Michael from Advatange Blinds came to the house.He explained the different types of window treatments that would compliment the interior of the house and provide privacy.We settled on wooden shutters.The day Michael came to install the shutters he was a total perfectionist. If a shutter was off by a fraction he was not satified so he would modify or rehang the shutter.Michael even took time out from a long day to explain how he was hanging the frames and the shutters.At the end of the day the process was done and everything looked great.

It took about two weeks for the blinds to come in just as Mike said they would. He scheduled the install and arrived right on time. During the installation he noticed a couple of minor problems with one of the blinds (we probably wouldn't have noticed for awhile) and immediately said he'd have to reorder it. Took another two weeks but he came out to complete this install yesterday and everything is perfect. We appreciated his integrity and will do business with him in the future.

It was an excellent experience. Like many others have said, Michael is extremely knowledgable, professional and courteous. He completed the job exactly on the date promised, and the new shutters/shades look great. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

Excellent service - my windows look beautiful!

The experience was very efficient and friendly. Mike, the owner, came and measured and priced our windows. He had multiple samples of all styles and colors, and recommended a quality shade for our windows. When he returned, it took him about and hour and a half to install them on fifteen windows. He worked quickly and even removed the old window treatments for me where needed. He also repaired another blind we had in a bedroom that had a faulty mechanism. He made sure they all worked properly and took the time to show me the tricks to regulating and maintaining them. Quality installer with a quality product!

Michael was pleasant and professional from start to finish and very helpful. My order was too small for installation to be included so we decided that part would be a DIY project. He at first cautioned against the blackout shades because most of his customers do not realize that "blackout" is exactly what it means. I knew that is what I wanted because I've always been bothered by light coming into my bedroom from street lamps and the like. The blackout feature on these shades is very effective and I feel I am getting to sleep and staying asleep better than before. I enjoy the look of the new blinds combined with our old window treatments.My Husband got right on the installation as soon as we got the blinds and it turned out to be an easy task. During installation, however, he accidentally caught up some of the backs of a few cells near the top. We thought at first this was a defect and that some of the cells were stuck together. Once we contacted Michael about this, he very kindly and respectfully suggested the solution to our problem and said he'd never had any manufacturing problems with the brand before. My Husband took a look and was able to clear up the problem right away. Michael was willing to work with us had there been any actual defect, but we are happy that this was not needed. I would contact this business in the future for window treatments.

Extremely professional. Came to survey the house (new construction in Cherry Hill Village of Canton), made suggestions on products -- we went with Hunter-Douglass Sillouette blinds...absolutely gorgeous, expensive but worth it. Provided price quote which was reasonable...included cost of blinds and the installation. Blinds took two weeks to arrive, scheduled installation date which had to be pushed back. They easily accommodated the change in schedule. They arrived on time on the date of installation and went about their work quickly and professionally to include cleaning up behind themselves...left no trash or residue. Highly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again.

Michael was extremely prompt and helpful with our request for window treatments. He spent a significant amount of time discussing potential options for our new home (which had no window treatments in a 3400 sq ft home). He showed us all options in all varieties of style, quality, and price, but he did not pressure us to go with the highest price option. Instead, he actually advised us to go with a lower cost product that had great quality. Relative to other quotes that we received, his prices were far superior. In addition, his in-depth knowledge of window treatments was evident and impressive. Installation of the window treatments was fast, clean and done with high quality. Overall, we were extremely impressed with the service provided!!

It was a pleasant buying experience. Michael brought samples and advice and helped us make a great choice of blinds. I expected this service to be more expensive than Home Depot but it wasn't. My blinds were a custom size and Home Depot can't sell custom blinds cheaply. They are only cheap for in-stock items. Michael was also very reasonable for installation and did a good job.

I found the company on Emily's List. The owner visited and advised me on what he could do. A practical and cheerful man, the ownerhimself came back and installed the shade in a particularly high window, This was done efficiently and without debris. I wiilcontinue to work with this company. I believe this family business to be honest ,thorough and fairly priced. I was very pleased,

Michael came out for an estimate. He was timely and explained my choices and showed me samples. He understood what I was looking for and provided helpful guidance. I felt he knew his product and was very professional. On the installation date, he was again on time and installed the blinds in the estimated time frame. He was very accommodating in scheduling. He had to do "finish carpentry" cutting to mitre the corners of the blinds on one set of windows. I was impressed with all the tools he carried and the skill he needed for my bay window blinds. He was also a very nice person. I strongly recommend using him, even if you might be able to get cheaper blinds (which I can't say is necessarily a good thing). You get what you pay for and with Michael you get a quality product with top of the line installation.

After calling Advantage Blinds, Michael was able to come relatively quickly to our home to show us the various products and measure our windows. He gave us a lot of good information and advice. Before we placed our order he gladly responded to numerous questions over the phone and email. We had two in-home estimates made and Advantage was the cheapest. While we could have gotten blinds for cheaper on the Internet, we had ordered samples from many places and did not think they were of as high of quality as the Hunter Douglas product Michael sells. He also did installation which more than covered any potential savings we would have had. Once the blinds arrived Michael called and set up an installation date. He and his helper quickly installed all of the blinds. They completely cleaned up after themselves. One of the blinds that were sent were wrong, so Michael immediately ordered a replacement and came back to install them as soon as they arrived with no charge to us. It was clear Michael is very knowledgable, takes great pride in his work, has a lot of experience, and keeps up on the latest trends and technology. We have recommended Advantage to our family and already plan to order from him again for one more window.

.I contacted Michael and got a call back very shortly. He came out the next day. He was prompt and I was not. He waited 10 minutes for me and was very gracious about it. I explained I was having a grad party in a few weeks. He assured me they would be in or he would contact me. They came in and were hung efficiently and look beautiful. We hired Advantage after reading the reviews posted on Angie?s List and we were not disappointed. I had my heart set on wood shutters and went with Norman wood shutters with 3 ½? louvers and hidden tilt in a white. Again, we were not disappointed!!!! My husband ?dabbles? in wood working and was impressed with the quality of both the shutters and installation. We were so pleased with Michael and our shutters that we ordered additional shutters for the spare bedroom and bathroom.

When I had returned home all 3 of the blinds had all been hung. They looked great but the one hung in the family room was white like the 2 others! I distinctly remember discussing with Michael that I was looking for a deep reddish brown. When I looked at the paper work Bill had left with my husband sure enough, it said "mahogany". I called Michael and left a message on his voicemail and he within a half hour he called me back. He looked into the situation and found the factory had made the mistake and re-ordered mahogany for me. The white ones already hung would rmain up and Bil would give me a call to arrange the swap when the new ones came in. Meanwhile, back in the living room, my son-in-law decided to check out the tilting mechanism (it appeared odd too us, we always had aluminum or vinyl blins with a tilt wand) and when the slats were tilted down a rather large split (horizontal) appeared. I haven't told Michael this yet, but I will. And being the Proffesional that he is, I'm confident he'll come up with a solution. So far y only complaint has been with the manufacturer..... first producing the wrong color, then not providing inspection be fore the blinds left the factory.

Michael was great to work with, he was always very prompt in returning calls and showing up for appointments. He helped me to find a set of blinds that met both my design and budget criteria, always offering good suggestions without being a pushy sales type. The blinds came in when he said they would, and he installed them on the day that I requested. The install went very fast, and the blinds look awesome. Overall great job; I would not hesitate to call Michael again for my window treatment needs.

I contacted Michael of Advantage Blinds for an appointment to view samples of blinds and a price. He promptly returned my call and we arranged a meeting at my home. I enlisted his service and placed an order with half the amount charged as a deposit. He notified me within the approximate delivery date and set up a day for installation. He came out and installed the blinds in about 11/2 hours and removed all packaging and placed it in the garage tidily. We settled the remainder of the charges and he departed. I was very pleased to have consulted and chosen a well rated company through Angie's List. Michael was professional, responsive and prompt with calls and product, and comfortable and polite to speak with. I am very pleased with my blinds and the information offered. The reviews Michael receives is because he calls you back, arrives on time, has the product you may want, has realistic suggestions for your project, measures expertly, has competitive pricing, delivers the product on time, doesn't get rattled when problems arise, and is a seasoned installer. This was my experience with Michael. After weeks of working on my house I could not stand my old tired windows anymore so I decided to get new windows after Michael had my blinds already built, I was assured by the window salesman and the measure guy that my inside dimensions would not change. I was very clear. My blinds had been already built. No problem right? Wrong! The day of the window installation things changed quickly. Sure enough the installers had to do their job correctly so half of my window dimensions changed. Michael was not shook up on the day of the install at all. He installed what he could, sent back the other half to get cut down and returned one week later to complete the installation. Yes there was a charge for the blinds to be cut down but the window company agreed to pay. The blinds are the finishing touch they look and operate great.

I called to get an estimate. They came on time and did a great job of explaining my options. He gave me an estimate on the spot and it was so fair, that I gave him a down payment right then. Advantage was the only place I requested an estimate. I felt their prices were fair, the quality of the blinds are great (faux wood, but you really can't tell the difference). They told me it would be 10-14 days before installation. I received a call on day 11 and the same guy who gave the estimate did the installation (the owner). He was prompt, professional and efficient. This was one of the easiest transactions I've had since we purchased our house. We've had a lot of work done thus far and this was truly pain free. I know it sounds cheesy, but you really can't go wrong with Advantage.

We redecorated our family room - new colors and woodwork. We had a person from Great Indoors show us window treatments in the store and in our home. We were not satisfied with the proposed options, so we checked Angie's List and decided to call Mike. Mike came to our home and presented a couple of different brands. We selected Hunter Douglas. (We had installed Hunter Douglas treatments in our cottage up north just last summer, so we were familiar with the quality of the brand.) He explained a variety of mechanical options and material options the could be considered for our family room. We selected the treatments that we thought would be just right for our tastes. Calling Mike was our best decision. We are completely satisfied and we will call him in the future for other windows.

It went well. Advantage communicated well during the process and did a fantastic installation. They were quite helpful in helping us to pick out the best look for our situation. We are quite pleased with the experience.

We purchased blinds/shades for some of the windows in a new house from Advantage Blinds and were very happy. Michael was the last person we called (we found them on Angie's list). We originally tried Costco, but they're scheduling was inflexible and they didn't seem interested in our business. We then tried 3 Day Blinds, but the product selection was not so good. At least they helped narrow down our selections, since we didn't know anything about blinds/shades before we started. Michael was flexible and came the same day to show us his products (mostly Hunter Douglas). We liked that because we were in a hurry to get our blinds for privacy. Michael was very knowledgeable about the products and gave us good suggestions. He even saved us some money by suggesting less expensive, but just as good quality, Michigan-made blinds for certain rooms. Michael mentioned we would get a rebate on certain blinds, but while calculating our bill, it turned out we were ineligible because the new rules for the rebate required a minimum purchase. Michael immediately applied a discount to our bill for the amount of the rebate, no questions asked. This is very honest business dealings. Michael sent his business partner Bill to install our blinds. Bill was very professional and said he'd been installing blinds for over 24 years day in and day out. His experience definitely showed in his work. He took the time to answer any questions I had, and explained all sorts of tips and tricks for using the blinds and maintaining them. One blind turned out to be defective, and Bill called Hunter Douglas and ordered a new one, which arrived within a few days. Bill returned to install and hang that blind. Our window frame was crooked (they almost always are), but Bill took almost an hour to adjust the blind for the best coverage and look despite the uneven frame. This was amazing. We will definitely be calling them again when we are ready to buy the rest of the blinds for our house.
