First of all, I suggest that you ask for Chad and Joe to undertake any work that you may need. We had an issue matching the brick color to the rest of the chimney. Chad went far beyond the norm to match the replacement brick with the brick of my chimney. We still couldn't come with a close match, so we settled with a solution that made me happy! My recommendation is the company needs to ensure that their dedicated, hardworking, loyal employees have the appropriate materials to ensure an efficacious job. Chad and Joe went beyond what their boss expects to satisfy a customer. Two good ole boys that will work their butts off to make you happy.

My experience went very well. The staff was very professional and friendly while visiting. The pricing was very reasonable and they even gave us a senior discount. I would highly recommend this company to others.

Good start, bad finish. I called about a quote and Charles could make an appointment for the next day. He gave me a quote right on the spot, which was refreshing. We decided to go with them because of the price and professionalism. They got to our job a little quicker than they expected. It was difficult work for sure, started on a Wednesday, and quot;finishedand quot; on a Friday. The bricks we had replaced were on the lowest level of the house and garage. Ken and quot;finishedand quot; on Friday and told me all he needed to do was come back and acid washed. He urged me to pay the company because if they didn't get paid, he didn't get paid. I called the company and paid half. When my husband and I inspected the work on Saturday morning (each evening my husband got home after dark so it was difficult for him to see the progress), he was greatly disappointed. The line of bricks was not strait and not flush with the wall. Also, Ken hadn't properly mortared some of the bricks below a basement windowsill, so much so that the windowsill wiggled a bit! When we talked to him about fixing the bricks he said he would come back on Monday and do it, we could just mark the ones we wanted change. As my husband looked closer he realized he wanted most of the bricks changed, but didn't want to mark them all, just have Ken replace the ones that were out of alignment. Ken must have been overwhelmed by this. When he arrived on Monday he fixed the windowsill, slopped on some cement on the corner of our garage, did a quick acid wash and left. We weren't pleased by this and had a little bit of a run around talking with the company, Charles and Ken. Charles wanted to talk with my husband about the matter and when my husband pressed him, Charles admitted that Ken could have done a better job and got the rows straighter. Ken claimed that it was the best he could do, but the sloppiness of the windowsill and garage corner really made us wonder if he did give the job his all. When I last spoke with Ken he didn't think he could and quot;affordand quot; to finish the job, since we paid half of our $1360 quote, he was wondering if we could settle with that. I told him I didn't think my husband would be pleased with that after his conversation with Charles. Ken told me he would speak with Charles and get back to me the next day. It's been a week since I had that conversation and I haven't heard anything from Best Chimney. All in all they seem like a decent company, though one of the receptionists got a little defensive about Ken when I mentioned the rows weren't straight, but we weren't pleased with the outcome. My husband is particular, but it is a bummer to have a 60 year old home with perfect brickwork and the bottom row not matching up, especially since the main reason we did this job was cosmetic in the first place (replacing brick that had cement in it). My husband also had to carve out some of the cement that Ken slopped on the corner of the garage and we ended up doing another round of acid washing over the entire project. Like I said, good start, poor finish.

Chris was outstanding and very thorough. He invited questions and explained the work step by step. He had a fair price and he was timely.

I decided not to have the work done because of other circumstances, but I called them back and told them I was impressed with their professionalism and how quickly they responded my request for an estimate.

I called for an estimate about 9 a.m. and the secretary said someone would be out between 1 and 3pm At 10:30 am the esitmator called and said he could come now and it was OK with me so he did. He put his ladder up on the roof but did not go up onto the roof to examine the chimneys. Said he could tell they needed new caps and tuck pointing. He wrote up an estimate, was professional. I would consider using them again but went with a company that actually went on roof, took photos for me and gave me two choices on how to fix the issues. Price was not my only deciding factor.

They were excellent. They got here at 10:20 AM and left at 3:00 PM. There were two men here and they were very efficient. They cleaned up all the mess after themselves. They did a great job and their price was very good. We are very happy with it. The furnace now runs better and we will save money on energy. We would recommend them to anyone.

Came right away to provide an estimate. The gentleman was very friendly and polite and honest. When I decided to use their services, they were here as promised the next week and completed the job very quickly. Cleaned up all debris and did a fabulous job.

I called Best Chimney on Wed., 6-27-12; they came out to do an estimate on Thurs., 6-28-12, and then I got called Friday morning, 6-29 at 9 AM that the workers could come at noon and finish up the same day. Sure enough, 2 workers got here at noon and got right to work. We needed the glass block windows removed because there was a leak into the room underneath the porch; so they removed the glass block and replaced it with bricks that they were able to find to match the existing. They did a great job tuck pointing the rest of the holes in the porch. At the side of the house, they tuck pointed all the spots that needed cement and were quite willing to fill in areas that I was finding that I thought needed to be done. They also put in a new chimney flue tile that we didn't have and tuck pointed areas near the chimney. We were very happy with the work and they were done by about 5 PM.

I had used them a number of years ago for chimney problem. They were very quick. Their workers arrived on time. They cleaned up everything. They did a really good job. My overall experience with them was excellent.

They were on time for the quote, described the work in detail and pointed out that because of the age and color and type of brick it may be difficult to find a match. Others who quoted did not mention this. Once started the job foreman spent most of the day traveling around with a few samples of our removed brick to find as close a match as possible. The team worked late, well past dark, and completed the job in one day. The work is excellent and while the brick is slightly different it's not noticeable until pointed out.

I paid them to fix it and it still leaks. I called them back and all they did was patch it for me. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They didn't do a good job of keeping up with their warranty. When I called them, they gave me the run around. They were not responsive. They were punctual before they got their money.

They were prompt and they came when they said. They actually did a visual inspection when they came instead of just talking about it. They seemed to have the best price for fixing it and doing the replacement. We would probably use them again.

The technician arrrived and did a detailed inspection and cleaning of my chimney. I was not at home at the time but my mother in law was. She was impressed with his professionlisim. The technician took several pictures and forwarded them to me via cell phone. He then called me to do a follow up. I arraqnged for the technician to come back while I was home to walk me through what he found during my chimney inspection. The technician arrived on time and gave me a detailed explaination of other repairs he recommends.Allthough the price quoted for the other repairs was in my mind on the high side the company did a good job.

They scheduled the date with me over the phone to do an estimate, and due to high winds , we had to find a proper date when roof work could be done that was convenient to my schedule. We settled on a date in December , which they met and finished in proper time. We were able to get the work done well and get proper documentation for the inspection. They also came back at a later date for additional work we needed done for breakdown and haul away and were very professional and fast.

They did good work and I will use them again in the future.

We called Best Chimney to come out and take a look at our chimney due to water leaking in the basement. After glancing at the chimney for 30 seconds, the worker determined that the entire chimney needed to be reconstructed. Approximate cost? $3,000. When my husband tried to ask questions, the guy was rude and short with him and my husband eventually asked him to leave. He did no inspection of the chimney or looking at the top from the roof and determined we needed thousands of dollars in repair. We received another estimate on the issue and it was determined that the chase cover was rusted out and needed replacing. Cost? $349. Problem was solved after this.

When I called Best Chimney and Roofing (on a Saturday morning), I was told that someone would be out--possibly the same day--but no later than the following business day (Monday). Chris and Chad came out, assessed the problem, informed me in detail why the concrete was pulling away from the structure. Some of the concrete blocks underneath the outer slab had broken and many of the blocks needed to be replaced before the outer concrete slab could be affixed back to the house. I was greatly impressed by the professionalism of these two gentlemen, their knowledge of what was causing the problem, and their recommendation for fixing it. We scheduled to have the work done within a week. Chris and Chad arrived promptly on the scheduled day, worked diligently, even beyond the call, to seal some other spots on nearby areas of the house. The completed work was sturdy, neat and added aesthetic quality to the house. I was very much pleased with their work.

Went great. I called to schedule an appointment and they were able to come out to the house within an hour. They arrived on time. During the inspection they identified the need to install a chimney spark shield. They did not have one in the truck, so they needed to go back to the office. Since I needed to leave the house to return to work, we settled payment before they left and he gave me the completed inspection report. I returned to the house later and the spark screen was installed as promised without any issues.

Super work, clean up after work was done.

I had a new roof put on a rental property and the roofer said I needed chimney work. I looked up chimney companies on Angie's list, called 2 and 1 from a local blue book. Best came in with the best price and was the most responsive. The work was done in a timely fashion and the tree trimmers who looked it over the following day said it looked good. The roofer will return as time permits to inspect the job and Best said if a problem was found they would take care of it promptly.

I went pretty well. They arrived on time and got right to work. The original quote called for replacing only he top sixteen rows of brick but they found it needed more brick replaced and went back to the yard to get 40 more bricks. They did no raise their price because of the additional work which was nice. My only complaint was that they threw the old brick on an already existing pile of bricks in my back yard. I would have liked them to haul away all the old brick rather than ad to my existing mess (which I will have to haul away at some point this summer).

When we had our house inspected prior to buying, the inspector noted that the fireplace damper was stuck and recommended having someone take a look at it. Charles from Best Chimney came out not once but TWICE to look at it: the first time he said he would need to come back with a ladder to take the cap off and look down the chimney, so he came back a week later. Turns out there's nothing wrong with the damper, it just sticks, so Charles didn't even charge me for a service call. Great service!
