DeClark's Landscaping Inc

We sent an on-line inquiry to DeClark's about using their lawn mowing service, Bryan DeClark came out in the morning to look at our property in person. We mentioned concerns with respect to the irrigation system and some new plantings. He got us a proposal in the afternoon which we accepted. Joe in the office got us on the schedule and sent out 2 men, each named Chris who were on time, professional, personable, and thorough. We plan on using additional DeClark's services in the future.

We paid for them to do a landscaping plan and they also quoted the project. We love the plan that they came up with. The only reason we didn't go with them is because their competitor had a three-year warranty.

They have re-landscaped our entire lawn. They are excellent. I would use them again. They offer great customer service. Their designer was a terrific guy to work with.

The gentleman who came out was quite attentive and professional walking through the various sites and reviewing the project. While he indicated they were quite busy I would have thought someone would have gotten back with me at some point in time. To date, I have never heard back from them-no quote, no plan-nothing. Quite disappointed.

This is the second year of a multi-year project to landscape out back yard. Last year, we spent $20,000 for DeClark to plant various trees and plants in our back yard. Needless to say, they did an excellent job last year.
The project this year was to install a brick paver patio and walkway. Sam Walker, our designer, designed a patio exactly according to what my wife wanted. He also created another design so we could have some options. We were so glad he did. When we saw his design, we loved it immediately.
The guys when scheduled and worked hard everyday. Unless weather came into play, they arrived at about 9:00 a.m. and worked until about 8:00 p.m. In the end, the patio and walkway are awesome! It amazes me how level the patio is and how perfectly the bricks were laid. The head crewmember has been doing this with DeClark's for 10+ years and it shows!
Now, we did have one snafu. The paver company sent the wrong color bricks, saying it was same color we ordered; just called a different name since it came from Illinois instead of Ohio. Well, it was not the same color. When we talked to Sam, he said that he would get the right color because that's what we wanted. However, he said it would take a while to get in and that he may have to delay completing our project because he would have to re-schedule his crew. My wife thought he was trying to get us to accept the bricks that were delivered; I thought he was just trying to explain the process so there were no surprises. In the, Sam worked it out where the bricks came in immediately and there was no delay.
Finally, in terms of price, I will tell you DeClark's was a little more expensive than other landscapers. However, with that price, you get a very experienced crew. Also, you get a great designer if you get Sam.

The quality of the plants is good. Their crew is very good. The person whom I deal with is always available to follow up if you have an issue. He is there and takes my call. He answers my questions. I haven't had any problems with the plants. When they were here, they didn't destroy anything while doing the job. It is overall a very good experience. I would use them in the future.

It was a pleasure to have had this crew do the work for us. We really felt the lawn was done very well and everything they installed really made the yard look beautiful. They came on time, were very respectful of the property, and cleaned up as if they were never here in the first place. I highly recommend their services and will be getting a maintenance contract for upkeep with them as well.
