I was surprised when I call the company. It was Saturday and didn't expect for anything to be done till the week. The provider said that he could come out in 2 hours a fix the problem. I was impressed for such great reviews that they were so quick. The service took all about 30-40 mins total. He was courteous and informative. Very professional job and he took away the broken parts for disposal. WOW!!

My garage door opener failed. Mark from Doors Inc responded immediately to my call and agreed to come out and evaluate the problem the same day. He explained on the phone it could be a repair or a replacement. Mark showed up on time and diagnosed that an internal replacement nylon gear would take care of the problem; no need to replace the entire unit. Work was completed quickly to a great standard. Mark was polite and friendly; overall great experience. I highly recomend this supplier.

It went well. It took some time to obtain a replacement circuit board as the operator is quite old.

This is my first review I have ever made. These guys are punctual, affordable, and reliable. First company in Ann Arbor I'm truly happy working with. We had a broken garage opener my husband attempted to fix, only to have it come crashing down one day. These guys took care of the problem and also found another hidden problem within one service call. They also lubed and adjusted the second garage within the same service call.

Mark was responsive, punctual, quick, professional and even installed a handle in addition to the springs. The door goes up and down. What more could I ask?

The service provider arrived at the end of the appointment window. He was professional and quick with the repair. He replaced one spring with 2, saying that was how it should have been in the first place. The door works great now, and I expect that the repair will last longer than the original spring since we now have 2 to carry the load.

I came home one Thursday afternoon to find that the garage door spring had broken while I was out, and I was unable to open the door. After seeing the good reviews, I called The Doors Inc to see if they could replace the spring for me. Mark was very helpful, asked some pertinent questions to be sure he knew what type of door and spring he was dealing with, then gave me a reasonable estimate for the repair. It was late enough in the afternoon that I anticipated waiting until the next day for any repair, at the earliest?and the next week at the worst. To my delight, he was able to fit me in that afternoon, despite it being after 3:30 when I called. Mark and his guy arrived at about 5:45 and by 6:15, I had a working door. He replaced my single spring with two springs, explaining that the divided load would be quieter and would also allow me to get the door open if one should fail (unlike the single all-or-nothing spring). I would call The Doors Inc again for help, in a heartbeat. In fact, I plan to contact Mark for a new garage door opener next week. Two thumbs up!

I called at 8:00 am and spoke with Mark. He said he would be out between 1:00 and 3:00 pm that afternoon. He called me at 1:10 and said he'd be here in 20 minutes, and he was. The job went quite well. I'm normally nervous about paying people to do this kind of work, but this was money well spent. The work got done fast. Mark was very prompt and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others. I got a twenty dollar discount from Angie's list which was a nice bonus, but even without a discount, this was affordable and well priced work. It seriously couldn't have been a less stressful home contracting job.

The job was finished in about 20 minutes. I told him on the phone that I had a graduation party to get to. He got here quickly and finished the job in time for us to make the party. Price was good and he was quick and friendly. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Had it fixed in about 20 minutes. Works better now than it did before. Removed one broken spring and replaced it with two. It's quieter now. Great job would use again.

Mark was very pleasant to work with. He called me back the same day, after normal business hours and was able to provide an estimate over the phone. He was able to install in less than 36 hours. The opener works great so far and I am very happy with the service.

Mark was very thorough in his repair of our garage door. We decided to keep the door we currently have (which is likely very very old) since the door was effectively in decent shape except for a small corner that had some rot. The job took much longer than Mark had anticipated, on account of it being much more complicated. Despite this, he finished the job thoroughly and to very high standards. He was also creative in figuring out how to get the top panel to seal against the weather stripping since typical hinges wouldn't work. He was patient in explaining things. I usually feel that Angie's list overates the quality of people - I've had other top-rated Angie's list persons who did not do a thorough job. Mark, however, clearly deserves the top-rated marks he has on Angie's list. One of those rare persons where you can trust the job will be done thoroughly. Highly recommended.

Mark was the best. He diagnosed the problem from my description of the door. He came on time, had the right parts, installed them in less than one hour and charged a reasonable price. The door runs much quieter now with the new springs. It was a pleasure talking to Mark after the job was done. I would recommend Mark Layton to anyone.

Called to set up appointment, was very pleased to learn they have Saturday hours! They were prompt, professional, and trustworthy. Felt like they provided a great service for a fair price, and were honest. Door has worked great ever since!

They provided a quote and stuck to it. The first time I got several quotes and they were very competitive but more responsive than others. I am very pleased.

Mark was professional, curious, and timely.

We have 12' ceilings in a 3 car attached garage. The doors had standard openers, which left the doors hanging mid-air in the center of the garage when open. This results in the lights above the stalls being blocked. We also couldn't stand the look of all the door hardware and openers hanging about 40" from the ceiling. We specified jack shaft openers and for the doors to be as tight to the ceiling as possible. This will allow for the installation of a lift in any bay we choose at a later date and for the doors to open into a pocket at the ceiling so they re hidden when open. Mark came out and made the required measurements and then ordered the custom track, torsion springs and other stuff I don't know the name of. We chose the LiftMaster 8500, which is a bit complex to adjust, but not for Mark and his genius assistant. Mark made good recommendations on improving the door hardware and replacement of the weather strips outside. We agreed and can no longer see daylight around the door opening when the door is closed. The doors are whisper quiet in their operation. Our doors now open perfectly and are less than 12" from the ceiling when fully open. Mark was professional, courteous, punctual, tidy and offered a fair price for outstanding workmanship. We are very pleased with our experience with The Doors, Inc. Overall, one of the best customer service and value for service experiences we have had in a very long time. So, it turns out we have an additional 3 car attached garage on the other side of the house. We didn't hesitate to scheduled Mark to do the same work in these garages as well. He's doing these next week, which will give me another opportunity to offer high praise and acclaim for Mark and his company. I'll include before and after pictures with the review for his next project at our house. : -)

We have a quirky garage door. During the winter mostly, the sensors don't work during thaws and freezes and then starst working when the weather warms up. Anyway, it wasn't working when it was colder this week. Called The Doors on Friday and they came out first thing Sarurday, which was very good of them. However at that time, it warmed up on Friday and by the time he came Saturday morning, it had "fixed itself". He adjusted the force limiter, examined the sensors and lubricated the door. Hopefully, it won't happen again. However, if it "breaks again", which I expect it will, I will call The Doors right away so they can see the problem when it is still happening. For the visit, he didn't charge us anything, which was very nice of him. Will call them when the problem does occur again. Sigh...not due to the service but to the nature of our problem with our garage door. Maybe it was the fear of the approaching garage door service truck that fixed the problem. (Kidding)

Mark was very courteous when I called to make the appointment and came out the same day. He was professional and cordial and made the repair quickly. I would call him again if need be and will recommend him to others.
