Ron showed up promptly to assess the problem and provide advice. I've hired him in the past and know I can trust what he says. He suggested removing the two backup pumps that were there (one electrical, one battery), and replacing them with a single water-powered backup. I decided to take the job one step further and have him replace the primary electrical pump as well because of its age. I felt the price he quoted was fair. On the day of the job, Ron showed up with Dominic and another assistant. Ron had to leave for another job, but from my previous experience with Dominic, I knew I was in good hands. As usual, they did fantastic work. The old spaghetti-mess of plumbing is gone, the new plumbing is neat and professional, and both pumps are working flawlessly. I'm sure I could have found a cheaper price, but at what cost? Given the professionalism and quality of work, the price was a bargain. I went through several hack plumbers over the years before finding this one. Now when I have plumbing needs, I just hire Shelby Mechanical and trust that it will be done right. Highly recommended.

Ron was excellent, he came early in the morning remove all the clutter under the sink, fixed he problem cleaned the bottom of the cabinet all within an hour and within the quoted price. He even offered to put the stuff back under the sink. Even though I had no clue, he explained things to me and informed me of the best course of action for some other repairs I thought I needed. I really appreciate service providers who are professional and do not do try to make more money by doing unnecessary work. I would highly recommend this company.

went ok with sumpumb, but the shower leaked and water leaked through the kitchen ceilings and i had to hire someone to fix that. Ron declined responsibilty and said it leaked because of old or defective shower valve, interestingly it was not leaking before he worked on it. also the toilet that he worked on started dripping again. despite my dispute with him i paid him all his money ( more that 3000$) but i will not hire him again. the house was winterized for 4 months and as far as the tub that you could not fix i hired someone else that was able to fix i paid 1925$ as soon as u finish the sumppumb job . it took u a month to fix the toilet. plus i had to fly oversees and u said that was fine i will never hire shelby mechanical again

I had a drain problem and called Ron to address it. He found that the cast-iron drain pipes under the family room, bathroom, and laundry room slab were basically destroyed. It turned into a major renovation project that went well beyond just plumbing, but I secured Ron for all the plumbing work for each step along the way. I have never worked with a more pleasant, competent, and professional contractor in any trade. He promptly returned phone calls, showed up on time, and did quality work. His assistant, Dominic, was equally professional. It's easy to find a cheap price, but I believe if you want quality work, you're not going to find it for less than a fair price. Ron's price was not cheap, but definitely reasonable for the professional results he provided. I will call him (and already have) in a heartbeat for other plumbing needs. Highly recommended.
