Description of Work: Inquired about a quote, came out and didn't hear back it seemed like until he noticed he left a tool case behind (at least over a week later). Emailed about the case and asked if we were still interested in a quote, I said yes. Emailed the quote which was close but then we decided to use another contractor. I emailed him back exactly that and then he wanted to know why we didn't choose him. I didn't feel an explanation was necessary. He then showed up at my house for his case and demanding a reason why we didn't choose him! Very unprofessional and made the situation uncomfortable!

Nice guy. No follow-through.
Description of Work: Bob was very friendly and on time on a Saturday afternoon for an estimate to remove some windows and install a small bay window. Unfortunately, he never sent us a quote. He'd told us he had a week-long job coming up. On Wednesday, I called him to ask for a quote because he'd told us he would email it by Wednesday. He never returned my call. Now that we know the bay window isn't able to be installed, it's too bad he didn't just say so when he was out. That was one of 5 windows. Because he never sent us a quote or told us about the bay window, and because he never returned our call, we wll not use him in the future. That's just not professional.

Bob came out for an estimate the same day I called. Work began the following Monday. The work was completed in a timely manner. He was courteous and very tolerant of children and pets.
Description of Work: Bob installed porcelain tile in my laundry room after the old floor was damaged due to a washer leak. Additionally, he installed new cabinets, sink, painted the walls and added a box unit for the washer to drain. Bob suggested affordable options without sacrificing quality.
Our experience with Bob and Steve was excellent. We started the project in the middle of November, 2010 and completed it at the beginning of January, 2011. Bob and Steve had a great disposition. We have a large German Sheppard, which can be quite loud and demanding of attention. Bob and Steve played with him, let him outside… Just like they were part of our family. It was a lengthy stretch of time during the construction but I believe that we got along quite well. There were a couple of misunderstandings regarding the bathroom floor but Bob tried to find a fair solution for both. In particular, the most costly to him was the pattern which I wanted on the floor. When we had talked prior to starting (and me buying the tiles) I had chosen a herringbone pattern. As Bob was beginning the work (about a month later) he confirmed that the pattern was “brick” and me not thinking about it agreed… until I saw the actual one on the floor laid out and cemented! It was a very hard decision… I tried to make a “deal” with him regarding painting the ceiling a second time, and I would keep the brick pattern. Bob and Steve pulled all the work that they had done, cleaned the tiles, and re-laid the pattern as we had originally agreed. He lost a day of work, which I did not pay, and still painted my ceiling three times! This is one example that Bob is an individual with integrity and has the customer’s satisfaction as his priority. The linear drain in the shower was a challenge that turned out great! Bob researched on what to do and asked the assistance of a friend to make sure things went smoothly. We had to make a couple of adjustments as the he discovered the existing structure in the floor but was always willing to find a solution to the unexpected problems (which we had plenty). I want to highlight the willingness to keep me satisfied. Any little adjustment I wanted made or fixing any items that they didn’t notices were not correct, were done, as soon as possible without any push back. Bob and Steve had general knowledge in all areas, and they complemented each other well. Bob worked on the mirror frame (he built it, stained it and hung it) until the color and graining matched as close as possible to our existing cherry cabinets. This was a great surprised because it looks so good and it really changed the look of the bathroom. They were always cheerful and joked around. We were not concerned leaving them at home; they had their keys and they came and go as they needed. The project took a little more than anticipated due to some unexpected problems, additions we made and delay of some of the materials (I ordered all materials). The only item I might suggest to improvement is to control the dust and debris in the no-immediate working areas. Truly, I think they did the best they could considering that they were working in the garage and they had to go up two flights of stairs and work out next to our bedroom, which we were still using. They put runners and coverings on the carpet, stairs, and wood foor. I’m not sure if this is the difference between someone very neat and someone not so neat… Overall, it was a very good experience. Finally, I want to mention the experience I had while we were consulting with different contractors and going through the quoting process. Residential Resurrections was not the lowest bidder (actually was the highest) because I think Bob had included such an amount of detail in his quote that it was very comprehensive. There were no questions or unknowns. Plus, the presentation was by far the most professional out of the other three contacts I had. As the project progressed, Bob would provide me with a “progress report,” which related back to the initial quote. I know exactly what was added, what was deleted, what he purchased, etc. Very transparent; excellent communication. In the initial interview, Bob was very helpful at suggesting alternatives to the areas I was unclear about. He didn’t try to “sell” me anything that I didn’t initiate. He explained that he uses Schluter-DITRA in all his tiling projects; that it increases the cost due to labor and material but that he felt it provides a better result. He gave me the option not to use the Schluter-DITRA but that it wasn’t what he preferred. My husband and I were impressed by this. Among other things, it was what closed the deal. One more thing, we’re DirectBuy members. I purchased almost all the items (sinks, faucets, shower components, tiles, toilet, lighting fixture, hardware). Bob did not have an issue with this circumstance (other contractors weren’t so open to it).
Description of Work: Residential Resurrections is owned by Bob Bagnall with the assistance of Steve. Bob and Steve completely remodeled our master bath. Our bath is a medium size bath with two compartments (main and toilet, separated by swing door). The main portion of the bath has cathedral ceilings (about 14 ft high) and a sky light. 1. Removed old ceramic floor. Repaired and improved sub floor prior to installing new. 2. Demo old shower stall (ceramic tile walls, plastic standard base, double sliding doors and frame). 3. Removed wall paper. 4. Demo all old fixtures, countertop, toilet, and lighting. 5. Removed and re-installed cabinets. 6. Installed new porcelain tile floor on a herringbone pattern using Schluter-DITRA membrane. 7. Completely built new shower: a. Fully sealed all walls and floor with Schluter-DITRA/Noble membranes. b. Prepared sub floor and installed linear shower drain (Bob had no previous experience with this type of drain). c. Build new shower floor with curb. Installed porcelain tiles on shower floor d. Installed approximately 70 sq. ft. of glass mosaics on shower walls with glass border. e. Built/installed and tiled shower niche. (Noble pre-made niche.) f. Completed all pluming for shower head, separate hand shower, two volume controls and one temperature valve. 8. Painted all walls, ceiling (several times because I didn’t like the color), and wood trim. 9. Install two faucets and all necessary plumbing. 10. Install new toilet (skirted design). 11. Installed all new bathroom fixtures. 12. Installed new lighting fixture. 13. Installed new room-to-room fan with humidistat (had to make hole in the wall, make frame, install all controls and wiring, install fan, etc). 14. Dealt with countertop supplier during measurement and installation of new countertop.

The overall service experience was excellent. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: Bob Bagnall had come in to repair one or more broken steps in the carpeted stairway leading to the second floor of my home. He was on time and very professional -- knowledgeable, efficient and thorough. He finished the work well within the estimated time. I would recommend him for any type of interior home improvement that might be required..
They just finished one project and they are going to start another one for me. I liked them so I am going to use them again. They stained the trim and had euro stain on it for me. They supplied and did all the trim 100 percent.
Description of Work: Residential Resurrections redid my bedroom 2 or 3 weeks ago. They removed and replaced all the old trim work. They painted all the walls, reworked my closets, and re-hung all my doors.

Very impressed with their professionalism. They came when scheduled, worked consistently, were willing to take on anything, and did it well. To save money, we did some of the work ourselves, and they were very helpful in telling us how to do things.
Description of Work: We were left in a mess by a former contractor in the middle of re-doing a 1940's house. These people saved the day. They patched holes in the plaster, painted, diagnosed and fixed electrical problems, hung ceiling tile, enclosed a portion of the basement ceiling and added a recessed light fixture, hung doors (new and original with mortise locks), refinished walk-in closets, repaired exterior gates, finished a basement office/entertainment center, finished a front porch makeover, and hauled away rubble and trash.
The job went perfect. He will be back to do my bathroom in 3 weeks.
Description of Work: Repaired a stucco ceiling that was partially put in wrong. He made it a smooth ceiling without having to put in a new one. It looks smooth and new. He put two track lights in the ceiling. Ceiling molding and floor molding. He took up old carpet, put in a laminate floor and painted the walls and ceiling of the room. Basically I got a new room. The price quoted does not include materials. He started and finished on time.
I cannot tell you the total price we paid him for this work, but I can say it was very reasonable and right around what we thought it would be. He is extremely detail oriented and very courteous to us when he comes. He always arrives when he says he is going to and the quality of his work is very exceptional. We considered this man to be a treasure to have found and know that anyone using his talents will feel the same way.
Description of Work: This contractor spent a couple of days putting down tiles for us in the kitchen, first taking the old ones off, then applying the new. Then he did trim work throughout all the windows within our two family house, including sizing, painting and installing the wood. He put in two hall closets for us and then did the weather stripping throughout the house. He spent a good week with us and all the left over material as well as the waste was thrown out by him when he left.
