When I called, I spoke with Mark. I explained the symptoms and he was able to diagnose the problem over the phone. I set up the appointment for the afternoon on a Tuesday. Mark arrived at my house a few minutes before I did and was already working on the opener. He showed me the failed part and explained how it failed. When the opener was fixed, he went to work on the rest of the door. A number of my rollers had lost all of their bearings and were essentially useless. He replaced all of them with nylon rollers. There were also a couple of broken hinges and he replaced those. As he was doing the work he showed me how the installer messed up and reduced the headroom under the door unnecessarily. He offered to come out and fix that if I wanted. I will probably have him back in the spring to do that. The door is practically silent now, and doesn't jerk as it raises and lowers. I'm very happy with the work and the price!

Very professional, punctual, and accommodating. We called Monday and he was able to install it with his crew that Friday. He showed up exactly at the scheduled time and did the job - I didn't even know he was there. Very happy with the service.

One night our garage door would not completely close. We thought it must be a problem with the garage door opener and so we disengaged the door from the opener. We tried to manually close the door but it would not budge, either up or down. The next morning, I looked on Angie's List for a recommendation for a company who repairs garage doors and called Doors, Inc.. I made an appointment for two days later as I was having some surgery the next day. On the designated appointment day, the man called us when he was on his way to our house, which I greatly appreciated. The man who showed up was very professional and nice to deal with. We were very afraid that we might need a whole new door and were afraid of incurring a large expense. The man thoroughly checked over the door and explained very quickly to my husband what the problem was. He showed my husband that there was a broken cable but assured him that he could fix it. He had the materials on his truck and did fix our door quickly. He also gave my husband suggestions on how to take care of our garage door to make it work better and last longer. He also worked neatly and didn't leave any mess behind. He charged us $100 which we felt was very fair. We were happy we were dealing with a company that didn't attempt to cheat or gouge us. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs their help as they were prompt and honest and do good work.

evaluation and repair of two garage doors: I bought a house and have no previous experience with garage doors. The garage doors are 20 years old and are not operating smoothly- jerking motion, squeaky pullies, some of the braces are bent out of shape and the springs have no safety lines (dangerous) The technician came out on a Saturday- which made scheduling much easier for me. He explained all of the systems and outlined my options for repair/ or replacement. He did not try to sell me more than I needed. He repaired the braces, replaced pullies, lubricated the system and installed safety cords on the springs. Doors are working very smoothly now and I will definitely consider this vendor first when I think about replacing the doors in the next years.

It went excellent over all. No problems or complaints, just compliments of a job well done. I'm so happy we had it professionally installed, as compared to do-it-yourself option.

At approximately 10 a.m. I closed the garage door and one of the springs broke. I did a search on Angie's list and found "The Doors" with an A rating, so I gave them a call. They gave me an estimate on the phone and said they could be at my house at about noon. They arrived at 11:45 a.m. and had the door fixed by 12:30 for the price quoted. I would definitively use them again.

Mark was very professional on the phone. He arrived on time and ready to work. He removed/installed a new garage door opener in only 45-min's. Great job. Great personnality. Extremely pleased with his work. I will use Mark again.

The spring broke at 12:30pm. I called the Mark and it was fixed by 2:30. Fast, efficient, and on time. You can't ask for more than that!

I found The Doors thru Angie's list, but was much more impressed with the companies web site. Not for it's flashiness but for it's very plain spoken language, typical recommendations for typical circumstances, and most impressive was pricing. All of their pricing was listed for every possible situation, something I've never seen before with contractors. There were plenty of outstanding reviews for The Doors, but it was the openness of pricing on the web site that sealed the deal for me. He arrived on time and the job was done quickly. The experience lived up to everything the positive reviews had me expecting, and I'll be using them again for reconditioning/winterizing my garage in the fall.

Excellent from start to finish. We bought a foreclosed home so there was no opener in the garage. The Doors Inc. supplied and installed a brand new opener with battery backup for $400. Other companies quoted me the same amount for a lesser model. They arrived on time, did quality work, and even adjusted my garage door for no charge, which was slightly off track. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a new garage door opener.

They came out the next day when I called. The estimate included the 5 percent discount coupon from Angie's List. They scheduled the job at my earliest convenience. The replacement took about two hours to complete. They hauled away the old garage door and old parts and left the area clean. They were friendly and professional and did a very nice job. I am very pleased to have a door that is up to date in style, works well, locks and is brand new. The door is prepainted with a finish coat of paint and gives a fresh look to the garage. I thought the price of 674 including installation and all necessary parts was very reasonable.

Old opener fired by power surge during severe thunder storm. Received replacement estimates over the phone for good quality product and was scheduled for the next day. They were running late but kept me informed. Arrived with all the necessary tools and equipment. Replaced the opener, installed new wireless keypad and adjusted the door. Friendly, professional and efficient.

Mark Layton arrived within the hour and got right to work. He wasn't sure he could fix the door but said he would try his best as I told him I did not afford a new door. Mark got right to work and my friend that was with me mentioned that Mark really knew what he was doing. He got the door working great and even gave me the Angie's List member discount. Hopefully, done in time to meet his wife for dinner. Mark was gracious and very knowledgeable. My experience with The Doors Inc., was great experteise and workmanship. I didn't end up going with this provider due to a scheduling difficulty on my end but was very pleased by the professionalism he exhibited on the phone. I also like the fact that his springs are warrantied for 3 years.

They were very good at what they did. They explained everything. They had an appointment time, where the guy called and apologized because he had to stop by the warehouse. He also told that he wouldn't be here exactly when he promised; but he told he will be 3-4 hours late, however turned up early than he has promised. They were very dependable. I thought they were very good company.

I would give them an A+ rating. They came exactly when they said they'd be here. They didn't waste any time. They had everything they needed to do the repair. They were in and out in 20 or 30 minutes and I was good to go.

A garage door cable broke, and the door could not be opened. I called on a Thursday afternoon, and a three-man crew was here on Friday morning. They completed their work in about an hour or less. Everything was done well.
