Scheduling was a nightmare. In lieu of a walk through Christopher said I could email photos of the items I wanted moved to which he acknowledged receipt. Sometime after that I spoke with Courtney who said they did not receive the pictures. Apparently getting them from Christopher wasn't an option, so I sent them again. She verified via a phone call that she had received them. Kathy's sister and her husband were staying at the condo until August 8. We wanted to move the furniture on August 9, after which it could be deepcleaned and listed. Courtney called me to confirm the date and final cost. A few days later we thought of two more pieces we wanted, so I called again and spoke to Caity who said we were not on the schedule, but she "would figure it out." Turns out that "figuring it out" was confirming that we definitely were not on the schedule and could not be added because that day was full. The earliest availability was on August 24. Michael and Justin were our movers who were scheduled to arrive between 8 and 9 that morning. They arrived at 8:15. They wrapped each piece in heavy padding and then wrapped that in cellophane. They were very professional and courteous. The moving team was awesome. I have nothing but praise for them but, as I said at the beginning of this review, scheduling was a nightmare.

They were amazing! They were patient and kind to my father, very careful with his precious antiques. They moved the furniture around several times and even took a couple of extra trips back to the family home when we discovered his couch wouldn't fit. They took the couch back and picked up a smaller love seat, which turned out to be perfect. Even with all the careful handling and running back and forth, they came in under the estimate, so my dad saved a couple hundred dollars. Wonderful company!
Description of Work: They moved my elderly father into a senior living facilty.

I've used them several times in the past and they're really good and flexible. It was well worth it. We had to change the schedule because of some problems that I had but it went perfect though.
Description of Work: I hired Two Men and a Truck for their services. They did some packing and had to take two separate loads.

The first move I hired them for was a 3 bedroom home to a 1 bedroom apt. For the most part, they did an ok job. It was a difficult move for me emotionally and physically. We contracted them for packing and moving. I did have some glass items broken, which they had packed. It was a four man crew as I recall;, two to pack and two to load and unload. Two of them were experienced and the other two were not, which made for sloppy and slower work. The second move was from a two bedroom apt. to a one bedroom. When I contracted with Two Men and A Truck via phone, it was understood that I had a set amount of money to make the move, so time and organization were factors. The person I spoke with on the phone felt the move could be done in the allotted time and that two experienced movers would be dispatched for the job. 1. The movers showed up late. 2. One of the movers was experienced and the other was needing constant direction from the other one. 3. I reiterated my conversation that I had with the office, noting the need for a timely move. I even told them which two pieces of furniture that needed extra care, as they are antiques and fragile. When the job was complete, I was handed a bill for more than was quoted and agreed upon, because it took them longer? Because it was Sat., I wasn't able to contact the office. I was forced to write a check for the amount they said, knowing that I did not have the total amt. in my account. I called the office on Monday morning and expressed my dissatisfaction, but they were unwilling to accept the agreed upon amount. I ended up have to pay for the move in installments. To make matters worse, one of the two items that I asked be treated gently was damaged, but of course, i did not notice it until I had time to unpack and inspect the items. I had given Two Men and a Truck, the benefit of the doubt after the first move, accepting that it was not an organized move, and hired them again, only to be more dissatisfied than the first time. The concept of Two Men and a Truck is wonderful, but unless they have a better training program, paying particular attention to how people's belongings are handled, they are destined to fail. Granted, this was four years ago, but it soured me from using them in my most recent move.
Description of Work: I have used them twice for local moves.

I was in a panic about moving because of an uncertain closing date and called the day before and they had time open to help me. Employees were very professional and nice and flexible in what was being moved and which location it was going to. And we were having the biggest snow storm of the season to date. A bargain at twice the price

Sorry, I said it all in the above section.
Description of Work: I hired Two Men and a Truck to move my heavy furniture from my house into a storage unit. I had already moved most all small furniture and boxes into the storage unit on my own. I had a lot of shelving and had left space for the remaining few boxes they would move, and had explained that I would direct them as to where to put things in the unit. All went well on the loading part of the day. Not so much once we arrived to the storage unit. They put furniture in front of all the available space for smaller boxes/furniture. This meant that a lot of things ended up being stacked on top of each other when it wasn't necessary and not ideal for the items. My prized piece of furniture was scratched along the edges. When I pointed it out, they simply said it was impossible for this to happen, the scratches were already there. I ask you, how can it be impossible to scratch a piece of furniture when you move it? I have before photos to prove the scratches were not there. One of the young men had a huge chip on his shoulder and did not take well to pointing out possible issues. I wonder if that was from fear of retribution from the boss, possibly being fiscally responsible for any accidents or even job loss? My hutch is not ruined, but it will take several hundred dollars to repair the finish. In the end, the office manager and the business owner ended up coming to look at the hutch. Each time it required that furniture be moved and each time the hutch got another nick. What was comical really was the canned response that both of these people gave, "It is impossible that this could have ever happened." They really need to choose another response, because it is not impossible for an accident to happen and a piece of furniture get damaged when you are in the furniture moving business. Their defense was that they wrapped the furniture, which they did.....round and round, from side to side. The scratches were along the top and bottom edges of the hutch, where it was not protected. As I said, accidents happen. I just really don't appreciate it being suggested that I am a liar, and such canned responses was a laughable, ingenuous way to handle the situation. I can tell you, Two Men and a Truck will not be moving my furniture out of the storage unit.
