack of pressure was refreshing and salesman did answer all questions. Estimate was set up and accomplished quickly. Installation was very positive experience - installers were on time, worked very quickly and did an outstanding job. Carpet is very beautiful. Pricing was a little higher than some other places but experience has taught us to be willing to spend more for this type of investment.

In-store assistance in selecting the flooring was very helpful. An in-home estimate was prompt and professional. The flooring was put in with extra attention and care. The work was neat and done efficiently. I am very pleased with my new floor and with my experience with all the company people I had contact with. They are very professional, helpful and friendly.
