I went to Classic Auto based on the reviews on Angies. The reviews were pretty accurate. The guys there were great and they inspected my car to see if anything was wrong. In the end they determined that there wasn't (apparently the manufacturer will cause this light to come on when it is near time for a service checkup) and they did not charge for this inspection. I did have the oil changed while I was there.

They are very friendly and explain things very well. They were on time. They fixed few little things that we did not think they could fix as it was an old car. They did not try to sell anything to us. They did a couple of things that I did not even ask for. Their price is average.

The shop was just wonderful. My son had a brake failure warning on his dashboard and we took it into the dealership. They looked everything over and told us that it was going to cost us three thousand dollars. We found Classic Automotive and brought the car in to see them. They fixed everything for one hundred dollars. It was one broken part when the dealership was claiming that there were many. The gentleman who owns the shop has always taken us on time or in a reasonable amount of time. He truly lives up to his reputation.

It was a complicated repair requiring much labor to complete. Al, the manager, keep me informed of the progress of the repair. I had taken the vehicle to Belle Tire expecting it to be a starter replacement. When they found the damage the referred me to Classic because it needed a shop competent in advanced electrical problems. Such a problem is a potential claim under comprehensive insurance. They reminded me of that fact and even took pictures of the damage for insurance purposes. They printed the photos and gave them to me when I picked up the vehicle.

I was very impressed with Classic Auto. I took the car in and they found that the dealer had not put everything back correctly. They only charged me for the time. They could have told me anything. They fixed the problem and I was on my way.

You have got to read this!! A family relative owns a 5 year old Chevy. Out of the blue his brake lights went on, both the low brake fluid level and the anti-lock warning light. He took his car to a dealship and requested an estimate to fix this problem. The car disappeared into the mechanics area and a service person came out with a report. The repair estimate was for $3,000.00 whiich included replacement of all brake sensors. In reality, this really is a very costly repair, if you need it. My wife and I, seeking a an explanation of this major repair for the car, visited the repair department. A representative said that we could get by with a $500 partial repair. However, the anti-lock brakes would still not work. Then we asked if the dealer could get some relief from GM due to the faulty parts. He said probably not. So far that is still true. At that point I searched Angie's List for a repair person to give me another estimate. We chose "Classic Automotive Repair". At about noon they said sure, that they would look at it in the afternoon. They did, and reported that it involved the replacement of one small brake sensor part. The cost was only $ 101.00 for the whole job. Unbelievable! We had the job done and picked up the car at about 5:30 PM on the same day. Classic could have done the same thing as our Chevy dealership by fattening up the estimate. He didn't! At this time when people can't afford gas, let alone, a $3,000.00 repair bill, Classic came through with an honest estimate, and a timely repair job. As for the dealership, beware!

I went to Classic Automotive based on the reviews that I read here on Angie's List. I didn't have to make an appointment. I dropped off the car, and one of the employees gave me a lift to work down the road. They called when they had assessed everything, and they gave me an estimate on how much it would cost. They had the vehicle ready by mid-afternoon. Overall, I'm very happy with their work. They used a Ford Escape wiper motor and were able to save the money and time it would have taken to get a Mazda motor. They checked the rest of the vehicle for problems, as well. There was only one problem I had with this service. As I was writing this review and looking at the receipt, I realized that they replaced a K & N air filter that is actually supposed to last the lifetime of the vehicle (with regular cleanings). Though the sticker warning them not to replace the filter had fallen off, I would expect them to recognize that the filter was much different than a normal filter.

I have used this company for a long time now, basically bringing in all the cars I own. They are always very detail oriented and never leave you in the dark about what they need to do to help you. The prices are good considering the work they do for me, and I always feel safe in knowing the job is done right the first time. I highly recommend their services and will continue to use only them.

I have been going to Classic Automotive for about ten years and they have always done good work on my cars. I know that they are not going try to push anything on me that I don't need.

I have used this service center over and over because they are very honest and never try to create extra work with my vehicle, just for the sake of making a buck. They do well with fixing mistakes that they make and are always fair to me.

They were very polite and treat senior citizens with a tremendous amount of respect. They even gave me a loaner at no cost. I'd use them again and recommend them to others!
